Wow! My very own office. I've never had one of these before. Let's see how long it stays all neat and tidy. Hopefully I'll have stuff up soon. At stinky moment, I'm a bit lost. It's like being a newbie all over again.

Got hit with an idea for after-award interview. Didn't want to lose it.

Pamela: And here comes Raistlin the Wizard, Hogwarts Experience's very own headmaster. He was known for a short while as Headmaster Fluffybear. Personally, I thought the name suited him quite well. If I weren't afraid of becoming one of his costumes, I would consider calling him that myself.
Hello Headmaster. Tell me, what did you think of this evening's awards? Were you satisfied with the results?

Yes. That's all I have so far. I'm humor-impaired, so it will be slow coming, but I will do my very best.

I like what you have so far, honestly its good. And you know, it'll be good to see a part of the article that isn't overflowing with humour as well so don't explode any brain cells if you struggle for humour!

That's a good idea. A teddybear costume would totally be appropriate. Thanks Etta. I plan to make Rai nice and snarky...and a bit grumpy too.

Lol yeah he would be because he's going to win the *has to look for the award* My favorite Teddy Bear award although he doesn't know he's getting it as its a surprise award only for him. Cos he's not nominated for ANY awards hehe. So he'll probably be as mad as a ox of frogs.

Alrighty then. Time to get to work. Here goes.

Good evening everyone! This is Pamela, new reporter for the Hogwarts Experience Pensieve. I am coming to you live from outside the show. What? Did you think they would let the new reporter cover the good stuff? Anyway, it looks like the show is just about finishing up now. The paparazzi are buzzing around like vultures. What was that? I'm no paparazzi, thank you very much. I am a legitimate journalist. Ah, here come the honored guests now! Let's see if I can get a word with any of them.

Mick! Tell me, how are you doing after the loss of multiple awards?

Mick: Well, it's all about honoring people who deserve it. Apparently I'm just a little less deserving than others.

Pamela: I see you have baby Aimee there. Hiya sweetie. Ouch! She bit me.

Mick: Well, she is teething you know.

Pamela: Yes. Anyway, speaking of the little cutie, is it true that you actually used her as a shield to keep the photographers from catching your image?

Mick: No, no. Of course not. I was making sure they captured her lovely new outfit. Well, I best be moving along.

Personally, this reporter is suspicious of Mick's motives. I must admit, though, the purple sequined romper is quite darling...though I'm not sure how well sequins and babies go together. The pink glitter wings and matching shoes are quite a perfect accent, too.

Oh, look it's Matthew a.k.a. Pickles
of Hufflepuff. He looks, er, interesting in his tuxedo of would you call that pistachio? Yes. I think that would be accurate. Oh, and it appears he has paired it will a yellow and black polka dotted bow tie. Honey, house pride is one thing, but you've got to think fashion. You don't want to embarrass your house.

Matthew, darling, a word? What are your feelings on Stephy besting you as H.E.'s Peacemaker? As one of the few males around, it must be rough to miss out on recognition.

Matthew: Not at all, Pamela. Stephy is truly a kind soul. I cannot begrudge her this opportunity.

Pamela: Naturally. But, didn't I hear something about her having to come to your rescue and swaddle you?

Matthew: All part of the planned speech. We'd promised to help one another demonstrate peaceful behavior. By the way, you look mashing. How's the baby?

He's eyeing my outfit: deep scarlet capri leggings with a glittery gold top that perfectly accents my big fat...er, I mean adorably baby belly. There's no doubt he's seeing how truly fashion foward house pride is pulled off.

Pamela: Baby's well. Beating the snot out of me as a matter of fact. Oof. Well, thanks for talking with me Matthew, sweetie. Ta.

I want it to go on the record...I would never wear something that horrid. The top maybe.

Thanks Etta. It's fun. I hope I didn't go too far with anything. I thought about making Rai's teddy bear costume from a real bear, but I didn't want to go overboard.

Is that Miss Ame I see over there? She looks absolutely stunning in the form fitting black dress. It's simple, but no less elegant for that fact. Falling to the knees in the front, it trails back to the floor in the back. Very tasteful, very classy. Now if only she could do something about the blood stains on her fabulous green and silver stilettos.

Miss Ame! Over here if you please. Ame, you were nominated for a couple awards, including Old Wise One. Rumor has it you made your disapproval of Sharon's reception of the award quite clear. Can you tell me something about that?

Ame: Oh, you must be talking about the so-called eye roll. I don't know what people are getting at about that. I'd taken some cough syrup before coming and was quite sleepy. She gives a little cough that seems affected.

Pamela: There's talk of the Slytherins orchestrating a call for a re-count. Could this be true? She sighs before answering.

Ame: The members of my house are so passionate, so kind. They do have a tendency to over-react, though. I'm so sorry to cut this little chat short, but I really must be heading off.

And here comes Raistlin the Wizard, Hogwarts Experience's very own headmaster. He was known for a short while as Headmaster Fluffybear. Personally, I thought the name suited him quite well. If I weren't afraid of becoming one of his costumes, I would consider calling him that myself. It looks like he's already got another costume, though: a cute little teddy bear outfit. Somehow it's a bit unnerving. Perhaps that's because there's a good chance it may be made of Gryffindors.

Hello Headmaster. Tell me, what did you think of this evening's awards? Were you satisfied with the results? The snarl is quite evident in his voice as he answers.

Rai: Well, of course it's no shock that Sharon won two awards. She may seem nice, but the students really don't realize what went on behind closed doors. It's really a good thing I took over. Stephy got the peacemaker award but really, is that much of an award? I mean, it's all about who's the biggest pushover. As for Etta's Evil Overlord award? Well, I suppose it's okay to indulge her in those delusions.

Pamela: Delusions? Don't you think that's a bit harsh? I've seen my beloved editor-in-chief in action on the quidditch field. I, for one, think she's very evil.

Rai: Oh, well, I suppose you would.

I ponder what on Earth he could mean by that. I finally decided that he must be admitting in his own way that I must be right. Can you tell me about this new costume?

Rai: Well, I thought I would go with something a little friendlier. I don't want too many people going on about my cruelty to students. I mean, they're just Gryffindors.

Pamela: And who is it?

Rai: Oh. I don't know the name. I took it from some kid in the audience, used Engorgio, and had the lovely Kaylee transform it into something wearable. What do you think?

Pamela: It's...well, it's adorable. It makes me want to hug you.
As I attempt to carry out my threat, I mean act of friendship, Rai hits me with a stunning spell and takes off. I suppose I got lucky in dodging the wrath of the true Headmaster Fluffybear.

One last bit. Etta, should I ask Im_Hermione if it's okay that to use her?

Who is that running past there? Is that Erika of Gryffindor? My goodness, it is. Erika! Are you okay? Can you tell me about the pandamonium.

Erika: I knew I should have left when Rai was using my housemates as costume material. I was afraid to be rude, though. Then the mob was formed; I didn't think I would get out alive.

Pamela: I'm glad you aren't hur--oh my goodness! Your foot is bleeding!

Erika: What? Oh. I lost a toe. I think it was somehow removed by Ame's shoe.

She takes off running. I'm beginning to think that it's a good idea to clear out of here myself. I don't really want to lose a limb or anything. This has been Pamela reporting, for what may be the last time. I was not aware that I had signed on as a front-line correspondent. Good day to you all.

Okay. Here it is proofread and redone. Now I'll leave it to the powers that be.

Do I look like I have a flashing camera in my hands?

Oh, look it's Matthew, a.k.a. Pickles of Hufflepuff. He looks, er, interesting in his tuxedo of…would you call that pistachio?

By the way, you look smashing. How's the baby?

He's eyeing my outfit: deep scarlet Capri leggings with a glittery gold top that perfectly accents my big fat...er, I mean adorable baby belly. There's no doubt he's seeing how truly fashion forward house pride is pulled off.

Pamela: Baby's well. Beating the snot out of me as a matter of fact. Oof. Well, thanks for talking with me Matthew, sweetie. Ta.

Miss Ame! Over here, if you please.

Rai: Well, I thought I would go with something a little…friendlier. I don't want too many people going on about my cruelty to students. I mean, even if they're just Gryffindors.

Who is that running past there? Is that Erika of Gryffindor? My goodness, it is. Erika! Are you okay? Can you tell me about the pandemonium?

Erika: I knew I should have left when Rai was using my housemates as costume material. I was afraid to be rude, though. Then the mob was formed; I didn't think I would get out alive.

Pamela: I'm glad you aren't hur--oh my goodness! Your foot is bleeding!

Erika: What? Oh. I lost a toe. I think it was somehow removed by Ame's shoe.

She takes off running, or hobbling rather. I'm beginning to think that it's a good idea to clear out of here myself. I don't really want to lose a limb or anything. This has been Pamela reporting, for what may be the last time. I was not aware that I had signed on as a front-line correspondent. Good day to you all.

In the Hogwarts Community I posted a request for people to interview. I will be working on a piece about depression, and I will use some of that information for it. I will not, however, be using any names...well, except my own, of course. If anyone involved in the Pensieve has dealt with a diagnosis of depression in any form and is interested in helping me out with this, PM me. Thanks guys. Love ya! *huggles*

I'm starting work on research for an editorial. I wanted to do one just in case none come in. Hopefully I can find stuff to make the article work.

Yes! I have an idea for a good editorial. It's a bit of a pissy one, to be truthful. I'll keep it professional, though. Thank you so much oh favorite manager of mine for helping me come up with the idea (you veritable tyrant, you).

I sent these questions to a friend I met through blogspot. Her name is Daisy. She does part time modeling and is really cute and sweet. The blog is from her point of view. Anyway, I had thought about doing an editorial on pets with jobs. I thought she would be able to help me get together some information. Some of it's mostly useless, but most of it's very helpful. I thought you guys might find some of the answers amusing, though. And if it's all here, I can't lose it.

What sorts of pets can have jobs? I think any pet can have a job, as long as the pet is willing and able.

What are some jobs I may not have heard of? Well, my main job is as a model. But I have many other jobs, such as: lizard hunter, big sister to Harley, and spokescat. Once, I was training to become a doctor using my Milton-Bradley home study course called Operation. I learned how to do some operations, but I am not sure if I will ever become a doctor. Because removing some of the parts, like the breadbasket, takes advanced training. Oh, and Harley is a secret agent. I’m not sure I was supposed to tell you that, though. It might be secret.

What qualities should a pet have for employment? I think the pet would need to have a very calm and relaxed temperament, because working is real hard. For example, my good friend Figaro has a real important job. He is a therapy cat and makes visits to nursing homes and libraries and everything! I am too nervous to do that sort of work, because I would probably run and hide. Running and hiding would make me not be a successful therapy cat. Also, I think the pet should enjoy the job. I LOVE modeling, because I get many treats, and lots of good attention from my Mommie. If the pet does not enjoy the job, then they will not be good at it.

How does a person get involved with working alongside pets? I think the most important thing is to find a pet that will enjoy working. There are many pets in shelters who would love to have a chance to do an important job! Even if the job is simply to make your life happier by being a good companion.

What do you think of the opinion that pets shouldn't have jobs? Well, I do not think pets should have jobs if they do not want to work. Or, if they are at retirement age.

Is there anything else you can tell me that I may not know?
Almost any pet who has the will can do something good. You should check out my friend Chase. Even though she looks a little bit different than other cats, she has a beautiful heart and spirit and she is a therapy cat, like Figaro. She is very inspiring!

This is the little intro blurb from Chase's blog. There is a picture of her on there, but I will warn anyone who wishes to check it out, it is quite a bit of a shock. She pretty much has no face, hence the blog sites name.

I was in an accident when I was 4 wks (2005), I became disfigured. I have a Furry Will to survive & I am completely healed. I require medication during the day to keep my eyes moist. I will always look different but I am in NO PAIN! I have seen 10 vets and they can attest to that! I’m a happy kitty and hope to help other humans feel just as great about themselves and realize that not everyone looks perfect and that is OK. – Chase, therapy cat http://www.chasenoface.blogspot.com/

Well fudge. One of the editorials I received was actually quite good. However, bits of it are copied word for word from Wikipedia. I started to wonder when certain sections had no typos or spelling errors.

What I think I'll do is send her a PM letting her know that I really do need her to at least paraphrase and summarize. We can't have plagerism going on. I hope I can find a tactful way to do it, though.

*edit* Well, I let her know. I don't think there's really any tactful way to say, "hey. I caught you ripping someone else's work off. Don't do that." I did it in the closest to tactful way I could think of, though.

Urgh Plagiarism, is the pits. How can people do that? Do they not realise we check? I'm glad it was you who had to deal with it, i know i would get in to big trouble with Rai if i had to deal with it.

When the Quill first opened we had a member submit SOMEONE ELSES STORY! i never expected it of our members but it happened and i was so shocked i was glad Amy realised straight away.

Honestly, I'd not have noticed it if the rest of the grammar hadn't been so atrocious. I started suspecting something when she spelled the word "surrealist" correctly. It is a good piece, though, poor grammar notwithstanding. Hopefully she'll be willing to undo the plagiarism. This is what I said:

Quote :
Also, I wanted to let you know (and I hope this comes out tactfully) that I will need you to at least put the Wikipedia phrases in your own words. I noticed that there were a couple little sections that were almost word-for-word what was in the article about Neil Cicierega on Wikipedia. I know you took bits out, but it needs to be re-worded completely in order to avoid plagerism.

That's the most diplomatic way I could think of approaching it. Honestly plagiarism ****** me off more than damned near anything. When I first joined the site, I caught another member in the act. She'd used an example poem from a website as her own poem. I recognized it because it was the site I'd used do my research for the assignment. I didn't say anything, though. Sometimes I wish I had. I think she's long gone by now, though.

*whispers* i had to edit your post due to um, swear word xD just in case Sharon or Amy or Rai saw it.

I think if i had to deal with her, i wouldn't have been so nice. I'd have said:

Do you know that Plagiarism is a criminal offence? That you can be sued? Well if you didn't, you do now, when i asked for an Editorial i wanted something you had written, not something you stole. I know this because your spelling and grammer is horrendous and yet you were able to be perfectly correct on both grounds in that paragraph, in that stolen paragraph.

I'd love to write an Editorial, especially on Ayrton Senna a F1 driver who died 15 years ago this May, he is like a legend! He's a god in Brazil as well. But i don't know the first thing about writing Editorials.

Sorry. sad Honestly, I generally do a better job of watching my language. I just forgot myself today. Heck, I seldom even use those sorts of words in my day-to-day speech.

I figured it would be wise to watch what I said since A. she may not have known that plagiarism isn't simply copying an entire work verbatim and B. I haven't gotten many editorials, and she may become a regular contributor. The latter reason is especially important to me as she's in Gryffindor so not only does she help me out with my job on the Pensieve, but she also helps my house (which is failing miserably again this term) retain some form of dignity. I didn't want her to step back and never submit an editorial again out of anger or embarrassment.

Pamela's Office--Leave your editorials on my desk. 436937 honestly, its okay, i swear ALL the time! And half the time i didn't realise they were swear words, so now i have to be extra extra extra careful with what i say.

I can see your point Pamela's Office--Leave your editorials on my desk. 436937 you see, thats why i have you for Editorials! I'd freak everyone out and no-one would submit anything at all!

I'm really tempted to send you my thing on Ayrton Senna i keep telling myself it would be okay, and then i tell myself itsa not an Editorial, how can it be when i've never written one? But then i think, stop being silly, but then i'm like it's a statement of his life, a summary of what he achieved and what kind of man he was, how can that be an Editorial. Then i tell myself to shut up and go say dumb things on Twitter, like setting a F1 driver's underpants on fire tomorrow to see how fast he finishes the race grin

Basically if it's a shortish informative and interesting essay that has opinion or personal experience as a distinct under(or over)tone, it's an editorial. Send it. I want it. Now.

Yay! :D I'm so glad to be able to return the favor. You don't know how many times you've done it for me. Abba dance sessions are acceptable distractions. They give you a workout and it's Abba. My dad loves them which, if you knew my dad, you would find quite odd. He's always been an odd one, though.

Editorial #1 from Gryffindor_Gal_4HP

Neil Cicieriga...pure GENIUS!

Yes, I know what you’re thinking. This has to be the most unusual editorial we've ever had, but here it is anyway.

The Potter Puppet Pals first began life way back in the year 2003, when Emmy Cicierega, a young lady from Plymouth, Massachusetts in the USA, began to draw the Harry Potter characters as puppets. She later showed the idea to her brother, Neil, who began to put it together as a FLASH animation.

The first of these was aptly named "Bothering Snape" which featured Harry and Ron...well...bothering Snape.

Next, was seen "Trouble at Hogwarts" which was about the Dark Lord Voldemort (who sounds a lot like he loves himself, in my opinion) starts attacking students at Hogwarts...and in the end, gets shot by muggle guns. Both these videos were hilariously funny. Neil put them on a site he had created for such an occasion, known, of course, as potterpuppetpals.com, without Emmy's knowledge. They immediately began scoring HUGE hits with the online audience, and got passed along the country via email and mobile phone. The animated series of Potter Puppet Pals was run from September 27, 2003 - December 15, 2003, and included the two episodes, which can still be found online today.

Neil, however, had been quite a big internet celebrity long before he did this happened (I’m betting you either wanted to say before he did this or before this happened). For years, he had been putting videos on Youtube. His first big success was being the creator of Animutation, a genre of surrealist Flash animation. Most of his early Animutations used music from the original Japanese version of Pokemon.

Animutations were found online increasingly in the early part of 2001 with Cicierega's "Hyakugojyuuichi" being the first, and the genre soon developed a cult following. Over the following years, a community of Flash animators began manufacturing their own animations inspired by Cicierega's early and late works.

There were also a lot of videos in which Neil, his sister, his brother and his friends have all kinds of fun...including an April Fool’s Day prank involving a hammer, and many more hilarious things. I personally love the video where Neil mimes along with the Darkness song "I Believe in a Thing Called Love".

Back to the subject of Potter Puppet Pals, years after the Flash animations were "leaked" onto the internet, the brain-child of Neil and Emmy Cicierega was in the real-time works. Neil and his family had been going to a material shop for a long time. When asked numerous times what they were doing, they simply answered, "we're going to make some puppets." Neil's mother was responsible for the manufacturing of the puppets, and his father responsible for the making of the puppet show stage.

Finally, on 18th September 2006, a video appeared on Youtube entitle "PPP Teaser." This intrigued a vast audience, and on 26th September 2006, the first Potter Puppet Pals real-life puppets episode hit our computer screens. It was named "Potions Class", and it featured puppet versions of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Severus Snape and Albus Dumbledore. Neil himself is responsible for all the voices, whereas the puppets are controlled by him, his sister Emmy, and a friend, Alora Lanzillotta, control the puppets. As of today, "Potions Class" has received 8,426,542 views.

The next to be released was "Wizard Angst", which came out in late November 2006. This featured a new puppet, as well as all the other puppets from the previous episode. The new puppet was indeed "The Dark Lord Voldemort." In this episode...Harry Potter feels cranky and pubescent...and does not know why. This video, as of this day, has received 14,645,240 views, so we can see they had become more popular by that stage. The highlight of the video is possibly when Harry Potter utters that he still has nightmares about Dobby eating his skin clean off every night...

But nothing to how popular the next video in the series became (This is technically not a complete sentence. “But that is nothing compare to” would make it a complete sentence). In March of the next year, "The Mysterious Ticking Noise” was released, and to this day has received 60,675,666 views. In this video, all the puppets are present. There is a strange ticking noise, to which all the puppets sing and dance, making a catchy little melody. In this video a new feature is revealed in the Dumbledore puppet, in that all his clothes can be removed, to reveal nakedness and guaranteed laughter. This was, in 2007, nominated for a Youtube award for Best Comedy...and it WON! Neil, along with his Puppets, was featured on Fox news receiving his award. After he and his Youtube award returned home, he posted a video of himself, wearing a fake moustache, 'caressing' his trophy for ten whole minutes.

"Your mother is a... ing... lorum ipsum... admidum venium... trragoola... hippoptomos... republican... in Daniel Radcliffe... with a bucket of...in a castle far away where no one can hear you...soup...with a bucket of...Mickey Mouse... and a stick of dynamite... magical... alakazam!"

This video, as of today, has had 11,929,242.

The next video in the series was named "School is for Losers", in which Harry Potter sings about himself and his feeling for school. The Snape puppet then comes in, and complains about Harry not being in Potions Class for three weeks...but Harry is not listening...and picks up the ability to knock out Snape with one punch and play the saxophone within seconds of each other. The fist was provided by Ben Cicierega, Neil's brother. 4,567,701 views are present for this as of this very day.

The next two videos in the series were released within a day of each other, due to the fact the first was a joke. It was called "Awakening of the Incorruptible", but later re-named "HOLY CRAP, THIS VIDEO HAS OVER 2 MILLION VIEWS, WFT"...and rightly so, as the video itself last only 12 seconds, and is not overly worth watching, which was the joke. One day later (May 17th) "The Vortex" was released. It features Ron getting stuck in an alternate dimension, and ending up turning into something much cooler than Harry is. Harry cannot stand this, and casts a spell to bring our young Ron back to normal. In the end they all (Harry, Ron, Hermione and Dumbledore) have a "Dance Party in London," and again, Harry sings about himself. This video has had 5,253,268 views.

The latest episode of PPP was released on 13th April 2009. The story this time is that Ron has wizard lice (so named "Ron's Disease"), and they need to get rid of them. There is a new puppet in this episode, and it is bigger than the rest, giving it the body form we know as Rubius Hagrid. Hagrid's voice is especially hilarious, and he has his own song about how to cure wizard lice. This is my personal favourite PPP. Since it is only just out, it has only gotten 126,783 views (10,000 are probably my own). Harry works out that he can use Hagrid’s strength to get rid of all his problems, and not just wizard lice.

Neil has also done a number of live, feature-length Potter Puppet Pals puppet shows at Harry Potter based events, for which Neil has composed several notable songs, including Voldemort’s "Avada Kedavra" song and Dumbledore's "Love Spell" song.

As well as Potter Puppet Pals, Neil has had great success in other video series, such as "New Kids on the Rock" and "No Place Like Home", and has a band Lemon Demon, whose music is popular all over Youtube. Just look for "Ultimate Showdown Of Ultimate Destiny" or "Word Disassociation" or indeed "Ben Bernanke" to find some of Neil's music, and you'll see why Lemon Demon has quickly become one of my favourite bands. And his creative videos...his projects...his masterpieces...are some of the most viewed videos on Youtube today. Videos like "Youtube Heaven" hit you deep, and you see truly what an artist this boy is. He now gets paid to make videos like this to advertise for HollywoodeastTV and Plymouth Rock Studios...paid MONEY! He also held a competition in early 2008, called "Send Neil Death Threats" where Youtubers had to send him death threats (the best one would receive an honourary restraining order...from Neil). He has gained unbelievable, unquestionable, unhingeable fame just doing what he wants to do...I say he is a future movie maker of the modern age. So...

I have just a few quick suggestions to give you. One important thing in writing is to try to stay in the same tense. When talking about literature, movies, etc., it’s typically best to remain in the present tense as these works still exist. They are part of the present, even if they were written in the 16th century. Also, “a lot” is two words. In formal writing, many people in the literary and scholastic world will tell you to avoid it at all costs. I usually substitute that phrase with something like “quite a few” or “an exceptional amount of”. Most of the errors were minor (and common) spelling or grammatical errors. Those are easily corrected by utilizing the assistance of a skilled proofreader (something I recommend for all writers anyway).

The next episode came as an early Christmas present to all Potter Puppet fans worldwide. It was entitled "Wizard Swears" where the gang learn to swear, using words such as "Son-of-a-Banshee" and "Swish and Flicker" as well as a lot of others...however, poor Ron doesn't quite get it, and utters his own form of swears...such as "Dobby's Sock." Neville Longbottom makes an appearance in this in the form of...not a puppet...but a squash. The gang tries to make him swear, but they find it hard, as his Gran has "forbidden him from using such raunchy language. Dumbledore utters the Elder Swear, an olden times wizard swear...which goes something like this (The dots represent censor beeps in the video):

"Your mother is a... ing... lorum ipsum... admidum venium... trragoola... hippoptomos... republican... in Daniel Radcliffe... with a bucket of...in a castle far away where no one can hear you...soup...with a bucket of...Mickey Mouse... and a stick of dynamite... magical... alakazam!"

Editorial #2 from Fairieofdoom

At One's Own Risk

Sometimes, there is more to a book than just the meaning and pictures behind the words. When one peers into a book, and first perceives its text, a definite impact is made on the reader. You are glancing upon its bare structure, and unconsciously taking in more than just that.

It is here that font is crucial. It adds more than just ease of reading; it creates an impression as much as the words themselves do.

A simple, crude font tells a story as easily as the author does. An intricate, illustrated font gives you as much background as if the author had told you themselves.

It may not seem an overwhelming part of the book itself, but it is present nonetheless, and I have to say, I’ve personally disliked books simply based on font. Do not disregard the simplistic nature of font type – it may determine more than you know.

It’s my personal experience that font is used as a manipulative tool. The more expensive books, for example, use more intricate and pleasing aesthetic fonts, whereas the cheaper, less fancy books, opt for the very rudimentary text fonts.

Now while many people will argue that this is simply due to cost of manufacture, publishing company, the laws of supply and demand, and what have you – I argue that there is more to it than that.

It is a mass conspiracy to control the masses through popularising books which use brainwashing fonts.

In a less than idyllic world, people don’t want to read books for the fun of it anymore – people read because popular culture dictates that it is the fad of the moment and what everyone else is into. By mass-marketing and making “international bestsellers” they are inviting an audience to read their words – and leave a distinct mark, or impression, of the font.

It is crucial for the wary reader to be aware of potentially dangerous fonts. They lull you into a sense of excitement or comfort, and then betray you with mind-numbing dross. When you feel the first signs of a book gone astray – don’t be afraid to move on to something a little less belligerent.

Personally, scouring the shelves for a good book is the best part of the experience. Buying something for the sake of it is, in itself, the aim of the mind-controlling fonts. And of course, where is the fun in that?

With a little perseverance one may overcome the spell of the dangerous fonts. They may not like it, but their power wanes when other books overcome their influence. Time is the greatest weapon.

Of course, should there be a larger, more elaborate scheme than even I can comprehend, the danger may yet be impossible to circumvent. In such a case, bury oneself in a library and pray to the gods for mercy. And some coffee.

One hopes it won’t come to this, however – so in the meantime, go to the library anyway, and enjoy something you haven’t heard of, and which has a terrible font, just for a change of pace.

Ayrton Senna: The Man Who changed Formulae One.

Ayrton Senna, was and still is, the man who changed Formula One Motor Sport for all the wrong reasons. A good man, an idol to men, women and children all over the world, a man who cared for his family and the people of his home nation, Brazil, a man who had to lose his life in order to get his point across. F1 was unsafe, and someone would die. Unfortunately, it was his death at San Marino Grand Prix at Imola the 1st May 1994.

Born March 21st 1960 in São Paulo Brazil, Senna was one of three children born to a wealthy landowner. His love for motor sports started young with a keen interest in Karting, where many of today's F1 drivers begin their long careers.

Ayrton's love for his family, his nieces and nephew, and his love for his country led him to donate millions in the helping fight the widespread poverty in Brazil. Shortly before his death, he created a foundation for helping Brazilian children, which later became known as Instituto Ayrton Senna.

In the run up to the fateful weekend which took the life of an international hero, Ayrton became somewhat obsessed with his immortality. The Race weekend was doomed to end in tragedy, but not with just one lost life. With two.

On the Friday, during Free Practise, Ayrton's young protégé (then a F1 newcomer, now an F1 legend) Ruben's Barrichello was badly hurt in an accident which prevented him from taking part in the Grand Prix race weekend.

On the Saturday, during free practise, another accident turned fatal. Austrian Roland Ratzenberger. Roland's death effected Ayrton in such a way that he considered retiring from the sport which he loved.

On the morning of Sunday 1st May 1994, Ayrton re-create the Grand Prix Drivers Association, a group which to this day is still in place, pushing for the rights of the drivers and their safety. It was because of Roland's death that Ayrton did this; he was determined to make the sport safer for everyone.

There are many rumours and theories behind Ayrton's death; however what we do know is this, Williams, Ayrton's team at the time of his death, were charged with manslaughter for his death after it was revealed the steering wheel had snapped clean in half. This was the cause of the accident. The cause of his death was due to a massive blow above the right eyebrow. After being pulled from the car, race officials found that Ayrton was carrying the Austrian Flag, which he intended to raise at the end of the race he was on the verge of winning, and dedicating his 42nd race win to Roland Ratzenberger.

At first, it was believed the accident was not serious in terms of race crashes; however, it soon became clear that Ayrton was not moving. The race was stopped one minute and nine seconds after the crash.

6:40pm 1st May 1994, Ayrton Senna was pronounced dead.

Following the deaths of Ayrton and Roland, numerous safety improvements were made, although the sport has claimed lives in the past, there was no-one as high profiled as Ayrton.

Back in Brazil, Senna's death was declared a national tragedy by many of his fans, the Brazilian Government declared 3 days of national mourning. A state funeral was held; 3 million people lined the streets to say one final goodbye to their legend. Amongst the mourners were numerous race drivers. Three of whom, Alain Prost, Damon Hill and Emerson Fittipaldi were pall bearers. Ayrton was laid to rest in his home town of São Paulo.

At the following Race, in Monaco, the first two grid spots were left empty, in honour or Ayrton and Roland, their national flags were painted in the corners of the grid spots.

Fifteen years on from the tragic weekend at Imola and many things have changed. Formulae One has become safe, a crash in 2008 involving Heikki Kovalienon would surely have left the Fin dead fifteen years again, however he walked away from it fine.

It took a tragedy and the loss of two great men and drivers to make F1 safe, but standards are slipping; with the introduction of night races, has Formulae One really seen the end to race track deaths?

(Etta, were the corrections acceptable? I only corrected grammar and spelling, of course) If I may, Etta, the rewording you gave me is grammatically awkward. The way it is worded now it actually sounds like the race officials were pulled out of the car. I think people will understand, unless they take everything literally. Generally I would suggest something like, "After Ayrton was pulled from the car, race officials found..." and so on, keeping the rest of the sentence the same. Like I said, though, I'm sure readers will understand.

There's really not much to write about with the quidditch situation right now. There's not anything going on really. If there is something you can think of that I could add to it, please let me know. Currently, it's not even 500 words.

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for awhile now, you’ve probably noticed that Elfie and Amy retired as headmistress and deputy headmistress, respectively. Raistlin the Wizard, the notorious Slytherin took over the post of headmaster. Since his promotion, many changes have been made around Hogwarts Experience. Notable among these changes is his complete revamping of quidditch. This term, there are no longer to be matches between the individual houses. Instead, we will be seeing a World Cup format. Specific details of games are, as of now, unknown as games have not begun.

Currently, the quidditch program is in a state of team formation. Before the program officially began, members were told that they could form teams and submit them to the headmaster for approval. Members could sign up showing interest in playing as well as commentating and judging. After a sign-up by members and reviewing process by Raistlin, the forums opened up. We found that three teams had been formed.

Team one consisted of Stephy, violetriddle, Snape_Luffer, Im_Hermione, pickles, and Gemma_Cullen_Malfoy. Team Two was comprised of SilverLady, Elana, Jennifer Williams, Elfie Dumbledore, Running_Swift, and Amy. Lastly, team three is made up of ElladoraZeller, EmmalynnMalfoy, harry_potter_rules_27, Sashi, Alice Cullen, and Herbaceoustraitorous. Each team has had about a month to come up with team names, uniforms, positions, sponsor (with a logo to advertise them), mascot, and brooms.

Teams one and two released the information they were charged to collect, and are now known as the Patamigos (a combination of the Spanish words for duck and friends) and Oldies Kicking Ninja Attackers. Team three has yet to release their information; hopefully they will do so soon. The Patamigos are captained by Stephy of Ravenclaw house and Elana, also of Ravenclaw, is captaining Oldies Kicking Ninja Attackers.

That brings about another interesting thing about the new style quidditch has taken on. Thanks to this format, houses are being united in a way that is seldom seen. It's hard to say how scoring and housepoints will work. Not that anyone feels those things are all that important, of course. My guess is that judging will continue to hold the same basic structure and, of course, everything will be done in good old-fashioned RPG style. But, it's safe to say that major changes are underway in H.E. quidditch.

Once all information is posted and available for the headmaster’s perusal, it can be assumed that games will finally begin. So, come on! Pay a visit to the quidditch forum today. Check out the teams, and pick which one you think you will support to start with. Great fun and excitement is bound to ensue. Now, all we need are the fans!

Your Quidditch article was fine Pamela's Office--Leave your editorials on my desk. 436937 thanks for pulling one out of thin air at the last minute Pamela's Office--Leave your editorials on my desk. 436937

The Editorials ; number one has "Thanks Pam for the advice. The Wiki section is somewhat fixed and ready for action " is that supposed to be in there?

number 2 needs a title.

and number 3 looks fine except for "Ayrton was carrying the Austrian Flag which he intended to dedicate his 42nd race win to Roland Ratzenberger." which is at the end of the 7th Paragraph, its sort of just randomly sitting there, dunno what i was thinking .... um, okay, i'm thinking maybe a new paragraph under paragraph 7, for it and adding "After being pulled from the car, race officials found that Ayrton was carrying the Austrian Flag, which he intended to raise at the end of the race he was on the verge of winning, and dedicating his 42nd race win to Roland Ratzenberger."

... i think that was everything.

I don't even know how that first one happened. I think I need a new brain.

I'll PM FairieofDoom and ask her to come up with a title.

Lastly, I will take care of paragraph 7.
