Although we have a favourite TV thread, I felt compelled to open a separate one for Lost as it is such a complex programme.

Who watches it - and what on earth are your theories about what is happening.

We are into season 2 here in England, but I personally dont mind spoilers, but if you have seen further into season 2 and onwards please put **SPOILER** at the beginning of your posts as others may not want to know.

Please share with me your theories etc on this brilliant show!

I have read a lot of theories: they're in purgatory, it's a reality TV show, it's a government experiment, but I really don't know what to think.

Why was there a polar bear? The black mist? What was that dude doing down the hatch?

I also think I am going to stay away from this thread considering we've only just started series two...I already know who dies and who gets pregnant...I don't want to know any more! :lol!:

I have to watch it in my english class, but we're not even done with the first season yet lol.

heh well here in portugal season 2 is at.... um lemme think... 12th episode i think... i can never watch it because of school but i was able to see one of the episodes and it's all going TOO MUCH creepy...

i mean, i like that the jack + kate ship is finally... well GOING somewhere... but i mean... did Shanon REALLY have to die? poor Sayid...

well since i can't watch much i really don't have theories but I'm developing one with a help from a friend and when we're done i'll let you know...

I was hunting around and I saw this:

The tabloid that Bernard had in the episode was called the "Flash", which was also the comic book that Walt had in season one. It also mentions the lottery numbers. Do you think there is any clue within this or am I reaching into nothingness?

Well, in Finland the first season is still rolling... but i have the dvd box with aaaaaaall ofthem so i saw them before my friends had seen the fifth episode... lol i teased my friends by randomly 'slip' things that's gonna happen and they just started to yell and chase me for it... :D

Anyway, i don't really have any theories.

Well i have but i'm not so sure about them anymore, cuz my mind is so mixed up at the moment. I just wanna know what happens in season two!!!!! Anyone wanna tell me? PLEEEEEASE!!!!!!! (it's gonna take one million years before it comes out here...)

I have only seen a couple of episodes in the 2nd season and i missed quite a few in the first season so i am even more lost than they are lol

They got into the bunker Caroru (do you know about the bunker) and there is a person there with a computer

... that they were some sort of 'test objects'. Okay, sure, i sort of figured it out when the first polar bear came there and was all waaa waa waa :D Honestly, why would there be a polar bear in a place like that!? Also, there is some lab under the island or stuff... hehe :D

Gah - I missed Lost last night, though it was for a good reason - I was talking to Swifty so I didnt mind missing it as I havent spoken to her in ages lol

Yes, as far as I see, it is some sort of Lab and that man who was under there ran off and left the group to press the numbers in and press enter cause they say if you dont they will all die!

I wonder...is it all just a government game?

(anyone know when the repeate of last nights episode is on in England?? lol)

I don't understand it myself either, since I don't really watch Lost either, but it seems to me that it's an interview with the actor who is playing Micheal in Lost

I don't really know what to think about lost. It gets weirder every week. I have heard a rumour that the whole island is a gone wrong science experiment, i.e the polar bear

But I still don't know what to believe.

about the theories... well, i know that Desmond (the guy that Jack knew, that ran away and left them alone at the hatch to press the button) is the responsible for making them crash at the island... It appears that he pressed a wrong button and BUM! They crashed... Then i think that they ARE somewhat "test objects" (they've seen that creepy movie with that old woman)... oh and that Henry person? BAD PERSON... one of the Others... oh, of course he got himself trapped on purpose! duh...

Right now, the episodes here are at the part where Michael is back from trying to get Walt back and he kills Ana Lucia and Libby cuz he's gonna take Henry to the Others' camp so they bring back walt...

Oh and I've heard that... oh no, you don't wanna know that... *shakes head*

I tried to sit and watch it and had no clue what was going on!!

My mom and dad get...probably because they were smart enough to watch it from day one! Phhhft!!

but i havent watched in a looooooooong time, so now im a bit confused.

Im making it a priority to buy it on DVD to catch up on it before the new series comes in Fall

I started watching lost and thought it was actually quite good at the beginning then unfortunately i missed numerous episodes so now my mind is as the show states - lost. I have caught a couple recently when they are down in the bunker and all those numbers, though there are many other people who i havent the foggiest who they are

I feel the same. I watched the first season and thought yes, this is one show im going to enjoy, but it just doesnt seem to be going anywhere. I keep watching it out of curiosity, but it needs to move on. Why cant they just not press the button!

I'm ahuge Jack/Kate/Sawyer fan!! Even if i want it to be Kate/Sawyer rather than Kate/Jack.. Sawyer is just a great guy! And hot!

My friend tried to hop in on the second season (which just started in finland, blaaah!!) but she was sooooo lost at the first 5 minutes :D It's impossible to follow it if you haven't seen it from the beginning!

I've been watching lost since it started and really like it. My favorite character is Sawyer but it just annoys me how they have revealed hardly anything and theres already been two seasons.We better start to get some answers next season or i'm going to stop watching it!

I was a little confused by the ending actually. The very ending scene was two men on a boat, who then phoned up this woman (who we'd earlier been shown as that Desmond's girlfriend), who was in bed and not on the Island, and then it ended. Very strange.

Also, The Others had captured Jack, Sawyer, Kate, Charlie and Hurley, in exchange for allowing Michael to get Walt back, but they said Hurley could go free. I think the last scene with them in was Hurley walking away from his friends who were tied up.

The ending asked more questions than it answered really.

lol I tried watching this a few times and I was utterly confused. Then a few weeks ago I tried again and I love it! It looks like they've just started explaining some things in the third season, so I don't think I'll bother watching the first two...but I definitely will keep watching the third!

I gave up as well. I was kind of forced to though, because it moved from Channel Four to Sky One, and then Sky took it's basic channels off Virgin Media, and so I can't watch it anyway...

Pity though, because it seems like they're just starting to explain things now...like I said, I just started watching and I'm not confused cause in the last few episodes they've explained quite a bit while still keeping lots of things mysterious.

Too bad on the writers though for dragging things out this long, they could've explained these little bits in the second season and kept more viewers.

I think it airs in england on the 3rd but I have yet to finish watching the second series so I won't be watching it on tv. Maybe on the internet but by the time I finish watching the second one and then the 2rd one. The 4th series will probably be out on dvd.
