Fallen

Samantha lay there in the dark forest listening to each sway of the branches above her head and every twig that snapped in the distance with a great intensity. She felt as though she'd been running for hours. Running away from the truth, her life, and everyone around her seemed like it was the only thing to do. She slowed her breathing so that nobody would notice her unless they were in direct path of the light of the illuminating moon reflecting off of her prefect badge. Her leg was pulsating in pain, but she simply ignored it as though it were everyday that she found herself running through the Forbidden Forest trying to protect herself. She slowly closed her eyes and listened again to all the sounds that surrounded her. Twigs were breaking in the distance at such an even pace that it had to be a person. She listened for a moment longer until she realized that the person, or thing making the noises was making a straight path to her.

*Sorry, it kind of sucks but it's the best I can do at the moment...*

Stephaine played with the dirt and leaves on the ground with her feet. She stood up and started briskly walking in any direction. The twigs cracking under her light feet.
I don't understand I had my wedding perfectly planned out and I was marrying the best man in the world and now the whole thing is postponed because my bride maids are having mental break downs. She thought smacking a tree as she walked by.
"Gosh!" She exclaimed as the tree fell to the ground she was so angered by the entire she couldn't even focus and fell in a mud puddle.
"Great." Stephaine said pulling off her boots leaving them there and going barefoot. She stomped through the forest pulling out her wand and illuminating the sky with a simple charm.
“So what do I do just pretend like everything is ok help them help myself I am so confused. She confessed to no one but the moon.

Samantha felt her body stiffen as she heard a voice. She tried to make out the words but her ears were full of nothing but the deafening sound of her own blood pounding through her veins. There was a crack of a tree falling to the ground. No. No. No. Another vampire out here? she asked herself. As the echoed murmurs drew closer, the words began to slice through the silence. "So what do I do just pretend like everything is okay? Help them, help myself? I am so confused." the voice rung in Samantha's ears. Whoever the voice belonged to was drawing nearer every second. Samantha lay there, frozen, hoping that whoever it was wouldn't notice her.

Stephaine had her wand in hand flicking it to light up the surrounding area. She kept trudging forward until she could see a figure then she froze.
"Who are you?" asked loudly
"Why are you out here...alone?" she asked taking one step closer but she could not identify the girl. She barred her fangs.
"You’re not a vampire?" she stated in a questioning tone though she knew the answer quite perfectly.
"Who are you?!" she yelled impatiently wanting to know who could be in the woods and why they were out here if they weren't a vampire.
She might be a werewolf but I doubt it Stephaine thought not sure why people would come out to the forest she hardly liked to be out here.

Samantha cringed as the girl moved her light on to her. Greaaat. she thought to herself sarcastically. She slowly pulled herself up, covering her leg so that she wouldn't show any weaknesses. "I'm Samantha Slay, Slytherin Prefect." she said smoothly, her words like ice cutting through the air. "Who are you?" she asked without hesitation. Samantha felt her face tighten into a smirk. "Yes I am out here alone actually. I like going on midnight walks. It's good to take a little while in the fresh air." she said calmly. She looked over at the girl, studying her for a moment. Then she slowly bit her lip and spoke, "As for the vampire question...That's really none of your business now is it?" she said harshly.

"It wasn’t a question." Stephaine hissed.
"I'm Stephaine Schell I’m a slitherin student... sometimes." She stated clearly.
"You shouldn't walked alone in the forest little girl." she said raising her eyebrows and hiding her fangs.
"What did you do to your leg?" she asked nodding her head over towards it kindly. She dimed her wand light and walked a little closer.
"Do you want to start to explain or am I going to have to make you." she said almost threatening it was hard for her not to be even when it's dark and mysterious it tends to happen more.
"Don't worry I won’t hurt you." she said telling the girl was trying to put up a front.
Or at least that’s how I feel at the moment she thought being honest with herself.

Dillian Lurked through the night. He had excellent hearing being the dog he is. Even when he is human. He heard two girls from a distant, very far away. But their conversation was close to him. A midnight sneak attack? Well why the bloody hell not? Thought Dillian letting out a evil yet innocent smile. He ran towards the forset on all fours, when arriving to the front of the dark tall moonlight light trees he sniffed the path of the girls and quickly shed his soft spotted coat. To be more sneaky and quiet he thought it was best if he walked on is human feet.

There were two girls, one seemed older then the other. The youngest smelt of fresh blood and worry. The older one reaked of cuiosity and superity. Dillian watched the two girls making atteptions to intimidate the other. He hid behind a well big around Oak tree. The bark was old and filled with potential slivers. His stomach had growled loudly and he had just hoped the girls didn't hear. How in the hell did I forget a midnight snack before my midnight stroll! He looked over the bark rusted tree to see if the girls had spotted him through the loud rubmle that came from his hunger. And in the proccess he snaped a large twig making even more sounds that could give the boy away. Well Dillian why don't you just yell SEE ME! Because with all these sounds your just begging to get spottet now arnt we dumby!

Samantha whipped her head around to find herself staring at an old oak tree. She had heard a low growl come from behind it. Someone else? This night couldn't get any better. she thought to herself as she raised her hand to silence Stephaine. She waited a moment longer and saw someone poke their head out from behind the massive trunk. Samantha instantly cringed as his scent overcame her. Werewolf. Apparently it could get better. she thought angrily as she rolled her eyes at the heavens. "Well come out from behind the tree." she demanded firmly. She looked away from him and down to her leg as the pain began to increase. She pulled her wand out and slightly tapped her leg, as she came to a stand. She eyed the boy curiously. "Well?" she said impatiently. "What do you want?" she finished in a harsh tone.

Dillian was spying on the girls but his loud sounds gave him away for sure. The older girl quickly pointed him out asking what he wanted.
"Hello beautiful! Well all I want is to meet some girls on this beautiful night. I mean the smell of the trees, the awakening of the stars, and let's not forget the warm moist night air." Dillian was always a joker. And quite a catch with girls. But he was very cocky! He was either well liked, or well anoyed with.

Fully stepping out from behind the trees he introduced himself. "I'm just messing with you guys! Losen up a little.come one what's up with you two? I could hear you from across with woods! Just wanted to say hello anyways! But when I came up...I meen really...whew! Talk about tention! I'm Dillian by the way. And who might you two be? Besides- well nevermind. Anyways! Your names?"

Dillian figured cracking a few jokes might lighten their moods. The eldest girl was tapping her wand on her leg, which showed Dillian she wanted to be a threat but she wouldn't really do anything. The other girl just stood there covering her leg.

"Well?" Dillian demandingly asked?

Samantha rolled her eyes as she recognized the boy who had revealed himself. She didn't know him personally but she'd heard many of her friends fighting over him, acting as though he was the hottest thing since Harry Potter himself. Now that he was standing before her, she had to admit that he was quite handsome...even for a werewolf. She smiled to herself as she realized what she was thinking. "I'm Samantha." she said through her teeth. She could see right through his charms, and didn't want to let her gaurd down. She slipped her wand up her sleeve and crossed her arms firmly across her chest. Her prefect badge gently glimmering under the moonlight. She studied the boy who'd introduced himself for a moment. She couldn't decided whether she was judging him because of what he was or how he looked.

"Well Samantha its a pleasure to meet you. I believe we have some uh, mutural friends! Yes." Samantha crossed her arms closing herself to the presence of Dillian. Dillian loved to read people! Samantha the fact the your closing your arms tells me you don't want my to be here. Is there something you would like to say to me?" He said chuckling. He looked at her staring deeply in her eyes. He took a deep breath in through his nose, examining the smells. Rain, bloode,fall leafs, soil, and...vampire? One of them had been a vampire!? Thought Dillian.

Dillian stepped closer to the girls. Breathing in holding the scents, then exhailing. "Its you?" He said stepping away from Samantha. Closer to the other girl. The other girl, just stood there quietly not saying a word. Her scent was hard to figuring out, along with her! She was just so still. Dull.

Samantha smiled as she saw the thoughts dwelling behind Dillian's eyes. When he looked at her with such intensity, she did nothing but stare back at him. "I've got nothing to say. Besides that it's nice to meet you finally. I've heard a lot about you." she said in as polite of a voice as was possible. He was definitely a straight forward kind of person, and Samantha knowing the rarety of that trait was finding herself admiring him. She shook the thoughts away as she heard him take in a shallow breath through his nose. She could tell that he was smelling the air. When he stepped away from her and asked a question, she honestly couldn't tell which girl he was talking to. "What do you mean?" she said as she let one of her arms drop to her side.

Dillian was almost in shock. The last vampire he knew killed his best friend. Nastly little girl that vampire.
"Samantha. Why are you out here! And what the bloody hell is she doing out here!?" Dillian quickly went from sweet and flirty to being almost scared and very rude.
He took another step back. His puzzled and anoyed face glared at the girls.
Samantha was being very polite, but the fact that she was- he couldn't even are to think the thought in his friends memories. The V word, just frightened him. The hairs on the back of Dillians human neck stood straight.
Dillian was being impolite, but the fact..knowing what Samantha was. Even though she was being nice. He couldn't help but to be discusted with her.

Samantha found herself rolling her eyes at him. "Cool it wolf boy. I'm just on a run. It helps to be away from the wandering thoughts." she said in a calm voice. "Besides I'm quite civil for what I am." she finished quietly, letting her voice fall to a whisper. She wasn't shocked that Dillian's manners had changed so drastically, but it wasn't as though she could help being what she was. "You really shouldn't be so quick to judge. Neither of us, I'm assuming, chose to live these lives. But it just happened." she added. She could feel herself beginning to get quite upset with the boy for being so very rude. She pushed her golden locks out of her eyes, to study the boy. So much for that admiration. He's being such a bloody git. she thought to herself in a heat of anger.

Dillian knew it was judgmental of him to jump to conclutions and automaticaly asume Samantha was some crazed murder. What else exactlly should I think?

"Don't be too fast on your feet Samantha. You may of heard about me, but your stories arnt to straight. I'm no warewold. I have complete control overmyself. So guess again. Besides what are you really out here for. Isn't it past your bedtime?" Dillians sarcastic tone was ment to acknowledge Samantha that he had "cool it" so she said.

Something Dillian had noticed how in the begging Samantha was well taken by Dillian. What a boy can't be frightened by a bloodsucker?It seemed like a very bitter sweet situation to Dillian.

"Not a werewolf?" Samantha practically laughed. "I heard you before you even got into the forest. A midnight sneak attack? Well why the bloody hell not? Besides that, I don't know many humans who run on all fours." she said in a mocking tone. She studied his face for a moment longer, trying to read his face without prowling into his mind and invading his privacy. "I've already told you why I'm out here. I needed to clear my head and get away from all of the noise inside, so I went on a run. Bedtime? I don't sleep, my dear." she finally stopped talking and looked at the ground for a moment. He had obviously taken a hint and gotten a little bit more composed. Samantha took in a deep breath. Fear. she thought in exhale. "Are you scared? Is that what it is? You have to attack people mentally to look brave? You just look like a git." she said as politely as possible. "I've never killed anything in my entire afterlife. Not even a fly." she continued angrily. "So take that and shove it up your assumption maki-" she cut herself off before she got too heated. "Sorry. I just don't like it when people are rude." she said quietly, looking back to the ground.

Dillian strugled to keep Samantha out of his mind. She pushed her self into his thoughts but got too far and settled down enought to restrict herself from more thoughts of his.

"Yes actually. I'm not a wolf. Animagus actually. I'm sure you've heard of my type!" Dillian scrunched his eyes staring at Samantha deeply. He focused her on her face but she was very blurry. Dumb dog eyes. He felt his pockets trying to find his glasses. Must of left them in my book bag!

"Oh that's right, your kind doesn't sleep. What house are you in anyways? By your attitude, I'm asuming Slytherin. But your curiosity tells my Ravenclaw or Gryffindor. So what is? Don't tell me, your in Hufflepuff!" Dillian himself was a Slytherin, so he was judgmental to all the houses.

"Oh shape up. You're lucky you're in my own house, or else I would probably be taking points for you being out so damn late." she snapped angrily. His attitude was getting on her nerve, and she wasn't known for her patience. She watched as his face began to scrunch up, and figured that he was having trouble seeing. She ignored it, as quickly as she had realized it. "I have a very short temper, so if you have something else to add to the list of insult, I suggest you get it over with." she said in a now calmer tone. She looked at him, waiting for his sharp words to knife into her esteem.
