Vampire Afterlife Debate

Welll, I guess it'd depend on what you believe happens to humans in the afterlife.

For me, I don't think there is anything...I think we simply just die. So I believe the same for the vampires, I guess. It's not something I've ever really considered when reading the books.

Hopefully our heroes won't have to worry about it either!

Well I've got an influenced view on this of course, but who doesn't XD

I think it all depends on the same things that it depends on for humans really, which is up to interpretation because everyone has different views on that as well XD

I think it all depends on how you lived your life... like the cullens, and the other coven in Denali, I believe they have a chance.
None of the vampires wanted to be a monster, but they are. and they have two choices: embrace it and try to stay good, or accept it and kill someone like you once were.
The volturi has no chance to make it to heaven, since they obviously lure in and kill the innocent.
Thats just what I think though. I think that also if you do kill someone, then vampires could fix it with good deeds... but there is a limit to that.
So they go into the after life like we do: Heaven or H ~ e ~ double hockeysticks.

I think that they should have the same chance as humans to go to heaven or "down there" and i think the Cullens will got to heaven because there intentions are pure and I think if you have good intentions thats all that matters because in almost everycase you can't help what you are, but what you make of it.

Well I personally believe in an afterlife. Because if this is as good as it gets than I need to be eating a lot more ice cream and working a lot less. As far as the books are concerned I believe that Meyer thinks there is an afterlife for them. If you consider Carlisle the voice of morality and reason then it stands to reason there is an afterlife, even for vampires, simply because he believes it. Arguments could even be made that Carlisle is a Christ like figure... but I'm not going there. Meyer herself is a devout Morman, but I am grateful that she doesn't beat the reader over the head with religion.
