Constant Vigilence!

I wish I could remember my thought process from the first time I read Goblet of Fire, because this time around, I found a clue that makes it so obvious that Moody isn't Moody.

The Marauder's Map!

In spite of Moody/Crouch's never ending command for "constant vigilence", Harry never picks up on the fact that Moody's avatar is never seen on the map.

Harsh lesson learned, I guess.

I found the same thing happened to me. JK put in all those clues, but there were so many other plotlines that, if you weren't completely on the ball, you weren't going to pick up on it. We're reading from Harry's Point of View, remember, and he was more interested in other things, and the reader is prompted into his way of thinking.

Yeah, if he had been looking I'm sure he would've been weirded out but like Melly said, as we only read from his point of view it just didn't register. I love the way JK slips in all these clues though.

Good stuff, clever clues. :D It's usually a point of pride for me to weed out the clues and figure out the ending before it's obvious, but this one eluded me.

The one that really eluded me was the locket clue. Clever, JK, clever.

The locket seemed obvious to me... Hmmz. Matter of perspective?

Really??? I never connected the locket they tried to open to the one that was missing when they went to get the Horcrux...you has got talent! xD
