Ancient History

What is your favourite time in history and why? I dont mean in your life I mean further back

I love the fire and plague of london. I think it is amazing how the city transformed and changed through these events

The event's I like aren't really anicent history but still...

Two events that I find fascinating are the holocaust and titanic. For some reason there is just something that draws me to those two events in history.

the titanic is great too (well not great as people died but interesting!) I watched a dive to the wreck on tv which was brilliant

I think my favorite thing would be the story of the Romanov. Well... it was really horrible what happened to them, and sad, but it's a really interesting story.

The great wars back in the time of bows and arrows!

I always like learning about the holocaust!

lol I wanted to write a hp timetravel fanfiction and include the Romanov history in it but I never got around doing it

*squees* I love the Romanov history! It's soooo tragic and such but I love reading about it so much :D

I think one of the most interesting time periods was the second world war - more specifically - Britain during the second world war (and just afterwards).

I love reading fictional novels set during these times.

I love all history and cannot really pick a favorite time. I can say that I despise American history since it is so short.

I dont really like histoy but I do like learning about London

probably back to when the city Troy was still intact. I know its supposedly a myth but If I went back to its supposed time then I would know wouldnt I?

OK I have 3. Its not that ancient but over 75 years ago. I think that
the fall of the U.S. stock market is cool. It happned October 29,
1929, and again in Septemeber in the 80's. I also find the BUbonic
Plague is Europe fascinating, you around the Midieivil times. I also am
Obbssessed with the Titanic. That happned on April 15, 1912. I know
everything about it too. IDd you know there are only 2 people who
survived the wreck that are still alive. I also love the movie. I just
know soo much about all those things.

First and Second World War is quite interesting to hear about, and Holocaust. Also, i think all the war movies are pretty interesting, too. Like Pearl Harbor, Save Private Ryan (it's about Battle of Normandy) and We Were Soldiers (Vietnam War)

There's so much interesting stuff about history, and in my opinion, reading about Finland's poor war history and how they bravely fought the Russians away is just booooring. Sure, i'm glad that they made Finland independent, but it's just... so... boring! >__<

...and the rest of the world has NO IDEA about it, so what's the point!! :D

For me there is many times in history I enjoy reading and learning about. The ancient Greeks and their mythology.the Roman Empire when it thrived and controlled the known world, The Ancient Egyptians and how they built the pyrimids and the technology they used to do it. The Mayans and Aztec civilizations. The Crusades,Dark Ages, and Medieval Times. all of these I find very fascinating and I really do enjoy learning all I can about them.

runnerups would be the renessance and 1700s-1900s of American history

My favorite part of history is the Tudor era starting from Henry VII to Elizabeth I.. that time period just fascinates me!

I've recently stumbled upon the Spartan culture which ties into my fascination with Ancient Greece. After seeing the movie 300 I had to learn more.

I like Victorian Era england, and Ancient Minoan Crete.

Mostly for the clothes. ^.^
