The past few days have been pretty good weather :D But apparantly there's a thunderstorm coming tonight...

I have a bike but I hardly ever use it... for one thing, it's years old and pink (ew!) and for another I don't really feel safe riding on the roads, so the only place I go on my bike is along the canal to Earlswood :D At least at the end of the canal path there there's an ice cream shop XD

Dude, it's NOT as good as Men in Tights - Men in Tights is way better.

I can't wait to get to Australia! I would be happy with Sweden, I just need to get away from Finland xD

Is it possible to just get sick of people? Like not all people, just the people in your own country? xD That's how I feel. I feel just annoyed by Finnish people, and it's starting to make me angry :D

And I've just HAD IT with obnoxious people that have nothing else to complain about than their own lives and how much it sucks, and just how "fat" they are and how their crushes don't even see them and so on... it's like ARRRRRRRRGH!!!!!

Imagine listening to that for an hour in a bus on your way home, while sporting a 40 C degreed fever and a pneumonia, trying your best not to fall asleep xD

Well, I was in no state of yelling, I could barely walk! Otherwise, I would've given them a nice "little" speech about how the world does not spin around them, and their stupid problems aren't that huge and great... xD

Anyway.

There are people that just forget there are other people around them, though :D This one time there was a woman who practically screamed in her cell about her meeting with her gynecologist - that was fun.

Yeah, I know what you mean. This one time, when I went to meet Nick at his driving school, there were two men from Africa, or something, and they kept yelling at the driving teacher how he's a racist, jsut because he told them that their payment for the lessons was late :D It's quite funny how you can't even tell them "Hey, this is how we do it in Finland - deal with it!" because they immediatly start screaming about racism. I mean, you're supposed to live according to our laws if you want to live here, so it's a bit... weird :D

So basically, we're supposed to let them do whatever they want to, because we're not racists. Great! xD

Don't generalise. It's surely not *all* immigrants that being rude and unwilling to integrate. Plus, it doesn't really motivate them to integrate if they are being regarded with suspect to start with.

Yeah, I agree Cris. It's usually the rudest people who have the loudest voices (figuratively) - so those are the ones who attract the negative attention.

But Kim.. if you really think that.... try to change something about the situation. Do something small. Get a Mexican friend and teach them English, for example. Show interest for their culture. Be open.

Because just thinking of them as "annoying" won't make life easier for any of the parties.

I did try to be friendly towards them - and ended up being called something that's not allowed to say on this site! It was quite shocking, actually... apparently in their culture it's not right for a boy and a girl to walk hand-in-han, and when I picked up the man's books and handed them to him, and actually SMILED TO HIM, he just gave me this disgusted look and called me... "wonderful things"

So that's when I stopped trying, and just kept my thoughts to myself :D

But there are nice immigrants too. I didn't meant o generalize, if someone thought I did... I have quite a few friends who are from Kosovo, Russia and so on, and they're all nice.

...obviously, since they're my friends :D

Today was confusing.....I am hoping to stay active in the GHCR....I tried once, didnt work...now I am going to try again...LOL

I knew his culture was something like that (I had a vague idea xD), but I thought he would know that I have my own culture, too!

And I agree with you Carrot. He should have also thought that he's on other race's country and should be sensitive and open-minded as he can be if he wants to be not hated. XD I f that had happened to me, well, I might also not say anything, though I'll not stop trying to befriend his other likes. Trying, I should say, is listed on my dictionary's 'a' page. XD

Oh and - Sashi :D - I had a family of Korean neighbours in Warsaw, actually. They were nice people, even if we didn't have the chance of getting close to them. They had two kids, aged 5 and 7, who were soooo cute. :D Ooooh I wants to eat them! xD Though I must say, having lived in the appartment on top, I did get to smell the fish they cooked quite a few times and didn't really like it ... XD Oh well. I guess you can't compare tastes. XD

I had Twitter for like a week after randomly finding it and then all of a sudden HE peoples started adding me.

I am still trying to figure out how everyone found me xD Maybe cause I added Ame? haha

I refuse to get Twitter, MySpace, Bebo (or WHATEVER that place is :D), Facebook, hi5 or anything else like that xD I had a rather traumatic experience a few years ago, and THAT scared me from places like that.

Yeah, blame on the person who had no life and temporary ruined mine :D
