POST RESTRICTION LIFTED!!!!!

We brought in a rule a while back about a 5 line rule in the great hall due to immense spamming, though after many debates, discussions and the sheer cheek of some members We are now lifting this rule!

This means that there is no longer any post count restrictions here in the great hall.

One thing I do ask of you though, and I hope that you will all keep to this as I have been kind enough to give you back your old forum, is that you do not spam. No one word posts or silly replies such as a post with only 'lol'

And with that said, I hereby remove the restrictions

Just remember, just because there is no longer a rule, doesnt mean that spamming is allowed. Etta will still delete one worder or spamming posts (that is if she hasnt murdered me by then lol)

Oh, and I may not have all those threads by tonight cause I just realized how many were actually there. Couldnt we just clean the whole thing out. Cause there are alot of them.

There is one thing I can do, though you and everyone who use this forum would have to tell me whether it would work or not...

I can put a filter on this forum which would automatically clear threads from the forum every month or so which havent been posted in for a certain length of time. People would not lose their post count though threads would just vanish. If I did this, any posts that are filtered can not be returned so please think carefully before telling me to go ahead. You all know this forum better than me so I leave this decision up to everyone here

I would like that, but I know Hannah and Lucy wouldnt because of old threads with Jen. I think we can deicide tomorrow. Because it is really crowded in the Great hall.

Couldn't they be moved to the Locked Threads sections so you can go and re-read them..?

I sent a list of threads into Elfie for being locked and moved. She has agreed to do this but we all have big desicion!!!!

Now me and Matt agree with this because this forum is really crowded but some dont. So we all need to make this decidion on this. Also, if you have thread you dont want locked and moved, you need to contact Elfie because I sent four pages worth of old threads no one was posting in.

Now, i say Delete all the old posts, if you guys loved them so much you'd still be using them, or if that's not possible, you would copy and paste them into word or whatever and save them to your PC instead of creating more work for Elfie to do by having her lock and move them.

I and some other are using PHPBB, and Elfie, i thought the filter would send the threads to the forum you want to put them in.

I was so happy when the post restriction was set in place. I had thought that it meant that I would be able to comfortably RP with some of you. I cannot stand one liners. They are seriously the worst things to reply to.

Still, though this rule has been lifted, I think you all should attempt to write more. Not only would it make others want to RP with you, but it will also help you in the long run. I receive a lot more compliments on my writing since I started pushing myself in RP.

Just my thought on the matter. *shrugs*

:tacklehuggles cat-fart: I agree, I liked the restriction personally. Even though five lines is still to short for me, then again I'm a post freak xDD The way I see it is if I'm RPing I'm trying to improve my writing skills, and one or two lines really isn't helping me grow as a writer. Yeah making longer posts means thinking a bit more, but if you just keep working at it eventually you will get to the point where making posts with five paragraphs is easy. -snorts- I'm lucky now if I can make my post go under a thousand words now. (Drive everyone like Cat bonkers )

I agree with Cat and everyone else who said it, rule or no rule everyone should still make an attempt at keeping their posts a decent length. I don't really RP much on here because I go into some threads and see one sentence posts and just cringe and close them and find something else to do. Or at least maybe if you see people who are posting longer posts try to keep your posts equal to what they are posting. -shrugs- That's always an idea. At least that will avoid people responding with one sentences to those posting in paragraph form.
