If You Were A Painting

As your Arts Prefect, a job of mine is to create classes here. And so, without further ado...

In this class you will pretend that you are one of the paintings that cover the walls of Hogwarts. As we know, these paintings come from very different places and artists, and all tell a different story. What your assignment is is to tell your story. Here's what I'm looking for:

Part One

Find a painting to be in! This can be made through a graphic design program or found online. If you decide to make the "painting" you don't have to put an actual picture of yourself in. Just make sure that there's a person! Also, if you've made it please say so that I can give you more points.

Part Two

This is the writing section of this assignment. In 150 words or more I would like you to tell your painting's history. Here are some elements that you should try and fit in:

- What is your painting's name?
- What artist painted you?
- Where are you located in Hogwarts?
- Where have you been besides Hogwarts?
- What is the story that your painting tells?
- How does it feel to be a painting? What do you do?
- Anything else you'd like to add!

In this section, I am looking for quality more than quantity - the more creative the better! I will be looking at word length, but that's not as important as what is included.

Part 2
The name of my painting is Lonely Girl
I was painted by Gideon Crumb before he pursued his life as a bagpipe player for the Weird Sisters; He was a talented artist who sadly gave up painting after his idea's for a fire breathing dragon painting, didn't sell.
I, the Lonely Girl Painting am located outside the library on the second floor. Two Corridors on the left from the Charms class.
I been no other place besides Hogwarts.
My painter, painted me for the Ravenclaw House in late September of 1992.
While I have had no other home then Hogwarts; I have had the privilege of being hung on the wall in the Ravenclaw tower from 1992-1998.
I was moved after I informed the Head of
Ravenclaw tower that I would rather be
stationed somewhere, where I could relax more, rather then keep moving.
I have been in the library corridor from 1998-until now.
My painting tells the story of Sarah Catherine.
A Lonely Ravenclaw girl.
She fell in love with the Headboy of Hogwarts while she was a student.
When he left Hogwarts he was killed in a tragic broom riding accident.
Sarah never got over the death of her first love.
She died a lonely girl with a broken heart.
Its actually very entertaining to be a painting.
I get to travel all over the castle, and talk with the students sometimes.
I always get to know all the newest gossip just has it happens!
The best part of all is helping lonely girls get over their own heartbreak, or seeing happy couples maybe sneak a kiss under the mistletoe.

This painting is called Stephenie’s Lost Mind. In this picture it shows me (we all know that I’m Stephenie Meyer) and I am sitting there trying to think of a story to write. The artist Randove Nannymicker painted me while he was waiting for his train to come into Hogsmeade. The painting was painted when we were both in the Room of Requirment. Randove thought of what he wanted the background to be and when he entered this room he got what he asked for. This paiting is hanging in the Ravenclaw Common Room. It was placed there because it helps to inspire the Ravenclaws to be creative and take time to think things through. This painting is only found in Hogwarts and nowhere else. It feels great to be in a painting that is inspirational to students. I am glad that a painting like this is able to influence Ravenclaws and any future Ravenclaws that will be placed into that house.

What is your painting's name?
My painter named me sonría y risa. It is a spanish term which in english means smile and laugh.

What artist painted you?
I was inspired by the creative mind of Demika Serena Rodriguez or as she signs on the bottom corner DemiRod

Where are you located in Hogwarts?
There have been so many places that I have moved from. As of now I am located by the Hospital Wing. I've seen alot of injuries and some that will make you cringe. Usually if the person in agony is concsious I like to crack jokes or make them laugh. Let me tell you, it is not an easy job. These people have no sense of humor when it comes to being hurt. You'd think they'd learn to laugh to help balance the pain. They know nothing.

Where have you been besides Hogwarts?
I did get the privilage to stay at the home of my creator for quite some time. That is until I was taken or brought by a high strung individual by the name of Gilderoy Lockheart. Very obnoxious fellow, although he was handsome. He said he needed a bit of humor in his life, but I loved to tease him mercilessly. Most probably the reason as to why he so anxiously stashed me in Snape's Office. Those dingy dungeons will get to you after a while. Before I knew it I had been in storage and then brought out to be hung by the Hospital Wing.

What is the story that your painting tells?
Apparently, I'm clumsy. My painter created me after her friend feel from her bed. Silly really, but that is my story. Wonderful and very interesting, huh? It's okay if you fall asleep, but my jokes will make up for it.

How does it feel to be a painting? What do you do?
It has it's ups and downs. Of course, I can't do what people can do. Sometimes, I'm required to stay in frame. Usually for the first week of school so the little first years can get adjusted and used to using moving and talking paintings. Sometimes, I hang back with my neighbor portrait, who is actually quite glumy. I do it out of kindness. Other times, I frame hop to join Peeves one of his little rendevous.

Yes. He told me to mention him. Peeves is my best friend. I jump through other paintings to torment.

My painting is called the day dreamer.
I was originally painted by a Ravenclaw student in the early 1960's who was much of a daydreamer herself.
I'm located in the girls dormarty one above a painting of an awfully friendly cat, and two to the left of a lonely old women who can tell you quite a sad love story.
I've never left my wall, in fear I have only journeyed the paintings close by.
The girl who painted me dreamed and hoped to see much of the world. In love, she wanted to share the world. But my artist was scared, she wanted to explore with her soulmate but was much to afraid to even fall in love. Aside from Hogwarts my Ravenclaw student artist, had never left her home town. I assume she never expected the girl in her painting to be just as much of a coward. I felt her emotion of fear as she created me. She left that fear with me, and moved forward in her life. That scared Ravenclaw first year died of courageous actions fighting in Dumbledores Army. I have yet to toss my fear. I leave my exploration in my daydreams.
It's nice being a painting, no one judges me. I can be quiet, or load. I'm a painting, people find me beautiful no matter how ugly the creation. I am art.
