Class suggestions

We could do what we would do if we were a ghost, who we would haunt, why, how we had died, things like that,

How about a ghost story/myth specific to you. For example, there's a story about the house of the people who used to own the land of the neighbor hood I live in being haunted. It's even on the top 100 most haunted places in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia list.
That could be a fun way to learn about other people on the site, and ghost, ghouls, and myths.

Talk about monsters.
Talk about whether Voldemort could use them, ect.

would that not be defense against dark arts?
what about creating your own ghost story

We could hold a seance. We could pick a deceased HP character and write about how the seance went, who attended, who lead the seance, and a record of what was said. Maybe for extra points we could add a picture of the room where the seance took place.

We could write an essay on which supernatural power from the HP books we would want and why. Would you want Tonks ability to change her appereance, or Harry's Parsel Tongue ability? Would you want to be an animagnus, or would you want predict the future like Trewlaney? We could also maybe pick the one we'd least like to have.

Hello, I have a few ideas for class lessons- I've posted them all here so you can pick and choose which are good.

Lesson one- An Introduction to the Supernatural-

1. What is a ghost?
2. What is a poltergeist? And where has there been recorded documentation on one?
3. What are two instruments that paranormalists use to determine the presence of something that is supernatural?
4. How many types of hauntings are there?
5. Explain what a residual haunting is.(the more detail, the more points you get)
6. What are spirit orbs?
7. Explain what ectoplasm is.
8. What are signs of a haunting?
9. What is an apparition? spector? phantom?
10. When did the public become aware of 'supernatural occurances' ?


Lesson 2- Haunted places

Lesson two- Haunted places

Part 1- Explain in great detail two places that are said to be haunted in England. Give accounts on witnesses who have seen/experienced things and give a brief history of who the supposed ghosts are and how they mave have died. Be as detailed as possible.

Part 2- Name two places in the United States that are famous haunted sites and explain the history (if any) behind these hauntings.

Part 3- Describe in details what sort of things might determine if your house or any building is haunted.


Lesson 3- Ghosts around the world

Ghosts and hauntings happen all over the world. Go through and find a pic of a ghost supposedly taken from the following haunted areas.

2. Winchester Mansion (US)
3. One of the castles in France
4- Hollywood, California (US)
5. Japan
6. Germany
7. Italy
8. Canada
9. The Alamo (US)

Lesson 4- A look at Famous Ghosts

Pick two famous ghosts (examples: country leaders, presidents, movie stars, etc) and where they have haunted/are haunting. Give possible reasons for why they might choose to haunt and give a brief history of how they died. No word limit but the more details, the more points you get.

Lesson 5- The Winchester Mansion

1. Where is this haunted mansion located?
2. What is the history/story behind it being haunted? (Please be detailed)
3. How many rooms has it been estimated to have?
4. Would you want to live there? Explain in detail why or why not.

Part 2-A trip to the Winchester Mansion

If you've ever been to it, then tell about your experience here, if you haven't then pretend you have and explain how it made you feel, what you saw, if weird things happened, etc etc. Be creative, be detailed, and above all, have fun with this assignment!

We should all tell about our personal experiences with the paranormal. I know Rigby and I have some great pictures we could share from a haunted Bed and Breakfast a group of us went to.

we could disucuse our fav myths in a discussion. You could say the topic is well...... eg..... the kappa then we could say what we know about it....... or we could answer questions about the kappa.

How about studing about a certain supernatural or paranormal mytho say like a ghost or alien etc ... We could study how these things live here what happens to them etc...

write a drabble 100-200 words on a person's reaction to their first day as a ghost

We could have either a discussion or assignment about places we've visited that are named to be haunted.We could do research on haunted places to find out what made them famous?

we could have a class assignment where we tell ghost storied that i have happen to us......i have about 4 of them.i think i no alot of ghost or they no me....no lie.

How about something on the Laws of Karma? I got a source if you are curious as to what I am referring to.

I kinda of thought of this while I was sleeping. Why I dreamed this? Dont ask. But you know how everyone has Artist of the week or something like that?? Why dont we have Ghost of the week? I know there are plenty of ghost that could be used!
