Muggle Jobs: Maids

There are many jobs that muggles have that are not found or variations of jobs in the wizarding world. Through the series 'Muggle Professions' we'll be looking at some of these muggle jobs and learning more about them to better understand muggle society.


Part 1:

In a short essay answer the following: your opinion would it be better to work as a commerical or a private maid? Make sure to consider pay scale, hours worked, benefits and difficulty of labor when giving your answer.

Part 3
Muggle maids have been called a lot like house elves in the wizarding world. In fact, one might say that they preform many of the same duties but without the use of magic.

However, muggle maids are paid and house elves are not. Do you think if more people knew about muggle maids and their jobs, pay and lifestyle they'd be more sympathetic toward house elves? Why or why not?
