He hasn't committed a crime as such (well he has, being a DE is a crime), but he has done innumerable horrible things, he's a bully and there's no way you could say that any of the things he has done are good.

Even if he doesn't turn out to be ultimately evil, he could never be fully redeemed and 'good'.

EDIT: I'm so silly! I just remembered a BIG crime he committed - the murder of Albus Dumbledore!

he hasn't necessarily COMMITTED the crime, but that's my point. He is standing by and watching death eaters do as they wish, he never sabotages their plans. if he were completely good he would be completely on the good side. I think snape cares only about himself, and as such could never be good OR evil. what is selfish? is selfishness good or evil? you could argue that it's self-preservation or ignorance, but you can't evenly categorize selfishness into good or evil.

um...dumbledore WAS kinda old...there's no guarantee he wasn't senile...or at least, in Harry's mind DD is this glowing person who can never make mistakes, but DD is still human, and a good legilimens like Snape could perhaps have fooled him

just because a person has greasy har does not mean its down to the lack of bathing. EVERYONE should know this, its just the way peoples bodies work, it CAN NOT be helped.

god just because a person is unhygenice doesnt mean they r bad, you shoudl all meet John my man nd ask him when he last bathed, which incidently was CHRISTMAS EVE! And he is far from evil, he's like a giant teddy with a temper, stil not evil, so how can this make Snapeypoo evil?

However *clears throat* I can not understand how someone who has oily tendencies can go for a month without a shower. Speaking from experience, as I am such a person, if I go for 2 days without a shower, I would be a walking disaster.

i've gone *counts* nearly 6 years without a shower because simple fact i do not own one.

And may i ask how do you feel about Harry? He didnt have a bath until his 4th yr nor did he use the lavatory unless it was to brew Polyjuice potion or fight Draco .... his bladder must be about to explode.

oh come on. by shower I meant ANY form of bathing, whether you do it in the bathtub or a public bathroom sink or the lake. and I think it is a basic human function to WANT to take care of yourself and keep yourself clean. if someone is completely healthy and sane, and isn't trying to make some sort of statement, then I can't think of a good enough reason for them to go months without bathing.

and harry went for months without eating as well, so technically he should be dead.
