i would really like to learn some useful spanish phrases so if anyone would be so kind as to teach some simple spanish here i would be most greatful. Thank you

sorry for posting the numbers in spanish twice i was having promblems with my computer


now a simple way for writing nubers like 22 or 55 all you got to do is find the number for 20 which is veinte and the word for 2 which is dos and put them together with y in between them so it would be veinte y dos and if you did the same for 55 you would get cincuenta y cinco


now if you wanted to write 199 you would take the nuber for 100 which is cien and add to at the end, find the word for 90 which is noventa and find the word for 9 which nis nueve and put it together. make sure you add the y

you should get ciento noventa y nueve

dont put a y between the ciento and the noenta

now im going to give you some phases on how to say hello and goodbye

adios- goodbye
buenas noches- goodnight
buenas tardes- good afternoon
bueno, tengo clase- well, i have class (now)
buenos dias- good morning
chao- bye
hasta luego- see you later
hasta manana- see you tomorrow
hola- hello
senor- sir, mr
senora-ma'am, mrs
senorita- miss
tengo que irme- i have to go

introducing people and responding to an introduction
como te llamas?- whats ur name?
encantado/a- delighted to meet you
esta es mi amiga ____-this is my friend___(female)
este es mi amigo ____-this is my friend ___(male)
igualmente- same here
me llamo___- my name is___
mucho gusto- nice to meet you
se llama___- his/her name is ___
soy____- i am ___
y tu?- and you (familiar)

to introduce yourself you say Me llamo es (name).
if you want to know someone elses name ask como te llamas?
if someone asks you comote lamas you respond by saying me llamo (name)
if your going to introduce one of your friends to someone else youd say se llama (friends name)

you could also say esta es mi amiga (name female) or este es mi amigo (name male)


thats just about what you need to know when introducing yourself

when you answer the question como esta? you reply by saying:
Yo __How you are____ for ex Yo horrible
or
just say how you are.
for ex if your excellent just say excelente
the words that has a /a at the end of it like estupendo/a mwans that if your a guy you would wirte / say estupendo but if your a girl you would say/ write estupenda. one in femine and the other is masculen. if you have any question just pm me ill try to answer your questions

Cuantos anos tiene?- how old is he/she
Cuantos anos tienes?- how old are you?
el numero- number
Tengo ______ anos.- Im _____ years old
Tiene ____ anos- he /she _______ years old
De donde eres?- Where are you from?
De donde es?- Where is she/he from?
Es de _____- He/she is from_____
ser- to be
Soy de ______- Im from_______

To answer Cuantos anos tienes you would respond by saying Tengo (AGE) anos.
Now to answer the question De donde eres you answer by saying Soy de (LOCATION).

Now if your talking to your friend about someone else and they ask you Cuantos anos tiene you would answer by saying Tiene (THIER AGE) anos and to answer the question De donde es you would reply by saying Es de (THIER LOCATION).

Hopefully it makes sense its not that hard once you understand

<BIG> Making spanish word plural</BIG>


To make a word in spanish plural all you have to do is follow these simple rules.

1. If the word ends with a vowel add s at the end

2. If the word ends with a consinnet then you add es

3. if it ends in z like lapiz (Pencil) youd drop the z and replace it with c then addes add es so its now Lapices

Vosotras- sois

Uds.
(ellos)- son
(ellas)

As for Conmigo that means with me like for ex you could say to someone you could go to the park with me and contigo it means with you and its almost like conmigo. Para ti means but me and para mi means but you and you could put it in a sentence like everyone could go but you/me

when to use el and la
If a noun ends in an -o usally it is masculine, use "el"
If a noun ends in an -a usally it is feminie, Use "la"


This isnt alwasy true so unless you dont have any other way to prove other wise best to keep this in mind

Hello, this is my first year of spanish, and I've got a test coming up soon, so help would be great, thanks XD

I would like to learn some very specific phrases for work. We have quite a few Spanish speaking guests.

"My Spanish is very limited."
"What is your name?"
"What is your address?"
"What is your phone number?"
"Would you like smoking or non smoking?"
"Would you like one bed or two?"
"May I see the method of payment you would like to use?"
"Please sign here at the bottom."
"This is your room number. You are on the [ground, 1st, 2nd, 3rd] floor."
"The elevator is down this hall."
"Enjoy your stay."

It would just faciliate things a lot better if I could learn these commonly to always used phrases.

I've had close to a year of spanish at school so far. It's not words I've got a problem with, it's how to string them together in a sentence... So if someone could try and explain how it works, that'd make me one happy person (and my spanish teacher.) Thanks! XD
