Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour

Holly settled herself at one of the outdoor tables.
"One sundae please!" she called to the waiter.
He nodded.
Holly sighed.
"Been a long day George," she said to her spider monkey.

Natalie entered. Holly was there. She had not expected it, but was happy to see her.

"Can I have then six favour sundee please," she said happily to the waiter, and sat down next to Holly.

"Well nerd," Holly said, "Whats the happenings?"

"Not much...you?" asked Natalie

"Very little," Holly said, as the waiter brought them their orders, "I love it here,"

"It always smells so sweet...like sugar and flowers," said Natalie fondly.

Holly backed off a little.

"Sorry...but it does," said Natalie, "you'd be a bit worried if it smelled like dead rats."

"Yeah," Holly said, not listening.

"Mmm," said Natalie.

"Rhymes with him," she said.

"And lim," said Natalie, smiling at the thought of dayshavous.

Holly grinned.

((Yeah...lol...I can't spell))

Natalie sighed.

((Rage))

Holly laughed, very suddenly, and very loudly.

Natalie, who was used to this, didn't even flinch.

"You sound like your cousin," said Natalie, smiling.

Eliza made her way over to them.
"Hi." She sat down and made her order. A huge pile of ice-cream appeared and she started to eat.

"Hey Eliza," Holly said, "How have you been?"

Hi El...whats up?" Natalie asked.

"What.Is.The.Hot.Goss?" Holly asked, each word seperate from the last.

Eliza looked at them, an eyebrow raised.
"Well... It's not really hot goss, but my brother and I are going to war against our cousins, the fairies... And the faeries, my father's people, might be with the Synari, Shadow and Raven's people... or against."

"I think Holly was looking for more of a 'Not much' answer," Natalie said, grinning, "but, anyway, why is this happening?"

Eliza's face darkened.
"My uncle. He wanted to trade with other dimensions, gradually overcoming them until his kingdom reached into other worlds... My father is the exact opposite. He wants peace, and he wants to leave things as they should be. So the fairies and the faeries are fighting over that. The Synari know my uncles intentions, so they declined allience. They might know that we are fighting the fairies, and be with us... or they might think that since we are family..." Eliza trailed off. The mention of her uncle seemed to have clouded the skies a little, but maybe that was just her imagination.

"RAGIN!" Holly said, "And how do you feel about that?"

"Yes...how do you feel about that?" Natalie asked in the air of a councellor.

Eliza smiled.
"Well kids, I think that Father and Uncle should sort out their differences... That's why I'm fighting too."

"Oh," Holly said, not understanding anything, "But on the upside, we all have ice cream,"

"Yay!' Eliza said, and ate hr ice-cream in two big bites. "I love ice-cream.' She explained, and wiped her mouth daintily.

Holly grinned at the comparision in the way Eliza had eaten, and then wiped her mouth. In fact, she began to laugh, and George sighed, because he foresaw a huge laughing fit coming on.

"That was...cool," she said to Eliza, though weird was really the word for eating an ice-cream that big in two bites.

Holly grinned again.
"So nerd, I hear you were made prefect. We were all very surprised, were you?"

Violet walked in with Shaeman. "Do you want vanilla, strawberry, or chocolate?" She asked him.

Shaeman bit his lip.
"I don't know."

"I want strawberry." Violet told the man. "Get vainlla." Violet said. "The chocolate may be a bit to strong."

Shaeman noded and ordered.

Violet grabbed her ice cream and Shaemans as the man gave them to them. "Thank you." She said walking to a table.

Shaeman followed, unsure of what he was going to try.

Violet set his down and sat her down. "Use your spoon and just try it," She said, swallowing hers.

Shaeman nodded, tasting it. He jumped a bit as he felt the cold, but soon got used to it.

Violet laughed. "I love you, you know that?" She asked, taking another bit of hers.

"And I you." Shaeman said. "I could quote Shakespeare for you, but I prefer the direct approach."

"Whose he?" Violet asked. "A muggle or something?" She asked taking another bit.

"A great muggle playwright who wrote some of the most romantic lines in muggle histroy." Shaeman explained.

"Oh." Violet said, taking another bit. "He sounds weird." she said.

"I've read quite a few of his plays. They're not bad." Shaeman said.

Violet nodded. "So, do you like your ice cream?" She asked, taking a bite of his.

Shaeman nodded.

Violt finsihed hers and looked over at his. "Didnt eat much did ya?" She asked.

"I'm not used to cold." Shaeman explained.
