For this assignment, I would like you to make a banner for Anicent Runes. I want everyone to be as creative as possible and have fun with it, but here are some guidelines:

Size: No bigger than 275 pixels in height
No wider than 450 pixels

Text: Must include the title of the class (Anicent Runes)
Must also incorporate some runic writing. You can make this say anything you want, but it must be
written out in runes (you can use any runic alphabet you want, Elder Futhark, Cirth, etc.)

Image: You may use any images you would like.

I would also like you to say in a few sentences what your runic text translates to in English, and why you chose to use it.

I chose this quote, because I thought that it represented the different civilizations that used runes. While they must have had great wisdom, they are now a thing of the past and nearly forgotten. The only true relic we have of them is their language. In a way, the runic alphabet is the only thing that can be responsible for any possible future of the lost civilization.</hide>

"The Runes of Magic"

I'll keep this short because, truly, to me runes have only one word to describe them - magical. They're used in many myths, lore, games, etc., to symbolize wisdom and magic, the writing of magic even! Runes can enclose so much magic within them and not everyone is able to decipher them, understand them or even like them! Only those blessed and chosen can appreciate them, so while some might say Magic is Might, I say Runes is Magic and, therefore, Might!

I chose the quote, "You have to know the past, to understand the future". I think this perfectly sums up the reasons why we need to learn about runes. There is so much knowledge in the past that was kept in the runes, the writings of the people before us and if we don't know what happened in the past then we can't figure out why things are the way things are the way that they are. Everything is linked together, so I think that it's important for all of us to reach into the past and learn everything we can from it, to make tomorrow better.
