Hello everyone! Okay so, we know that recently I did a “recruitment drive” for writers to join the paper. It is with a disappointing heart that I report (no pun intended lol) productivity has once again stalled with the same people completing their pieces and submitting them.

Although the writers who contribute are very much appreciated, I feel that the Pensieve Editions are still too light on features. Therefore I am enforcing a 3 strike and your out rule. As well as restructuring the paper.

3 STRIKE RULE:

If you have so far failed to submitted work for the previous two editions please consider this your third and final chance. Should you fail to submit work for the next edition I will ask Rai to revoke your access to Head Quarters.
Do not fear however, if personal reasons/internet problems (we all have them) have been the cause of your lack of participation, you will be henceforth known as a Free Lancer. Meaning you may submit a piece to the Pensieve if you feel it strongly needs to be featured.
If your lack of participation is due to laziness or trouble meeting deadlines, unfortunately you will have to accept your P45 (google it if you don't know what one is) and kindly disembark at the next landing of Pensieve Airlines.
If you are struggling for creativity take a look at my proposed reshuffle and see if you can contribute to the areas I am going to change.

Proposed Reshuffle:

I would like to structure the Pensieve better, at present the only thing that is structured is the Editor's Babble which is the greeting to each edition. My structure is:

FEATURES: This part of the Pensieve will be the place to be for work such as Ettie Skeeter, RPG article, Opinions, Interviews, Horror-scopes and any Articles about the general world.
SPORTS: Theres more to sport then just Quidditch. We need reports on things like Football, American Football, Aussie Rules (I think that's what its called.) Formula 1, Basketball, Cricket, Hockey etc.

CELEBVILLE: So, Celebville will be for in-site gossip and actual celeb gossip (if you're borrowing from TMZ make sure you put your own spin on it and not just copy and pasting what they wrote), the latest happenings, who's hot/not, who's dating who (because we all secretly hear a celeb is dating someone and go, oh no, I hate her he could do soooo much better etc, don't deny it I know you do ) Latests news on celeb behaviour on sets of films (yes I do think it wise to mention a certain Idiot-Batman) and in recording studios. Also, awards are flying off the shelves so maybe we could do special “red carpet” reports with our own twist (like, “John Barrowman arrived at last nights BAFTA's wearing a green tutu and sporting Nora Batty Tights (again google if your don't know what I mean *giggles at that image in her mind* on his arm was the lovely David Tennant who was wearing Dalek PJ's in a reminder to all Who fans that he looks good in anything.)

REVIEWS: Home to all reviews, movies, books, music, RPG. And because I can barely find an album by someone which will be released worldwide, I'm going to do a WATCH THIS SPACE section where new acts/unknown acts will be featured, as well as an Album review and also Single Reviews. Movies I would like it if we could have a “just released at the flicks” review of a new film as well as DVD reviews. Books I'd like to have a review on lets say 3 books. Oh and maybe we could do a “Site to Visit” review as well.

CHATTER: Sometimes its good to let everyone know that we are actually human beings and not robots locked within my cages hidden from view and only allowed out once per edition, So, I propose we have a “free for all” thread where we can vent our spleens or just say a special hi to everyone ... or just chat away amongst yourselves and I'll surprise you with snippets here and there hehe.

EDITORIALS: You know how mugglenet have Editorials? Well now so shall we, Editorials will be open for everyone, members and Pensieve staff, and they can be on anything! Not just Harry Potter.

GOSSIP GIRLZ: Okay so, I've never seen the show so I tuned in to an episode the other night and got the general idea (and rather confused since I believe its currently showing series 2 here but anywho.), here is what I propose (if Rai agrees ... and if he doesn't we do what all good journalists do, and take the no as a yes ... just kidding )..... We set up an email account, have a password we can all remember, send out silly Gossip – no actual site members unless they agree. Here's how it would work, we announce the arrival of H.E Gossip Girlz and have a sign up list for members who wish to get a good giggle each day from our emails, we also ask that they state if they mind their names being used as part of “Just spotted, Stephy of Ravenclaw cutting the toes out of Headmaster Rai's socks.” daily emails will be things like, um, dang what they called? Urgh its not coming to me, okay, ever had a funny email from a friend, and its like silly things that make you laugh, like a picture of a bag of peanuts containing the warning “MAY CONTAIN NUTS” on the bag or oh has anyone seen the picture of a cliff and a broken road barrier and then a second picture of a car crashed/parked on a ledge below? That kind of thing. Anyways, we each take turns to send out emails of this kind everyday and have a round up in each edition of the best, members can send things to us as well which we can then use if suitable.

COMPETITIONS: Lets run a competition or two in each edition, offering a reward of housepoints/award points. I plan on running one for the new edition anyway but you know lets see if many people take part and if they do we can make a regular thing of it. Offering 50 points for the first completed and correct answers. Check my Office for the competition.

ADVERTISING: The old editions of the Pensieve used to contain advertising for silly things, so why not advertise certain things around the site, like events, maybe even peoples own websites if they ask (and if Rai, Sharon and Amy agree.). This would be a job mainly for our Graphics Slaves so their agreement is a must.

PAPERBOYS/GIRLS: Whilst we currently have Paper-boys and girls, I intend to do away with the restriction on them being a paper-boy/girl and writing for the Pensieve. They can now, if they wish, also join the writing staff however they will lose the points awarded to paper-boys/girls. Also, us lot will now be required to hold a siggy advertising the paper as well.

EDITORS: I want to have Editors for each section, so we'd have a Feature's Editor and Sports Editor etc, however this probably won't take effect until we have more staff. Editors will be responsible for their own section, ensuring everyone in their section submits their articles before Deadline and doing the general spelling and grammar checks. That then leaves myself and Stephy to make sure everything else is running smoothly, pull the edition together and launch it, as well as our general tasks of keeping everyone on track for Deadline and dealing with recruitment.

BABBLES: Whilst I currently open the Pensieve with my Editors Babble, I think Stephy should close it.

STAFF BIOS: When we revived the Pensieve last year we each did a short bio about ourselves and a picture. I propose we do this again since we have new members of staff, don't worry if you don't want to include an actual photo of yourselves you can make a doll or something.

CONTENTS INDEX: This would be done by myself and Stephy, we'd literally be posting a list of everything featured and what “page” it is appearing on so members can find their favourite bits straight away.

I think that's everything. So, that is my proposal. Ideally I'd want to launch it for the new edition, since it will be our Tenth. So, yay or nay?

If yay, say what you want to work on, like for me, I'd do:

babble, Ettie Skeeter, F1 sport, I'll sign up to be a red carpet reporter as well, um, music reviews – album review is mine and always will be *sticks tongue out childishly* and of course Gossip Girlz, Staff Bio and Contents Index. And oh what the heck I'll throw in a book review as well.

The more the merrier for the sections, so everyone can do something with the exception to Album review, RPG review, Babbles, Graphics and sport (for sport you name the sport you want to cover and it's yours, first come first served and all that jazz.) Also with Opinions, can we have one author but everyone take part as usual adding their two cents.

There will also be longer between each edition as well since there will be more stuff going into edition. Those who get 3 strikes and become Free Lance reporters will be told of a Deadline date and given the option to write something or not.

I'm thinking of a Mid April, Deadline this time, possibly end of April, and then running an edition every 3 months or so. We'll have a set date of release as well, so it could be on the last day of every month or the first of every month, something like that with a 3 month gap, so we had an end of April release, the next edition would go out end of July.

Exactly. I'm starting a new recruitment drive today as well, so we really need people to step up the plate in here or its le door.

I like the plans . Aren't Chatter and Editorials really similar, though? Though I guess a special message to someone wouldn't really qualify as an editorial... I'm not really sure about the gossip plans; it all sounds really confusing and it'd be a lot to keep track of. Maybe we could do a caption contest for each edition, sending out PMs to everyone with a picture and if they're interested, they can send in funny captions; whoever's in charge of that could pick the best, say, 10 or something. <-- I just noticed that this would probably go under 'competitions' xD.

Gemma, i've asked June to be Editor of Reviews because reviews are her fortay and she always delievers. You can be Sports Editor if you want or Celebsville.

Don't know if i'm still going to run Gossip Girlz, i think it may be too much to take on at the moment. However if i did run it, it would be funny gossip as well as silly funny pictures it all depends on the person sending out the email and what they chose.

Editorials are just taking something from a potter book and analysing it, turning it into an article, i highly recommend you read the ones on mugglnet to gain a better understanding on them.

I suppose I'm a freelancer? *grins* Personal reasons indeed. But now I've told MJ that I need an hour every day to write and have meme time, and that's mostly working out...

I'd do a book review. Also the opinion, and perhaps that funny article I mentioned somewhere around here can be in Features. And possibly I'll do an editorial. xD

Right ......... Staff Bio here's what i wrote for mine when we first re-launched the pensieve:

Editorials: Gemma i would love to read the analysis of the reasons due to which the highest percentage of hairpins just disappears one day :D Yes editorials can be about anything, not just HP, it could be Twilight or a TV show or whatever, like say Supernatural, "Why Dean was always destined for Holy things" kinds thing.

Music: I think ....... You reviewing German bands is great With the Album review i focus on international singers/bands because then i'm not isolating everyone because they haven't heard of such and such. So how about, i do the Album review, you review a German Band and that'll give me an excuse to review to a British band ...... Any American wan to review an American Band (or signers) that are unknown around le Worlde?

Lol well, normally i just take an event or something thats happened and use that. The Babble i've written for the next edition ... well i'm going to refer to it as my high horse, because i was much indeed on one when i wrote it lol.

Writing a babble is easy as long as you don't worry about. Invent something, be creative, like, um, write something about a closed door party that Pensieve staff held during the night using the cover that hey claimed to be working, at 5am the muggle police arrived and carted off who ever, Elfie is currently in talks with the muggles to free whoever.

Just stop thinking, something will come to you, a babble can really be anything you want it to be. Why not keep a diary thing for a week and use that? Like an HE Diary.

Aww, don't worry today tried to kill me, literally. What happens normally is i'm up and out of bed before my boyfriend, but this morning he was up before me, and it just went down hill, i walked into the toilet and he's pee'd on the seat (he then called me a liar when i told him i had to wipe the seat so i'm not talking to him right now) then i go into the sitting room and fall over the cat then i fall over her kittens, then i see they haven't been fed so i go get meat come back, almost fall backwards into the GLASS coffee table, THEN i fall over John's shoe ... a shoe he has not worn for 18 months and doesn't why its in the middle of the floor.

So, don't change your routine, the day tries to kill you.

Even though the fate of the Hogwarts Quill hasn't yet been decided, I wrote an article as if the the money had been raised, as I have no doubt that it will be. I was so moved by the outpouring of support that I couldn't help myself!

And I could review the U2 album, I'm pretty sure that's a world wide release? XD

Kate, the quill article will be a great addition, but i've already said i'm reviewing the Kelly Clarkson album and for now i'm sticking with just one. When we launch the shake up we can have more albums.

Well, good luck with the babble, you know if you need imsperation, just write about our evil plotting with Wompa. I'm sure you'll have some fun with that lol.

I hate it when no-one replies to questions for interviews, just make the answers up haha. Nah, find someone else, i'm going to look into the new recruits posts and see who i can use. Most of them just want to be Editors and not do the work, but um, Editors still have to submit as well.

Remember those who haven't contributed to two editions in a row MUST contribute for Edition Ten, there's a few of you so ... you have been warned.
