Hollys House

Holly slammed down on the cold ground.
She looked up. They had indeed, landed in her old kitchen. And it was just as she had remembered.

"Sorry about the landing." Shadow said, having landed silently on her feet.

"Thats alright," Holly said quickly, standing up.
She looked around a little more.
There was the stove her mother had cooked on. The table in which her father had sat to read the Sunday paper.
It was just the same.
Holly felt almost at home for a whole minute, and then she remembered why she was here.
"George?" she called, "George are you here?"
There was no reply.

Shadow glanced at Holly, knowing how she felt. Pushing those thoughts to the back of her mind, she mentally scanned the house for any sign of George.

"GEORGE!" Holly called a little louder, "IF YOURE IN HERE PLEASE-"
Holly stopped dead.
From the crack in the open door she could see a cloaked figure hobbling down the stairs.
She quickly pushed Shadow back a little into the ..... well.... shadows, and held her breath.

Shadow glanced at Holly before moving out again, shadowing (ahem...) the cloaked figure silently.

((shadowing?? whats that mean then?? lol))

Holly pulled out her wand and aimed it at the figure, who was drifting...into the kitchen.

((It's a bit like following, as if being said person's... shadow...))

Shadow followed silently before leaping, tackling the figure to the ground.

(((OOOOOH YEAH LMAO SORRY, I GET IT NOW))

Holly dodged over, and cast a spell so that ropes bound the figure's limbs together.
"Who are you? What are you doing my house?" she yelled at him.

Shadow stood up once the figure was bound, straightening her cloak. She waited for an answer.

The figure coughed and Holly repeated the question.
"W-who are you more like?" the figure choked, and looked at Holly, "B-Bristol?"
Holly looked uncertain.
"How do you know me?" she asked suspisiously.
"We were sent here after your folks copped out," he replied, "To keep an aye on the-"
Holly had backed off after seeing the mans wrist.
"LIAR!" she spat.
The man had a dark mark.
"Wheres George?" Holly asked slowly.

Shadow hissed when she saw the mark. She backed away, summoning her magic.
"Where is he, before I send you some where you really don't want to be." She spat, her eyes flashing.

The man wriggled around, trying to get free.
"G-George?" he asked, "I dont know any George!"
"Course you do!" Holly hissed, "Spider monkey- yay high- black and white- answers to-"
She stopped again, for one of the mans hands had become free.
And he had touched his dark mark.
Holly swore and backed off, shielding Shadow.
If anyone died, it would be her fault.

Shadow hissed in pain, grabbing her left arm.

"W-whats wrong Shadow?" Holly asked, frightened.

Shadow pulled her sleeve up to show a bandage on her left arm. Biting her lip, she took it off to show the dark mark.

Holly stared at her.
For the longest moment there was silence, and when Holly opened her mouth to speak- the man on the floor had all the ropes off of him.
He clutched around for his wand and pointed it directly at Shadow.
"Ah- Roth- we meet again,"
When there was silence he said, "Dont you remember me Roth? Carven Jazeed? Voldemorts right hand man,"

"Yeah, I remember, the night I was captured." Shadow spat. She glanced at Holly. "I'm sorry."

Holly did not respond.
Jazeed lowered his wand and pointed it insted, straight at Holly's chest.
"Here to help finish the Bristol's off Roth?" he asked grinning.
Holly fumbled around numbly for her wand, but she could not locate it quick enough.

"Not quite." Shadow said.

The man looked confused.
"Oh you havent gone all goody on us have you?" he sighed, "Well no matter- i can deal with you after this ones gone,"
Jazeed thought for a moment and then said, "Actually, probably best we let the Bristol watch you go first,"
Holly had a split seconds warning.
The man aimed, and had the word Avada out, but Holly dove across, knocking Shadow down in the process.
The mans curse hit the back wall and backfired on him, not killing him, but knocking him out.

Shadow stood up, shaking. She helped Holly to her feet.
"Thank you."

Natalie appeared beside the pair.

"Ow...that hurt," she said, slaming down on the floor, "did you find Geprge yet?" she asked, taking out her wand.

She saw the man on the floor.

"Jeez...well there was no need to shot him" Natalie said.

Shadow shook her head.

Holly nodded once and drew back.
She took a deep breath.
"So....when were you gonna tell me?" she said in a hollow voice.

Natalie whipped around.

"Who's there?" she called, pointing her wand into the darkness.

"Holly, please, don't hate me for this..." Shadow said, bowing her head.

"Oh...its only you Holly...you sounded different" Natalie laughed.

Shadow looked up at Natalie, wondering what she would say.

Holly swallowed and stared at Shadow.
"Do you wanna explain or....,"
Holly took another few steps back, and sunk into one of the kitchen chairs, staring at the man on the ground.

Shadow bowed her head again.
"If you want me to, I will."

Natalie saw the dark mark on Shadow's arm.

"Oh....Shadow....SHADOW!" said Natalie, "your not...your not...."

Shadow nodded solemnly.

"I want you to," Holly said softly, "Go on"

Shadow nodded.
"It wasn't my choice. I was captured. There are only three known half-demons in this dimension, and Voldemort wanted at least one on his side."

"But youre not on his side?" Holly asked, hoping for a no.

Shadow shook her head.
"Not by choice."

Holly nodded but then stopped and sighed.
"Why didnt you tell me?" she asked, "I thought we were.....you know.....like best mates,"

"Hardly anyone knows." Shadow said. "I hate it,and I wish it never happened."

Holly looked up for the first time.
Here she was, thinking how awful the fact was on HER. how bad must it be on SHADOW?
Holly stood up and walked towards her.
"I....I guess theres good death eaters too.....,"

Shadow shrugged, not making eye contact with Holly.

Holly swallowed digesting the information.
"Are you alright?" she murmured.

"Depends." Shadow said, wrapping the bandage back over the Mark.

"Well...we'll still be your friends...no matter what happens," said Natalie, looking Shadow in the eye.

"I don't deserve it." Shadow said softly.

"You've saved us numerous times...you do deserve it," said Natalie

"I don't. I'm half demon, and this..." She gestured towards her arm. "... Just adds to it."

"To me...its just an ugly tattoo...no matter what dark magic is contained inside of it." said Natalie.

"It still marks me, and with this, he can track me down. He might order me to kill you." She said softly.

"He can track me down anyway...he can smell a mudblood a mile off," said Natalie miserably.
