HEBB2 - CHALLENGE 27: Fantasy Quidditch Team

To ALL housemates
Your 27th challenge is now here!

To pass the task:

* You are only allowed NO fails, which means if any housemates dont participate, you will fail.

This challenge is allowing more fails than usual to begin the HEBB experience

Help gain a pass

If
you notice members not posting near the end date then it is up to you
as housemates to get them to in order to help you all pass and
housepoints to be added. PM them, post in the HEBB chat thread or anything else you can think of!

Time for 27th task

This 27th task will be open until Tuesday 20th May 08 (gmt pm)

Housepoints

If the task has been successfully passed, 5000 housepoints will be added to the base housepoints

If
the task is a fail (any member fails to post their challenge) then 300 housepoints will be lost from the base housepoints

Each housemate that participates will also be awarded 100 housepoints each

THE CHALLENGE

You may have heard of fantasy football, this is fantasy quidditch. No, you dont need to rpg a match or anything like that, you simply have to create the team!

You need to fill the following positions with well known celebrities (acotrs, singers etc) but no one from HP films!

1 Keeper
3 Chasers
2 Beaters
1 Seeker

Plus Referee and commentator positions

You must give a short reason why you have chosen that celebrity for that position.

"First off I want to say that Dani Sunset's quidditch team is here to win, and for every game we do win our celeb. team will donate 100,000 dollars/euros, to any charity of the losing team's choice. We play to win...for charity. I'd like to introduce the members of our team starting off with...drumroll please...Orlando Bloom as Keeper he plays a great line up, and Ow-ow look at those looks!" Dani said holding onto a mike and introducing the members of her Fantasy team. Orlando stepped onto the stage and took a bow, he was wearing a dark navy blue robe, with silver linning.

Dani clapped for him before introducing the next members of the team, "Now ladies and Gents, we have a wild bunch here, our three lovely Chasers: Nicole Kidman , Drew Barrymore [/b} and our third and Final Chaser, [b]Hillary Duff!" The blonde manager was cheering as the ladies ran out in their navy robes.

Turing her attention back to the red curtains where the final three teammates sat waiting for their names to be called, dani read off the beaters names. "Prepare to meet our amazing beaters, twin brothers who seem to have a weird talent of sharing thoughts, please welcome Dylan and Cole Sprouse!" The crowd cheered just as Dani had hoped.

There was one person left sitting behind the stage's curtain, the crowd went silent before Dani announced the name. "Last but not even close to least, our seeker, who is known legendaryily around the world for her talent and grace, VANESSA CARLTON!!"

Dani waited for the excitment of the previous cheers to calm down before announcing the ref, "Tom hanks as ref, and Paul McCartny as commentator!"

Keeper: Gerad Way. For no other reason except his extraordinary good looks. yum...
Seeker:Jonny Depp. Well... My logic is this: He was seeing random things near the beginning of pirates three so perhaps he will see the snitch?
Chaser: Trent Ford. Hello, serious hottie!
Chaser: Adam Brody. He is smart and good looking. Awesome!
Chaser: Jeff Dunham. He is that random hilarious comedian with all them puppets. Lol.
Beater: Shawn Micheals (a.k.a. HBK) As a well known WWE superstar I think he could put those enormusly yummy muscles to work by hitting Bludgers as the opposition!
Beater: John Cena. Same reason as above xD

Our Uniform would be dark blue with black and our team name... TEAM AWESOME!

Let me introduce you to the team who wear the colours of gold and silver with bells hanging from their fingers and toes!!

Our Keeper is the well known Angelina Jolie as with those lips, no quaffles are getting into the goal!

Our chasers are a mixed group. Firstly we have Tom Hanks who has been seen doing a lot of running and chasing which he brings to the broomstick with the words 'Run, Forest, Run' following him from the stands! Secondly let me introduce Chevy Chase - his name says it all for the perfection of this position! Lastly we have long distance runner, Paula Radcliff, who is as fast on a broomstick as she is on the track!

Now let me introduce our 2 Beaters. Firstly, I should mention that in the boxing ring, these two show great strength, something their bring into their beater position. Please welcome Muhammad Ali and Rocky Marciano

An now onto our Seeker Nicolas Cage who is well known for his seeking of national treasure and so is perfect for this position

Thank you for taking the time to come to the summer preview of my new Quidditch team, Rigby's 9091ers! As promised here is the full line up of my rather spectacular and famous team:

Keeper- Robert Downey Jr.
After a spectacular return to the silver screen as this summer's Iron Man, Robert is looking to further advance his career by dominating the world of Quidditch. Not only has the actor worked hard to physically and mentally get back in shape, but his sharp wit will be key in distracting the other team as they attempt to score on the wily Downey.

Chaser- Keifer Sutherland
Keifer has spent the last several years as alter ego Jack Bauer, a kick butt agent and savior of the world. Keifer will bring that same intensity and dedication to scoring goals. The line between Keifer Sutherland and Jack Bauer is often blurry and when the game appears lost he is exactly the man you want on your side. Jack Bauer does not lose. Ever.

Chaser- Jennifer Gardner
Showing my love for spy shows, former star of Alias, Jennifer Gardner, joins the 9091ers after much persuasion. The talented and athletic star is hardworking, never one to quit, and shows determination. Jenn has a talent for coming up with plays that put the points up on the board.

Chaser- James McAvoy
This Scottish actor bends bullets and breaks hearts on the big screen, and on the Quidditch field he displays some truly stunning style and skill. Of all the teammate on the 9091ers he is the only non-Muggle. Although he chose acting over a place at Hogwarts, he is a magical man nontheless.

Beater- Ed Westwick
He's young, he's eager to prove himself, and the fact that I LOVE HIM doesn't hurt. English born Ed plays wicked New York elitist Chuck Bass on Gossip Girl, and handles the broom as well as Chuck once handled B... *sigh* He brings a delightful viciousness to beater attacks that will knock fans off their feets and opponents off their broomsticks

Beater- Britney Spears
This girl has taken more shots than a paparazzi's camera. Now it's her turn to beat down both naysayers and opponents. She made a return from la-la land on How I Met Your Mother, and now she has worked hard to get back into shape and prove that she's more than a washed up has been. As Britney puts it, "Ya'll can laugh if you want, but ya'll will remember my name when I put a bludger in your behind!"

Seeker- Chris Martin
If my husband Aaron is my Edward, then be assured Chris is my Jacob. His voice can charm a snitch to chase him, making my Rigby's 9091ers the future high scorers of the Quidditch world. But don't worry, Chris won't sing to the snitch right away in order to allow the rest of his team a chance to show off their skills before the snitch dive bombs into the silver tongued crooners open hands.

For our very special first game we are lucky to introduce Celebrity Referee, Barack Obama! The presidential hopeful is fair and honest (well as honest as any politician can be) man who in an effort to win your votes will do his best to run a clean (as clean as Quidditch games can be) game.

And for your entertainment we have Sir Paul McCartney as Commentator. Not only did he and fellow bandmate John Lennon give birth to Rigby's name and team (Eleanor Rigby for a Paul song, The One after 909 for a John song) but he is also looking to make his first big appearance since his highly profiled divorce from She Who Shall Not Be Named. Welcome back, Paul!

Press Release - May 16, 2008

Pamela [last name removed for privacy purposes] has put together a fantasy quidditch team. This team is comprised solely of muggle celebrities. The forming of this team which will play in a series for charity purposes, is one in many recent moves toward muggle/wizarding cooperation.

Steve Howey, who gained fame as Van from the American muggle television show, Reba, will be playing the position of keeper. He was chosen because of the athletic ability he has shown in a muggle sport known as basketball, which does hold similarities to quidditch.

The three chasers are well known from another American muggle television show, The L Word. These three ladies are Erin Daniels a.k.a. Dana, Katherine Moenig a.k.a. Shane, and Sarah Shahi a.k.a. Carmen. Pamela would like to state that she "did not pick these three ladies purely for the show they star in. They each have the appropriate build to play chaser. It is true, however, that I liked the roundness of having chasers who had something in common."

The two beaters to be featured are Dane Cook, a well known comedian and recent star of quite a few movies, and Ryan Reynolds, also a well known comedian and actor. Both these men are of an ideal build for the position of beater, with powerful upperarms and strong shoulders. Again Pamela would like to say that her decision was "not based on looks alone. Many know me as quite a fan of these two gentlemen. The only way that looks were taken into account is that I like the beaters on a team to look similar."

The youngest player on the field by quite a bit will be none other than Frankie Muniz filling the position of seeker. Mr. Muniz is quite small and seems to have an athletic ability not seen in many of his fellow child stars.

Pamela has selected as celebrity commentator, Ellen DeGeneres. Ms. DeGeneres is a well-known commedienne and daytime television personality. She is tremendously witty and energetic, and will lend a unique point-of-view to the commentary on the games.

Pamela felt that the most logical choice for a referee was David Beckham. He is well-known and loved by the British and Americans alike. The muggle sport of football (real football, not the American version) is easily the one with the most parallels with quidditch. It would be quite simple for him to grasp the rules. "And let's face it, we have to have someone who was picked mostly on looks," Pamela says.

The name of Pamela's team is The Falcons. The will have robes of navy blue and gold. They will fly under the slogan, "Not another pretty face."

Okay welcome The Flamer's!!!!

Here's the line-up:

Our starting Keeper is the famous hottie Nick Jonas!!!! He's a talented singer with a great body and amazing athletic skills. He's a great gymnast, being able to do an ariel twist I don't think any Quaffle will pass by him.

Our Chasers include the gorgeous Channing Tatum!!!! He's an actor and a great athlete, also, Matthew Cohen. He's a talented actor on the Muggle show "South of Nowhere". And the last Chaser is UFC fighter George St. Pierre. He's a good looking, great fighter who is super athletic.

Our Beaters are the beautiful girls Blake Lively and Hayden Panettierre. This is a couple of wonderfl actresses who are young in their careers. This bunch of lively girls are sure to spice things up.

And our Seeker is the great Jennifer Aniston. She's a great actress in a bunch of movies and tv show's. You gotta love our Seeker!!

Our Commentator is Joe Rogan. This man has commentated for Ultimate Fighter's Championship for a while, he should do good with us, dont' you think?

Our refferee is also from UFC. Welcome Mario Yamasaki!!!

This si our team!!! Their uniform is red robes with a orange and yellow trimming. This bunch of good looking folks will surely win the crowd over!!! Welcome the fantasy quidditch team!!!!

Keeper- Sarah Michelle Gellar. She has quick reflexes that would make her excellent for catching the quaffle before it can get through the hoop. After all she had been fighting off vampires for how long.
Seeker- Johnny Depp. The other team’s seeker would be too busy looking at Johnny and would forget about the Bludger making it so that he could get an easy caught
Beater- John Cena. He is a wrestler and would be able to handle himself out on the field while he is up against those nasty Bludgers.
Beater- The Rock. Another wrestler but he too would be able to hit those Bludgers real far away from his team mates and aim that at deadly speeds towards opposing team.
Chaser- Orlando Bloom. How could you not accept Orlando on your qudditch team? He has the looks and well…. Does he need anything else?
Chaser- Marty Klubba (sp) Also in Pirates of the Caribbean he is much shorter than the other chaser and he would have an advantage to be able to get past the opposing chaser without getting the quaffle knocked out of his arms
Chaser- Will Smith- he has been in a lot of movies that involve doing a lot of active things and he would be able to use those things that he has done in the movies out on the field
Referee- Tim Allen- he seems like a man who would make things fair
Commentator- Eddie Murphey. That way if there were anyone there who really didn’t like to watch qudditch he would make the game more fun.

Red robes with blue crest and inside of the crest is a green dragon with gold in front of its feet

The Killer K's (well they will be a killer team, and well they are mine so they have to at least have my name somewhat LoL)

Keeper
Harrison Ford, common he's Indiana Jones and Hans Solo, he's a Jedi plus he can spot buried treasure from a mile away. He's got the whole keeper thing in the bag.

Seeker
Parker Posey, she's my only girl. But she is one awesome girl! She's usually so mean and so vicious that pretty much any opposing seeker is going to be much to afraid to even come close to her, much less fight with her for the snitch.

Chaser
Ben Barnes, he's so pretty that any girl on an opposing team would be so entranced by his man beauty that they'd forget to pay attention to the fact that he was scoring on them.

Chaser
Jackson Rathbone, well he's hot plus he's on the smaller side so I think he'd be extremely quick and agile on a broom. And if he could bring a little of his vampire powers along with him, then all the better, he could help my team be one angry and feisty little team.

Chaser
Jensen Ackles, well he's hot plus he's pretty quick on Supernatural with moving out of the way of getting hit. Or well maybe he gets hit a lot? Either way I don't think the bludgers will faze him to much, as he gets hit in the face on his tv show just about every week. So he's basically an unstoppable chaser.

Beater
Samuel L. Jackson because well lets face it he's the man. Plus he is very intimidating and can be very scary if he wants to be, thus perfect beater.

Beater
Tom Cruise, he can jump up and down on his broom while swinging his bat around talking about how the opposing beaters and chasers are so Glib. Now whats more fierce than that?

Referee
Synister Gates, he's awesome plus he's too intimidating for anyone to argue with. Plus he can play a mean guitar solo

Commentator
Kat Williams, he is hilarious and he would have the people in the stands in stitches as he made fun of the opposing team.

Uniforms: All Black with silver trimmings and a big silver K on the back with a bright orange snake wrapping itself around the letter. Their gloves and paddings are white, boots/shoes are black with white laces. You could describe the teams look as dark and demented

Keeper:Orlando Bloom He has great balance and would be able to defend the hoops at ease.

Chaser 1:Ashton Kutcher He would be awesome as a chaser, as hes shown total potential by keeping up with Demi and Bruce.

Chaser 2:Bruce Willis Whom better to play with Ashton and know every move he will make. He would take chances and never make mistakes. Also hes always around when things get hot.

Chaser 3:Tom Cruise He would be the best chaser by putting his skills into action. Through tons of movie acting, he has gained a good advantage.

Beater 1:Christina Aguilera She would totally kick "A" double hockey stick... whoot!

Beater 2:Britney Spears She would work well with Christina and somehow Brit and Chris would give signals that only they would know.

Seeker:Kate Homes She has worked at searching at her life, and when she knows what she wants to goes for it, no matter what. She would be a great seeker.

The Twi-hards--the twilight cast, as their characters.:: Uniform, pure white with their team and last names written in silver sprawling cursive on the back. They also have huge flowing capes. Because capes are awesome.

Keeper:: . Taylor Lautner, playing Jake Black in twilight films spends a good amount of his time protecting Bella from Victoria. Since hes so dedicated to protecting Bella, he could translate this into Quidditch and keep the quaffle from the hoop. Or he could turn into his werewolfy self. Which is pretty Fawesome too.

Chaser:: Jackson Rathbone, as Jasper would be able to create good plays to win the game and get the quaffle through the hoops. He would also work well with Ashley/Alice and Nikki/Rosalie.

Chaser:: Ashely Greene, as she plays Alice can see the future and anticipate the other’s seekers moves. Thus, she would be able to stop the other team and catch the snitch in record time.

Chaser:: Nikki Reed, as Rosalie would have the determination to get the quaffle and score points. She would work well with the other chasers and would stun the other team with her beauty so they could score points.

Beater:: Kellan Lutz, as Emmett has major strength. He would be able to pretty much kill the other team if he hit them with the bludger, but uhh, this could help his team. *cough*

Beater:: Billy Burke, as Charlie Swan since I think Charlie would be just a little angry that his daughter was running around with vampires. I think getting out all his anger by hitting bludgers would be good therapy for him.

Seeker:: Rachelle Lefevre, as Victoria has beastly skills at tracking people and getting what she wants. Thus, she would also be beastly at tracking down the snitch before the other team.

Commentator:: Michael Welch, as Mike Newton has such a good sense of humor and would probably have some..interesting comments to make on the game otherwise..

Referee:: Elizabeth Reaser, as Emse is able to keep everyone working together fairly. Here, I think she would be able to do the same and keep them playing fair with the other team.
