What supplies will you have with you when reading Deathly Hallows? Make your checklist here!

My Checklist

-The Book
Of course, I'll need the book. I'll hopefully fetch it at midnight, and then come home to read it.

-Money
Well, I'll need some to buy the book in the first place!

-My Pillows
I'll want to get settled on the sofa to read, and I'll want to be as comfortable as possible!

-A torch
Be prepared for all eventualities! If there's a powercut, I will be able to carry on reading.

-A supply of tea, milk and sugar
What could be better than settling down with a nice cup of tea and the last Harry Potter book?

-Tissues
I'm fully prepared for there to be moments of sadness in the book, and so tissues are a must!

-Some sort of snack
Nothing that is greasy, crumby, juicy and in any way messy. Looks like I'm left with...hmm...

-My Ipod
Not for listening to whilst reading - how absurd! No, I'll take my ipod with me when I go to fetch the book to drown out any potential spoilers. I don't want to go in and have the little kid in front of me open the book to the back page and shout "HARRY'S DEAD!"

-My laptop
So that when I've finished I can jump on and start discussing it!

-The day off work
When HBP came out, I skived. This year, I'm more prepared and have booked the day off.

-Self restraint
So that I don't flip ahead and ruin things for myself!

XD this is a nice idea! I never thought of such a checklist, but I guess it's good to make one, to be prepared! :D ... sooo....


My official "Deathly Hallows" checklist!

- the book! (like, woooow!)
- yeah, I guess the money to buy the book... XD ... oh and also money to go to the internet cafe the next day, because I won't be at home
- orange juice - yup I know I'll probably be way too busy reading to even notice I'm thirsty, but anyway - I won't go to the kitchen to get water... XD ... and orange juice keeps me fit and able to read nooon stop!
- hm, I guess a torch is a good idea
- well, I'll be on holidays.. so there won't be any school to cancel... but I'll probably warn my friends not to try to get me out of house until I finish it :D
- a paper that says "DO NOT DISTURB!" to hang onto the door
- ohhh.... food.... hmmm.... something niiiice.... like.... choccy..... : P ... hmm and pizza... but then again, that's greasy and it takes time to bake... no, I'll just prepare some yummy sandwiches
- if I'm having choccy, then I guess I'll also need some water so the sweetness goes away (after having eaten waaay too much chocolate)
- green tea and coke to overcome sleepiness (probably won't even feel that I'm sleepy with DH in front of my lovely eyes ... but just to make sure XD)
- a comfy pillow to lean on and a blanket to cover myself
- mobile phone turned OFF! XD
- comfy clothes
- oooh... maybe tissues...? XD

well, the list seems kinda complete to me... but I'll let you know if I get any more ideas XD

My checklist

The book! : Without the book there would be no point in the checklist!

Money : I havent managed to persude pople to give me books free yet!

My bed covered with cusions and pillows : So comfy! Plus an extra one to support little elf!

My legs : In case I want to go to the toilet hehe

Mick : To fetch and carry food and drink to me (he gets to read the book AFTER me hehe)

My computer : To rush onto straight after Ive finished!

Tissues : Yep Im sure I'll cry, especially with my hormones lol

Phone of the hook! : I dont want to be disturbed

Something to distract Mick from reading over my sholder : hehe I now have a picture of Mick lying under one of those baby mobiles

My Deathly Hallows Checklist:

1. Prearrange a time for all of us to meet up at Barnes and Noble, make sure that lighting in living room is good.

2. Make sure to have check card and back up cash in case register's go down or power outtage.

3. iPod (stealing Ame's idea) so that on the way from the bookstore to the mini I don't hear anything that I don't want to.

4. Make everyone promise on the way home not to skip ahead to the end of the book (group reading will discourage this as we will be able to watch each other for peeking)

5. Bring mattressess, pillows and extra blankets down and spread out in living room, with the couch, love seat and chairs there will be plenty of space for people to spread out and read.

6. Line up flashlights and candle lighters on top of t.v. for easy access (t.v. will be turned to one of the music stations, playing ever so softly)

7. Bring out snacks and drinks and put on coffee table. Sodas, water and alcohol(for Courtney). Snacks will include: cinnamon roaster pecans, oreo balls, chips and sandwhiches cut into cute little squares for easy finger food- all the better for reading. Coffee and frappachinos for later in the morning, also cereal for breakfast- I'll pre-check with everyone for preferences. Also some veggies in case Michelle is in her vegan mood.

8. Force Courtney to take Emmy out for walks when she breaks for cigarettes. That's what she gets for being a smoker.

9. If Ame has to bring Van we will set him up in our guest bedroom for the night- make sure to get out baby cups and baby food for him.

10. Do a quick toast to the end of Harry Potter *sniffles* and start to read!

11. Both Aaron's desktop, my laptop and Courtney's up and ready, tuned to HE for any activity, and to be able to hop on to chat the moment book is done. I don't want to have to fight Ame for computer time! *g*

Okay here goes before I can get the book I need
My dad (he buys the books for me)
Then the book (to read it duh)
Phone (my dad got his liscence took of him so we are getting my mum to pick me up so I will be sat on a bench in town waiting for her to come get me reading XD)
A book mark (although I plan to sit there and read I am sure I am going to need the toilet at some point so until I am bursting for it I will wait but then I will need to put it down and pee XD)
Comfy pillows and a quilt (going to be sat there most of the day)
tissues (for the deaths that are going to happen)
self restraint(not to turn to the back of the book to weather Harry days what the last word is who else dies etc)

then the next day
My Hogwarts uniform and wand (Harry Potter mania day)

My Deathly Hallows Checklist:

1. I should use the time left to complete my theory list and prepare some CD's to match the mood. I'll probably print out this checklist, too ^^
2. The day before, I'll decide whether to spend my reading time on the bed or the couch. Whichever one's it gonna be, I'll probably cover it in pillows and blankets beforehand.
3. My alarm clock so I don't sleep in and miss the arrival of the book, meaning the deliverer (?) will take it with him again o.O Check my checklist first thing in the morning.
4. My most comfy clothes to dress in as soon as I've woken up.
5. The patience to wait for the delivery once I'm awake. Meanwhile, prepare my reading camp: piling a thousand kinds of snacks and drinks onto the table (must remember to check caffeine supply), along with a book mark for any emergency cases. Place hairbands in reach in case my hair is annoying me. Check my checklist again. Hurry to put a notebook and pen next to where I'll be lying/sitting. Grab any take-away menu and place it nearby with a phone. Dare the phone to ring at the wrong moment, then decide to turn it off just in case. Switch cell phone to silent mode. At the last moment, search frantically for a few candles - you never know what might happen - and some tissues.
6. Keep from fainting when finally holding HPDH in my hands, then settle down and get started!!! Halfway through the book, remember the theory list that required lots of time and effort. Forget about it again, the book will be too exciting to stop reading at any point.
7. When done, jump onto the computer and come straight to the HE
8. At some point, fetch the abandoned theory list and settle down again to re-read the book, using the list this time.

With all the things I'll have to do and prepare, I'm lucky my parents will be on holiday, cause having the house to myself means not having to keep people from distracting me on top of everything else ^^
