Dragon uses

Dragons are very powerful, magical creatures. They are strong flying reptiles that fly and breath fire. They are very dangerous and hard to capture. This makes their parts even more rare and powerful to use in potions and charms. Most dragons live high in the moutains so that Muggles are not able to spot them very often. Since dragon parts are so valuable and magical, people have found thousands of ways to use them in sickness or even luck.

People have been known to use hide, blood, teeth, saliva, bones, heart, liver, horn, claws, and even fat. Dragon liver is quite often used in school for potions, Yet it is quit expensive, so should not be wasted. The going rate was about 16 sickles an ounce. Dragon horns are also used in potions, yet is even more expensive so should only be used for serious potions. Yet dragons parts are not only used by wizards but muggles have also found uses for them. The most often used dragon part is the dragon bone because it is the most easiest to find. In 1927, villages in China supported themselves by digging up dragon bones to sell to museums or make dragon bone medicines.

Dragon meat was also very valued and was mainly a royalty dish. They claimed that dragon meat gave them brain power. A dragon fell into Emperor Hwo's well during a violent storm and he ordered it to be made into soup. Emperor Chao caught a dragon while he was fishing in the Wei River and handed it to his cooks. He claimed it was "delicious" and it helped him create many brillant essays. The rest of the dragon parts are made into "miracle medicine". Although dragon saliva, which is found as an oily substance floating ontop of the ocean water, is used as marking jade and gold and created the base for wonderful scents of perfumes.
