A hero? She wouldnt have even been bitten if Edward wasnt in her life! James would have never found her, hence, she wouldnt have been bitten. Also, the Voutri wouldnt even have known her, if it wasnt for the fact Edward decided to do something stupid! Also, he is the reason for why Bella got closer to Jacob. If he had not left her, she wouldnt have tried to hurt herself alot just to hear his voice. No, he is no hero only a coward trying to make things better.

If Edward had had enough self control and ability to take responsibility for his actions in the first place, he wouldn't have even tempted Bella because he never would have looked at her. Over 100 years, you'd think that he's learn to control his bloodthirstiness more. And Edward is so selfish, he practically rips Bella apart every time he has to go on about Jacob being a werewolf and how they shouldn't be friends, even though he does give in after a while. He also fails to see that being immortal, as well as being a curse at times, is a gift. Edward is and will always be an angsty teenager anxious to escape the fate that has been given to him, whether the world he lives in is beautiful or not.

How do I know? If they were not playing baseball, do you think she would have been in the field? I didnt think so. They were passing by, not looking for Bella, she would have been at her house, not in a field during a thunderstorm.

Good point Violet. And if Bella had enough rationality, which is extremely hard to have around Edward, to see what was happening, perhaps she would have left him. But Edward was also to selfish to give up Bella forever, he mentions that that he was almost ready to give up and go back to her like a dog with it's tail between it's legs in New Moon when he could no longer stand to be away from her. Edward is utterly selfish and is blinded to the needs of others by his own desires.

But in leaving, Edward tried to fool both himself and Bella into believing that they shouldn't have been together and the effects were disastrous. He created a fear of losing what she loved best in Bella and that's a wound that I don't think will ever heal. And because he thinks he knows what's best for everyone and he tried to make everything go the way he wanted it to, he put Bella at the mercy of the Volturi.

I think Edward, in that case, was extremely blind not to see what he did to Bella. Anyone could have known what that would do to her. I mean, she is only human.

Edward is not a Hero. Edward isn't a hero because of all his reckless stupid disisions. If edward was a hero he wouldn't have asked Bella to marry him because he knew that it would cause complacations especailly if she isn't a vampire herself. Edward finds somethings jhard to resist, like hating Jacob. If Edward was a hero then he would be able to accept Jacob and get on with their lives, because they live similar lifestyles. Why can't they just get along?

Edward is forever a teenager ruled by his hormones. You'd think that after over 100 years of practice, he'd be perfect... right? But oh, no. I think that Edward still can't separate his being jealous of Jacob for being there for Bella, when he ran away like a dog with it's tail between it's legs because he was trying to do the 'right thing', from his relationship with Bella. All that eloquent talk about werewolves being too dangerous for Bella to be around is just a cover up for the fact that Edward is afraid he has competition. And anyway, it tears Bella apart that the two people she loves the best hate each other. I mean, really! If Edward was half as kind, loving, caring, and perfect as Bella though he was, then he'd let her spend time with Jacob, who happens to be her personal sun.

Going back to how utterly selfish Edward is, didn't he also practically force Bella to marry him? Come on! There has to be some law against that! I'm sure it doesn't cover vampires making you dizzy and senseless so you'll agree to whatever they want but the intent is clear. Edward Cullen used his beautiful eyes and vampiric beauty to lure Bella into putting on that ring and agreeing to marry him. Did Edward even think about the repercussions that his actions would have on Bella? Such as her parents not giving their approval, which could ultimately separate her from them more so than she was planning to do. Yeah Edward, chew on that! And, Bella's right on one thing. No one smart, well- educated, and led to believe that early marriage is the equivalent of selling your soul to the devil in the 21st century marries early. When in Rome do as the Romans do. When living in a different century, follow the rules and dictations of that century, not your own.
