Reading into the Words


In many books there are future/past meanings or two meanings with certain lines and the Twilight saga is no different.

Have you picked up on any lines which have any of these sorts of meanings?


For example:

Bella thinks before entering the school for the first time:
Quote :

'No one was going to bite me.'
Now this is ironic as shortly after she meets a family of vamps, though does anyone think there is any meaning with this line. Do you hink that perhaps Edward might not actually bite her? (I hope he does!) or does it hold no meaning except irony as she was bitten later on the hand.

Quote :

"You are exactly my kind of heroin."
Edward says this to Bella and has two future meanings. One being the meaning of heroin being like a drug - makes her happy (Loose speaking) and the other in the concept of hero/heroine where she not only saves him once but many times. Forshadowing here with some irony methinks!

Also some of Bella's dreams tend to have forsight though are slightly different in reality.

So what do you all think? Do you have any others?
