Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is a 43-minute musical film produced exclusively for Internet distribution. It tells the story of Dr. Horrible, the aspiring supervillain alter ego of Billy; Captain Hammer, his nemesis; and Penny, their mutual love interest. The movie was written by writer/director Joss Whedon, his brothers Zack Whedon (a television writer) and Jed Whedon (a composer), and Jed's fiancée, actress Maurissa Tancharoen. The writing team penned the musical during the WGA writers' strike. The idea was to create something small and inexpensive, yet professionally done, in a way that would circumvent the issues that were being protested during the strike.

I'm watching this at the moment and I have to say that so far, it's hilarious and very good!

Anything Joss Whedon is involved with is going to be good - and this, the musical tale of Doctor Horrible and Captain Hammer is no different. It stars Nathan Fillion (Mal in Firefly, Caleb in Buffy), Neil Patrick Harris (HIMYM) and Felicia Day (Vi in Buffy).

Currently Dr Horrible is only available to watch online...and only if you're in the US (though obviously I have found a way around that!)

Anyone else watched it?

Yes! I got this a couple of weeks ago from iTunes. I love it! I haven't watched more than the first webisode because I wanted to save it for my 2 day trip to Virginia. Neil Patrick Harris is brilliant! He's come a looooooong way from Doogie Howser, MD. XD

I've watched it a couple more times since my last post... I love it :D

The songs are catchy and keep getting stuck in my head. I think Nathan Fillion is just hilarious as Captain Hammer XD
