Hagrids Hut

Natalie appeared outside Hagrids hut.
She waited on her friends to come.

Shadow and Raven appeared, having teleported from the dorm. Looking around, they spotted Natalie and walked over.
"Hello." They said in unison.

Eliza and Zeke walked over to them.
"Hi." Eliza said, and Zeke nodded.

Raven walked over and greeted Eliza and Zeke, but Shadow kept her distance.

"Uh, Shadow? What's up?" Eliza walked over to her, but Zeke stayed where he was.

Shadow said nothing, but watched the pair carefully.

"Are we still arguing, or is that past, now?"

"It's not you, it's your brother." Shadow said softly.

"Oh, he's a bit hot-headed, with a fiery temper." Eliza said.

"I do not need to get into an argument at the moment, losing control is the last thing I need." Shadow said. Although Shadow had the mind to keep her distance, Raven was the complete opposite. She walked over to Zeke.
"You're Zeke, right?" She asked.

"Yes, that's me. Eliza's brother. You are?"

"Raven, Shadow's sister." Raven replied.

"Pleased to meet you."

"Same here." Raven responded. She glanced over at Shadow. "Sorry for my sister's lack of people skills."

"That's ok." he said. "This is my phoenix, Pyro." The phoenix flapped his wings in recognition.

Raven smiled and morphed into a... raven. She tried to 'talk' to the phoenix in bird language.

The phoenix just stared at her. He understood, but couldn't reply.
"He's not really a phoenix. He understands but can't talk. He's a sprite."

Raven morphed back.
"I though I sensed something funny. Never mind."

"Doesn't matter." He laughed. "You can morph into a Raven? Are you animagi?"

Raven shrugged.
"This dimension's eequivilent of an animagi, yes."

"Cool. I wish I could... But then again, I've got Pyro." The phoenix squawked.

Raven nodded and looked over to her sister again.

Zeke followed her gaze and saw Shadow. He gritted his teeth.

Raven sensed Zeke's reaction.
"What's up?"

"Me and your sister...?" Zeke said.

"Oh, yeah, you don't get on..." Raven said.

"Exactly." Zeke said.

Hagrid poked his head out of the door and saw them all.
"Well? Come in, then! I'll make some tea an' biscuits..."

Shadow and Raven turned simultaneously to see Hagrid.
"Hello." They said in unison.

Hagrid looked disgruntled.
"I wish you'd stop doin' tha' - it annoys me."

Eliza and Zeke waved. "Thanks, Hagrid." They walked inside the hut.

Shadow and Raven followed, apologising to Hagrid.

"Hey Hagrid," said Natalie, "how are things?"

Raven gazed at Zeke, completely zoning out. Shadow waved a hand in front of her face.
"Hello? Raven?"

Eliza laughed at Raven and Shadow, not realising who Raven was staring at, but Zeke...
Zeke noticed, and felt a strange sensation in the pit of his stomach.

"Huh?" Raven said, her mind coming back to the present. She blushed slightly as she gazed at Zeke.

Zeke felt uncomfortable under Raven's stare, but enjoyed the attention he was getting.

Raven tore her gaze away from Zeke. Shadow looked at her strangely and sought a mental connection.
"Rae, what's up?" She asked.
"I think you know that perfectly well..."
"Yes, I see..."

Zeke sensed the mental connection, but didn't interfere. He tried hard not to stare at Raven...
Hagrid gave them tea and rock cakes (aptly named).

"Thanks Hagrid." Eliza said, and Zeke nodded in agreement.

The twins discretely teleported theirs outside after thanking Hagrid. They knew all too well what happened when you ate one. Raven was still lost in thought as they did, and Shadow nudged her sharply in the ribs.

Hagrid thought that they had already finished theirs and gave them some more.
Zeke stared into his tea, and Eliza had to connect minds with him to wake him up.
Zeke!
What?
Why are you acting so funny?
Well... You see... I think I - Oh, never mind.

The twins politely declined the rock cakes, and turned their attention to Eliza and Zeke. They had sensed a connection, but kept out of it. They joined their own minds.
Raven, you keep staring at him, what is wrong? Shadow asked.
You know perfectly well.
Then just tell him!
I don't want to make a fool of myself...

Eliza continued to pester Zeke to tell her what was on his mind, but he wouldn't budge.

You're not gonna get anywhere by just staring at him!
I know!
So tell him!
No!

Shadow sighed and broke the connection.

Eliza and Zeke came back to the present just as Hagrid came with more rock cakes. They politely took another and nibbled on then, trying hard not to break their teeth.

Once again, Shadow and Raven politely declined, but the air between them seemed frosty.

Hagrid noticed.
"Wha' wrong? You don' like my cakes?" He asked, concerned.

"No, Raven and I ate not long ago." Shadow replied apologetically.

Eliza and Zeke knew better... They looked at each other and grinned.

Shadow and Raven kept their faces emotionless, but inside, they were also grinning.

Hagrid sat down heavily on one of the chairs, it groaned ominously. Fang came up to Zeke and licked his hands. Zeke patted him absently.
