The correct term for palm reading is chiromancy or cheiromancy, which is the study of applying the lines in the palm to forsee the future and spiritual beings. The earliest palm readings are traced back to the magical gypsy fortune tellers. Yet it is still used now in modern times by people all over the world.

According to chiromancy, a palm has three major lines that link to a person’s future. These lines are called the heart line, the head line, and the life line. The heart line is the line that is directly under your fingers, at the top of your palm. This represents all issues that occures with the heart, whether it is life or feelings. Many believe that this line can show perspective mates, success in love, romantic stability, and even compatibilty. The second line underneath the heart line is the life line. This line flows right across your palm and starts off connected to you life line (the last line). The head line is said to show how your mind works as well as descrbing your personality. This line shows the thoughts, knowledge, learning style, and whether you are creative or not. The last and foremost major line is the life line. This line is the third line that is the last line on your palm, connecting from the beginning of the head line to your wrist. This line shows about your health. Rather then showing how long your life will be as some people believe, this line only shows your health, injuires that will happen, and major life changes. The length of the life line does not reflect on how long your life would be in any way.

There are other minor lines on your palm that can reflect important matters in your life. If a person has a simian crease on their palm, a line that links the heart and head lines, then this shows that he has a tendency to act before they think. This line shows carelessness and impulse. Another line that shows your future is the fate line. This line starts at the bottom of a person’s palm and ends right under their middle finger. The line shows all the personal decisions, consequences, as well as situations that are beyond his control.
