So the time has come to create your own plant, this plant has to be made up and not a real plant. You need to give the scientific name of your plant, whats its medical uses are within the muggle world. Also explain what kind of temperature does it need to grow in, location of your plant, and how it helps within the magical world. You could also explain what it looks like, and its hazards.You must have at least 500 words.

Bonus:If you create a picture for your newly made plant. You will be give an extra 10 points.

Lizard Leaf tree

Founded in the 21 century, the Lizard Leaf tree is not, as its names implies a tree, it is however a bush. It was given its name by two muggles by the name of Jacob Zeller and Cindy Fridley who where traveling through the rain forest looking for a rare breed of monkeys that they had heard to live there. After many months of searching they had not yet ran into this monkey and instead found a rather interesting plant hiding beneath many other bushes. They both found this bush to be quiet strange because its leaves where in the shape of small lizards. Upon searching the area they where able to find many other trees just like it. Cindy quickly dug up one of the plants and brought to the nearest lab and after several days of testing, they where able to see that it had the ability to make the consumer able to regenerate any missing limbs. After several days of keeping the plant in the lab, they had found the plant to of had died. The cause of this was because there was too much sunlight. The sunlight had caused it to dry up and they threw the plant out in the trash bin that was wet and had a minimum amount of light. They then went and gotten another plant and this time they placed it in wet and minimum sunlight conditions and saw that the plant had liked this.

Two months later a wizard by the name of Wyatt Timberlank came across this wondrous plant and decided to try to make a potion out of it. His result was the Lizard potion. This potion made it so that if it was taken once than the drinker throughout his entire life would be able to grow back lost limbs just like a lizard and because of this the potion is very rare and very expensive.

Part one

Raddablin

Raddablin is not a well know plant. It lives in Egypt as it is prone to the hottest temperatures. Without the heat the plant would not survive. Raddablin does not need much water and the Egyptian weather is perfect for just that. Though many of us will only see the Raddablin plant in a book. It holds many uses and many of use owe our lives to this plant and the trade and communication system between countries.
The Raddablin plant is one of the basic ingredients in most of the remedies and herbs made. Though coming from Egypt in a dire situation there can be a substitute for this plant made.
The effect of the Raddablin is either for quicken and speed up the potion or slow it down or stop the spread altogether. Crushed and chopped up into 1cm pieces the Raddablin will be best to quicken up the potion. The smaller the pieces that are chopped the quicker the effect is made. There are hardly ever any guide lines given to how you should cut the Raddablin it is up to the potionier or healer to make that choice. To make the effect slow down slice the Raddablin in half and it in like that. Without biting it or crushing it up. To stop it altogether you have to swallow the plant whole. This can be quite difficult for many people as the plant is very large and can sometimes choke you. The only times known to have ever swallowed the Raddablin whole are those of life and death matters where a deadly potion is spreading through the body quickly and the only way to get to a healer in time is to stop the potions process.
Either way it is quite handy to have a Raddablin plant in your pocket. Costing 3 sickles each. The Raddablin plant can either be pink or yellow with either colour they will have small red and green spots on the about half a centimetre wide. The whole width of the plant is 6 centimetres and can be quite tricky to cut or swallow. With its thick look the Raddablin has a smooth texture with tiny hairs all over it. At the top of the plant there is brown prickles. These are to be removed at all costs. Usually they will be by the shop owner but on the occasion that they do not they will need to be cut of and the area of them cut of. The top of the Raddablin formally know as the Ritchen is highly poisons. Within touch it can burn your skin. The full height of the plant will be approximately 15cm. And you can see now why it is so hard to swallow one of these full.
For a standard potion you will use approximately half of a Raddablin as the base of it. In some cases the Raddablin will already be placed in your cauldron if you are a school student or a healer unless it is one of 6 potions which does not require the Raddablin.
These plant does not usually get much publicity and is quite often taken for granted. As in potion books it is often described as placing the base of the potion in which is mainly the Raddablin and some water.
In conclusion the Raddablin is one of the best and most helpfully plants around and practically every wizarding house hold will have a Raddablin plant in them.
