I was wondering, does it say anywhere in the books what house moaning mirtle was in?

I am not sure that it was in the book, though I had it in my mind that she was in Gryffindor - I might be completely off track though.

I looked on Hp-lexicon and they don't say in which house she is, but I don't know why, I thought she was in Ravenclaw...

lol everyone has different ideas! Myself, I thought she was a hufflepuff or ravenclaw member for some reason. Her character was not of slytherin nature, and i dont think she was brave enough to be in gryffindor

I thought she was in Ravenclaw or Gryffindor. I think though I'd lean more towards Ravenclaw. Yeah cuz I mean I theorize(is that a word, if not it sounds too cool not to be) that Myrtle was smart and I'm guessing that maybe her appearance and persona would be more of a Ravenclaw style.

I also wonder... :scratch: :scratch: wasn't Myrtle's bathroom located near the Ravenclaw area??? Anyone know? If so, then it's most probable to assume that with the layout of the castle if my thoughts are correct, Myrtle's bathroom was closest to Ravenclaw tower.

I know the films differ sometimes, but in the film she was wearing a ravenclaw tie - so possibly ravenclaw?

Yeah, thats' what I was thinking- Ravenclaw. I didn't see that she was wearing a Ravenclaw tie though-What scene do you see it in, Charmzy? I'm curious :D

I thought Myrtle was a Gryffindor. In the film I didn't see Myrtle in a blue tie but then again I wasn't paying much attention to her.

Well it is true that myrtle is in ravenclaw in the film and they must have spoken to JK about it before filming so therefore i assume that ravenclaw is the answer

I always thought she was a Hufflepuff, but maybe it's just me. Because really I don't think she's brave or she wouldn't of ran away from everybody like that, definitly, not slytherian because she was muggle-born, I think that she was always a little dim though... so either Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw

In the moive,it shows she was in Griff.but i thought she was in Huffle.Oh and the woman who plays as her is about 30 something.

I saw that too. She WAS wearing a Ravenclaw tie. I've always associated her with Ravenclaw too. She didn't seem the brave type to be in Gryffindor. She didn't seem like she would be in Hufflepuff either. And she definitely wasn't Slytherin material. I really do think she was in Ravenclaw.

Yeah, I thought she was a Hufflepuff the first time I read the book but like stephy said, HP wiki says she was a Ravenclaw...and HP wiki knows all. xD
