CARNIVAL : HUFFLEPUFF : Floats

The
carnival preparations are now going to take place. You have been split
into four groups according to your HE houses. This is the thread for:

HUFFLEPUFF

You
must work together as a group to design a float for the carnival
parade. You must decide on a category (which can be anything) and work
together to put together the winning float which will be judged in the
RPG parade. You must also design costumes for each of you, and anything
else which you deem relevent, such as music, entertainment on the float
etc.

You must have the final float designed and posted here before taking it into the RPG parade.

Possible points:

Up to 400 points per person (depending on how each person works)

Obviously, the first thing we need to do is choose a theme/category. I
am just a LITTLE bored of badgers, so can we do something else and
perhaps do some slight decorating with Huffie colors or badgers? I am
currently out of ideas but I'll be thinking over the weekend and maybe
I'll come up with something...or hopefully one of you will.

so I had a few more ideas about this...lol I'm
an old Disney freak lol but we have two options for the parade
music...we could either choose various songs and kind of slice them
together to make one song..I've tried doing this and although it's not
great...it's workable lol or have this song I found from my cousins
sing along dvds lol and each of us will have our own princess songs in
our stall..

And our theme could be Disney Dreams...watch the clip and you'll see what I mean lol

Once
we've decided on which princesses will be used, we could brainstorm on
the float design. As for the stalls, it could each have our own scene
for each princess, a gifts store, and a concession stand. Each of our
stalls could have our princess theme songs, while we tell the story our
way etc.

so I dont exactly know how the float will look but I'm thinking perhaps we each have our own area and thrones around the edges and the center can be something else...and we can get off the float and walk and dance around or whatnot...perhaps even do some sorta dance together..you know performance wise instead of just sitting on the floats smiling...and maybe..just maybe we can persuade our lovely own Belle to sing a song or so? *smiles sweetly* lol

Good idea, Jenn. So what do we put into the middle? A castle is the obvious answer, which is why we should avoid it--too typical and boring. XD Maybe a huge gold/ebony crown? Any ideas on what else indicates royalty and would make a statement in the middle of a float?

Can I nab sleeping beauty?

Does anyone want help with costumes? I could help with that maybe? or just point me in the right direction to what needs doing!

Okay. I think everyone should create one or two dolls for their chosen character. They can be in the traditional (or should I say, disney) costume if the costume has a bit of yellow or black in it, or if ya like you can design a new huffie-colored outfit for them. Jenn has a good link up there with a doll-maker site in case you're looking for one.

Once we have all the dolls we can create a graphic with a float and all the dolls on it...

I like the last carriages at the end! How about we each get a carriage like that around the edges of the float and have a castle in the middle like...

I think it would be good if we had people separate into design (the float, flyers although it's not required you never know about the extra points, and siggies and avatars kinda promoting this) and the other half could be creative (more songs to play and post, something to throw out to the crowd, songs to be sung, activities, etc..)

That would be great, except I think we've run out of time to plan this and now whoever's around has got to actually DO it. I like the castle you found!

Anyway, we need to get this moving.

I'll do the float later tonight, I think...though I'm feeling lazy tonight so maybe not...XD

Let's decide what we wanna do on our float! Like Jenn said, we can throw something to the crowd and sing a song.
