HEBB2 - CHALLENGE 23: Memories of the Past

To pass the task:

* You are only allowed SIX fails, which means any more than 6 housemates not completing the task, you will fail.

This challenge is allowing more fails than usual to begin the HEBB experience

housepoints to be added. PM them, post in the HEBB chat thread or anything else you can think of!

This 23rd task will be open until Saturday 10th May (gmt pm)

Housepoints

If the task has been successfully passed, 5000 housepoints will be added to the base housepoints

If
the task is a fail (6 or more members do not post their challenge) then 300 housepoints will be lost from the base housepoints

Each housemate that participates will also be awarded 100 housepoints each

THE CHALLENGE

Many of you were here for the 1st HEBB and many of you were not. Many of you knew the winner of the last HEBB and if you never got to meet her, you might have read about her around HE recently.

Brunette, otherwise known as Holly, was the winner of the very 1st HEBB. Like everything she did, she played a huge part in that 1st event and deserved to win.

This challenge is not only to remember the last winner, but also to remember Holly as she sadly passed away only a few months ago.

Your challenge is to create something of your choice in memory of Holly winning HEBB1. It can be anything from a banner to a poem - it is your choice.

We learned about Ciliquies in Church today so heres on for holly...

God whispered through the branches of Holly
Saying it’s your time to go. You lived a peaceful
Life, but my child, I need you with me. You will be healed
and cured and look down at the world of beauty among us.
Your life was like a shining star,
Brightening up our worlds,
But when the angels came and carried you away,

Ok I didnt know her, never talked to her, or anything. But I had this poem I wrote for a class for her because I dont think I could make a banner or write another poem. So if this doesnt count, let me know.

I decided to do a drabble (I had to use my imagination, of course)...

Holly sat in the living room, anxiously waiting to find out who had won Hogwarts Experience Big Brother. She had worked hard creating graphics, making dolls, and so much more. She had done so many challenges she couldn’t even remember them all. There had been drama in the house, as well as fun. It had felt so good to get away from all her troubles and pour so much energy into the work this event had taken. All the stuff outside the house had melted away in the fights, laughter, and tears. Now they were down to the final vote among the eleven remaining. Would her work pay off?

I just wanted to add something. I didn't get the chance to really know Holly. I wish I had, though. After I found out that she had passed away, I remembered that I had once spoken to her, but couldn't remember what it had been about. So, I looked her up, and when I saw her avatar I remembered. I had loved that bloody thing, and had to tell her that. I don't remember how I went about it--whether it was in Rate the Avatar or if it was just as a parenthetical statement in another post (is parentetical the correct word?). Anyway, it's not very often that I see a post by her, but sometimes if I'm researching into past threads like I did for this drabble, I sometimes find her. It's nice to think that she'll always be here in that sense.

Despite the fact that I never really knew her, I was sad when I heard. I have been hesitant to say anything because I know that sometimes people can get peeved when someone mourns another person they barely knew. But, I'm not sad for her. That would be selfish because she's in so many ways better off now than she was (at least I believe she is since I have faith in life after death). No, instead I mourn for the people left behind who don't get to directly experience the joy she was able to bring into their lives. I can't say I'll miss her, true, but I can say that I'm sure I'll miss something never having gotten to know her. And she will definitely be missed.

this poem is really sad. i took it from a website called 100-poems.com. i feel it fits perfectly for Holly, and my relationship with her. She's in a better place, even if we don't want to believe it. R.I.P.

Well I suck at writing poetry and so I made a banner - I hope this is okay:
