GRYFFINDOR CONCERT

Pad walked on stage and took his place. He grabbed the microphone and got ready to start singing. He was wearing his hair in his narmal fashion and was wearing a jacket with a Bob the badger glow stick.

( YAYY BOB THE BADGER GLOW STICK)

"WOOO GO PADFOOT!" scream Candy in the audience. (Hahah I couldn't help myself)

Ginny, who was standing next to Candy also screamed,

"ALRIGHT PADFOOT!!! ROCK THE BOB THE BADGER!!!" she had actually given him the glowstick and had come along to make sure that he wore it.

::WL came onto the stage along with swift and cheery. Duck got ready behind her drum kit, skully flexed her fingers and becky ran her fingers along her guitar strings::

"OK PEOPLE YOU'VE COME TO SEE

CLAW!!!!!!

We're gonna do a bit of introducin' now...DO YOU LIKE DISNEY????"

"Yes!!!" screamed the crowd.

"Hey, twin Lisas did you hear that? No, I didn't either! I SAID DO YOU LIKE DISNEY!?!?"

"YEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!"

"Well we have a set of disney adaptions...JUST FOR YOU!!!!!"

::As Becky twanged out the opening chords, WL walked forwards confidently and flashed a dazzling smile at the audience, singing the first two verses of "NEXT TO THE LAKE!" (to the tune of Under the Sea in the Little Mermaid)

"The Quidditch pitch is always greener,
In somebody else’s school,
You dream about going over there
But that wouldn’t make you cool.

Just look at the grounds around you,
Right here within Hogwarts door,
Such wonderful things around you,
Like the best house of Gryffindor!!!!!!"

All of them screamed out

"WO OHHH!!!!!"

and the chorus,

Darling it’s better, wearing red sweater’s,
There’s no mistake!"

::WL moved back, moving her hips to the beat and grinning as Padfoot took over for the next couple of verses...The music was really getting into her system now!!!::

::Duck was happily drumming away as WL sang the first verse of 'Next to the Lake'. The crowd was going wild, and the band were really getting into the swing of things.

She watched as Padfoot took his place ready to sing the next verse.::

"I LOVE YOU PAD!!!!!!!" etta shouted from beside Ginny and Candy, before walking up to the Claw's manager and getting her 10 galleons.

"Rock on CLAW!"

"The Ravenclaw’s they work all day,
In the library they slave away,
While we’re a-flying,
Slytherin’s are crying,
Next to the lake!

In Hogwarts, the lions are happy,
As off through the sky they soar,
The snakes in the pit ain’t happy,
They sad ‘cos they’re such a bore.
But snakes in the pit’s unlucky,
They’re in for a worser fate,

::Pad then ran over too the edge of the stage and gave high five's to people who hand there hands out."THEY LOVE ME!!" He shouted with a small laugh to Duckie.
Then Pad sang and gave a little nod to the next person to sing and that person is...::

"We’re who the Slyth’s like to tease,"

::Swift jumped onto stage, singing the next few lines::

"Next to the lake we catch the breeze,
We got no losers,
Out of uz croozers,
Next to the lake! Next to the lake!"

::"How're y'all doin' out there?!" she shouted. She grinned at everyone in the crowd, her school tie hanging loosely around her neck. The thrill of being stage was exhilirating::

"Since life is great here,
We’ve got fab mates here,
Naturally (naturally)

We’ve got the spirit,
You’ve got to hear it,
Next to the lake!"

::Swift held onto the last note, belting it out for all it was worth.

The crowd went wild, shouting their praises to CLAW!::

::Rip temporarily abandoned her guitar, and leaped to the front of the stage.

"Are you ready for some rap?" she shouted.::

"YES!" ::cried the crowd.::

"The Rip plays the drip,
The Duck plays the cup,
The swift plays the rift,
And they’re sounding ‘sup!

The Pad plays the Mad,
The Cheery plays the eerie,
The Wallie plays the Brolly,
Yeah!

The ‘dand in the band
The Moony goes loony,
We rock it out!

We play and we sing,
Amongst other things,
We know where it’s at,
And oh those lions go!"

"SOOO DOO YOU...WANT...MOREEEEEEEE!?!?!?" Pad yelled as he grabbed the mic.

::Swift, WL and Cheery were alternating lines as well as harmonising them, knowing that the crowd were fuelling their energy::

What do Huff got?
A lot of yellow,
We’ve got members who are so mellow,

::With WL taking over from Swift, and the climax of the song drawing near, the noise level grew (if possible!)::

Each little cub here,
Down in the pub here,

::Swift was still singing, her mic down by her side, as Cheery sang the next part::

Each little lioness here,
Know how to play chess here,
Next to the lake!

::The three leads looked at each other expectantly, and a slight pause in the music signalled their ending to the song, as they sang the last three lines::

Ya we’re in luck here,
Down in the muck here,
Next to the lake!

::Swift cheered with everyone else, gearing herself up for the next song::

::Pad then got ready to sing his part...::

Pillow raised a brow. The claws weren't too shabby...

etta did the moonwalk across the hall and slipped out of the door back into her own concert. Quickly back tracking she popped her head round the doors and screamed,

"WE LOVE HUFFLEPUFF!"

"OOPPPS, I LOVE CLAW!!!!!!!!!!!"

::Duck grinned as the crowd went wild for 'Next to the Lake'. She twirled her drumsticks in her hand as she prepared for their next number - a ballad called "Part of Our House".

She began to beat away the intro on her drumkit, as Skully began to play her keyboard.

Pad then started singing too

"GO PAD!!!!"

::Cheery walked on stage and grabbed the mic. She looked really confident as she began to sing 'Part of Our School.'::

"Look at this castle,
Isn’t it neat?
Wouldn’t you think our house is complete?
Wouldn’t you think we’re the ones,
The ones who win everything?

Look at this house,
Red and gold,
How many members can one house hold?
Looking around here you’d think,
(sure), We’ve got everything!"

::Looks around for the person who sings the next verse and spots them approaching the mic. Cheers could be heard all through the crowd at that point::

::Duck kept up her steady drum beat as Cheery sang the ballad. The crowd were swaying gently to the tune, waving their lit wands in the air, and cheering when Cheery stepped away from the mic.

Duck waited for the next person to sing "PART OF OUR HOUSE"

::Swift grinned at Lisa, and carried on with the song::

We’ve got Swift and Duck and Moony,
We’ve got Rip, WL and Paddy too.
You want a Cheery?
We’ve got twenty.
But who cares?
Not the snakes!
We want more!

We wanna see
Wanna see them winning!
Flying around on those,
(whad’ya call them) oh – brooms

Wands are required fighting, duelling

(what’s the word again?) Runes!

::It was the first time Swift had tried her American accent, and happily, it worked! She turned to WL, who needed to finish the last part of the song::

::Cheery smiled. She looked at WaterLily who had just gotten to the mic and new that her performance would be perfect!::

"Hit it WL"

::WL waited as Skully finished her little solo and then faced the audience, who were looking expectantly at her...

She opened her mouth and sang in the richest, sweetest voice she had, the last, final verse, to make the lasting impact on the audience...

"Up where we fly!
Up where we soar!
Up where we throw back our heads and roar!
Flying free,
Slytherin’s wish they could be,
Part of our hooooouuuse"

::WL lingered on the last note as the audience let it sink into their systems slowly. Then, as one, they all stood up and screamed...WL looked around breathing heavily as the crowd roared their approval...she flashed her cheeky grin once more and said,

"YOU WANT MORE?!"

"YES!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"ARE YOU SURE??" screamed swifty,

"YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!"

"HERE WE GO THEN, with a wonderful rendition of IN THE CASTLE!!!!!!!!!!"

"In the castle, the mighty castle the lions win tonight!
In the castle, the Hogwarts castle the lions win tonight!

Awoooo oooooo weeea wimbaway!

Near the pitch, the Quidditch pitch the lions win tonight!
Near the village the Hogsmeade village the lions win tonight!

Awoooo oooooo weeea wimbaway"

::Pad then nodded towards the next person to sing the next part::

Swift was filling in the parts in between all the words, with her pure voice of:

Pillow was shocked at Swify's voice. She was so good! "YEAH SWIFTY!!!!!"

"Swift you have the best voice I have ever heard!!"
"And I mean it!!"

::Duck, who had been watching from the wings with the rest of the band, applauded along with the crowd as Skully played the final note of her piano solo.

When she'd finished, the band stepped back onto the stage, to see the crowd going wild.

Duck heard several shouts of "WE LOVE YOU SKULLY!" and "GO CLAW!" from the near-hysterical audience.::

"GO CLAW!!!!!" Caro screams so loud she can and roars like a lion. "SWIFTY I LOVE YOU MORE THAN JESSE!!!!" (rofl...)

"YAY GO CLAW!!!!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU SKULLY! CLAW RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

next music! I can't stand the silence!!!"

::Swift let the shouting and screaming cool down, then stepped forward into the limelight. She counted herself into her next song in her head, preparing herself::

Skyla clapped at the amazing singing of running swift before feeling that she had betrayed her own house too long. Slinking back out the door, she crained her neck hoping to hear more

::Etta jumped up and downa nad cheered along with the crowd.

"GO CLAW!"

::Duck began to play the drum intro to Claw's next song, entitled 'A Spoonful of Courage'.

Skully soon joined in with her keyboard, and Rip on the guitar. And then one of the Gryffindor singers began the song...

::Swift looked at the two other leads, and they signalled her start::

In every spell that must be done,
There is an element of fun,
You find the fun and swoosh,
The spell’s a game.

And every duel you undertake,
Becomes a piece of cake,
A swish! A flick!
It’s going to be quick…

::She looked at them, letting them carry on and blast the next part as an awesome harmony::

"That a spoonful of courage,

Helps Gryffindor’s win every time,
In the most courageous way!"

::Pad then noddeed to the next person to sing some of the amazing song!::

::WL belted out the last verse of “A Spoonful of Courage”,

“A lion at their best,
Finds very little time to rest,
Whilst gathering their wits and swords and shields.
They’re quite intent in their pursuit,
A lot of spells they will shoot,
They know a hex,
Will best test their reflex.”

And the other singers joined in loudly for the last chorus.

::As the crowds cheered wildly, WL stepped forward and took the mike, ready to sing her solo. Skully, had agreed to accompany her so she gave her a grateful smile and turned to introduce her song to the fans.::

“HEY EVERYONE!!!!!! ARE YOU READY FOR ANOTHER SONG?!”

“YEAH!!!!!!!!!!”

“I’M NOT SURE BUT I THINK YOU SAID YES!!!!”

“YEAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!”

“Right, then, this song is dedicated to our wonderful Headmistress, Elfie Dumbledore, who, like myself and others, is a tremendous fan of The Sound of Music! I hope you like it; it’s called “The Castle’s Alive!”

::WL took a deep breath and started singing after skully played the opening chords.::

“The castle’s alive
With the lives of students
The work they have done
For a thousand years

The castle is full
With the lives of students
The lives they have led
It has watched them through

Like the air on the Quidditch pitch
And the lake in the breeze

::Swift, revelling in the delight of WL's voice, dreamily watched as Elfie bounded across the stage with her hippo. WL's happy song was just what the crowd needed before the grand finale. She mentally prepared herself for the challenge that this song presented to her, hoping against hope that she would perform it with ease and confidence. She had written it for Faith, knowing that they were doing their Gryffindor Angel proud.

She stepped into the front of the stage once again, settling herself on a lone maroon chair at the front of the stage. Her dark brown hair cascaded down her back, the copper highlights shining in the light.

Skully started her piano intro, the music filling the silent Hall. Swift raised the mic, singing in her sweetest voice::

We live in a world, that doesn't give us our lives

Swift ended the song, tears forming in her eyes. She had promised herself that she wouldn't cry, but she was near to it, and if she did, her make-up would run, so it wasn't the wisest thing in the world. She looked out to the silent crowd, who were slowly getting to their feet, the light applause growing into cheering. Smiling, Swift looked back at her bandmates, the tears really falling. This was it. The end of the first Battle of the Bands.

CLAW took a bow to the crowd, holding their postions. A flash of gold lighted the stage, and three lions sprang from the front of it, as the band Side-Apparated off the stage as they all grabbed tightly onto WaterLily's arm.

The hall resonated with a 'Thank you'... ::

"WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME SWIFTERS YEAH!!!!!!!!!"
