I'd had an idea of what (or should I say, who) to get you for Christmas, and he's very glad to be here as well! So, yes, when I was asking you who should be his pb I wasn't planning on making graphics just for fun. I was making sure I'd get your perfect Ramsey! Naturally, it had to be the perfect present since you're the perfect friend. You know I love, love, love you, and so I'm wishing you the happiest Christmastime you've ever had! Of course, next year I'll wish the same, but still, make this a great one, honey.

And this next part wasn't originally going to be here, but being in Windows Movie Maker so much this morning fixing the videos to send to you got me thinking, and so I present to you: another Fated Mishaps video! But this one's different :D Takes place at the end, and is about how everyone's sad that Toni left, and how she...well, I'll let you watch it and figure the rest out for yourself.

Fated Mishaps: Secret Santa Edition

Okay, video making is fun :D

I made another! This one is Sara Bareilles' song "Fairytale" with our characters! Yes, they love their partners, but I've had this idea for a while and wanted to see if it could work...and I like it, so hopefully you will too!

Fairytale: Closet Style

And now for the part you've been waiting for. The story! *ahems*

“Brodick, are you sure we’ve come the right way?”

“You dare doubt my navigational skills, Ramsey?”

“I’m only saying that this doesn’t look at all how Lady Elana described it,” Ramsey said, looking up at the house with a look of doubt clouding his features. The house was like nothing any of the men had ever seen. It was covered in multicolored lights that twinkled, lighting up the otherwise dark night; a man in a red suit (definitely English) was standing perilously close to the chimney and glowing; and the yard had a larger-than-life inflated snowman and a family of deer made out of white wood and lit up by colored lights. It was most strange, but no stranger than the others near it. The contrast between their keeps and these dwellings was incredible. They weren’t even made of stone! But there were lights shining through the glass windows, and they could see shadows darting along in some of them. Could it be?

“That’s probably because m’lady hadn’t seen it all decorated,” said Alec Frasier reasonably. Alec Kincaid and Gabriel nodded in assent. (Yes, it’d been mighty confusing on the way there, what with two Alecs.)

“Ah, right,” Ramsey replied. “Iain,” he said, turning to his friend - but the man wasn’t there. Puzzled, Ramsey looked around and saw the Maitland already to the front door. He laughed and hurried to catch up with him, the others following close behind.

“You act as though you haven’t seen her in years,” Gabriel said, still chuckling as he clapped Iain on the shoulder.

“She’s my wife,” Iain replied simply. “And no, it hasn’t been years, but it’s been a while, all right? She’s had tests and we had that feud with the Macleans…it’s been a busy few months.”

“I know what you mean,” said Brodick with a sigh. “It’s been so long since we’ve seen Lady Jenn.”

The men exchanged a look, and all of a sudden everyone was reaching for the doorknob. The door was pushed open, handle thankfully intact even after the scuffle, and the men piled in. From a room off of the hallway they were in, they heard a small squeak and a mug quickly being set down.

“I’ll be right back Jenn, okay? I…I think I forgot my, erm, knitting in my room.”

“’K, I’ll pause it and make some popcorn while you get your knitting.”

“No!” The lairds could hardly contain their laughs at the girl’s voice shooting up so many octaves. Unnatural, really. “No need to get up, dear, I’ll pop a bag in the microwave and then nip upstairs.”

“If you insist.”

“I do,” Elana said vehemently. “Don’t go slipping into Narnia while I’m gone. See you in a minute.”

“But that’s where Ben is,” Jenn murmured wistfully, looking lovingly at the TV screen on which the movie had been, luckily, paused on his face.

Elana nearly sprinted out of the room in her eagerness to get into the hallway. She was hit with a blast of cold air (they’d forgotten to close the door) and a few crushing hugs. Trying desperately not to laugh, she found herself in Iain’s arms at the end, and let her joyous smile show across his mocking one.

“Since when did you take up knitting?”

“Oh hush, you, it was the first thing I could think of.”

“I’ve missed you, too,” he said, smile changing from teasing to loving before he planted a kiss on her lips.

“Get a room, you two,” muttered Brodick, shoving past the married couple. With a suppressed yelp, Elana reached out and grabbed his plaid, fiercely shaking her head.

“Let me go back in first,” she whispered, edging around him, pulling Iain with her by the hand. “She’ll freak if she sees you and Iain and Ramsey and Alec and Gabriel…” She quickly got up on tip toe to make sure she’d gotten them all, and gave a satisfied nod. “Wow, you really did listen and bring everyone. Thanks, darling,” she said gratefully, smiling up at Iain.

“Of course, anything to make Jenn’s holiday.”

“Wait,” she said suddenly, her eyes narrowing into slits. “Where’s Gavin? If you were able to get Alec, why couldn’t he come?”

Iain laid a reassuring hand on her shoulder as he said, “I’m sorry, love, he couldn’t make it.”

“Okay,” she said, shoulders slumping as she sighed. Brightening abruptly, she quickly said, “Guys, just give me a minute and then you can come in. But wait until I give the signal!”

She flitted back into the room, without knitting needles or yarn, and utterly popcornless.

“And the signal would be…?” Gabriel asked under his breath, shaking his head. Alec crossed his arms over his chest and leaned against the wall, trying to not let this waiting bother him. But they’d come all this way to see Jenn, surely they could wait a little longer.

“Close one about Gavin,” Ramsey muttered, nudging Iain in the side with his elbow.

Brodick gave a muffled laugh and said, “Don’t worry, we won’t tell her. But it’s a shame to hide such a great story…”

Gabriel and Alec (Kincaid) grabbed Iain’s arms before he could land a blow on either of his friends’ faces, and they all grew hushed as their attention was diverted towards the living room.

“Sorry, Jenn, totally forgot I don’t knit,” Elana explained cheerily before rambling on. “I used to because I hate having my hands still while watching movies, but then stopped and now have no idea how…”

There was a slight pause in which Ramsey smiled, picturing the exasperated look Jenn must be having, and then she replied, “Did you forget how to make popcorn too, you goof? Don’t worry, I can get it.”

“Oh, dear, right, sorry! Maybe it’d be good if you got some…right NOW!”

“Geeze, no need to yell! I’m going, I’m going.”

During this conversation, the lairds had inched up the hallway; Iain could now see inside the living room. Elana leaned back in her chair so she could see out the doorway and, spying Iain, hysterically motioned for him and the others to come in. Seeing another of Jenn’s exasperated looks aimed in her direction, she smiled sweetly and said innocently, “There was a bee.”

“Elana, it’s the middle of winter and we’re inside,” said Jenn calmly and slowly, as if explaining to a child as she got up from her chair. “There’s no way a bee could be in here.”

“Just like there’s no way I could’ve gotten Iain to come all the way here for Christmas?” Elana asked, pouting.

“Exactly,” said Jenn, patting her friend on the head as she passed her on her way out. “I’m sorry that his cell wasn’t getting service so he didn’t know you’d be here, but we’ll have a good Christmas just the two of us. Besides, you know how he hates airplanes.” Before she had taken two steps, she had bumped into a wall of different colored plaids. Not believing it, she looked up and gasped. She counted them and, and, and – they were all there! Lacing her fingers through Ramsey’s, she turned to Elana, her mouth gaping open.

“Oh my God!” Elana exclaimed, mock surprised at their sudden arrival. “It’s a Christmas miracle!”

“Right,” said Jenn, rolling her eyes. “Thanks Santa,” she said, stressing the word as she glanced at Elana.

“Had to make this the best Christmas ever,” she replied, grinning. “This seemed like a fun way. Oh, and for future reference, airplanes aren’t the only way to get from the Highlands to the US,” she said, winking at the guys. While they laughed, she sang, “Bye bye, Ben,” under her breath as she grabbed the remote and turned of the TV. A grin identical to hers on his face, Iain walked over to her, picked her up and settled down in the armchair with her. The others followed, taking seats on the couch (It wasn’t as if they could all fit on a chair! Way too many!) with Jenn smack dab in the middle and looking mighty happy. With Ramsey on one side, Brodick on the other, and the Alecs and Gabriel on their sides, she couldn’t have been more pleased. And, by their adoring looks, they couldn’t be either. The rest of the evening was spent with playful banter, sharing humorous stories along with making new stories to tell, drinking hot chocolate and eating popcorn, and just having an all around jolly good time.

The next week was filled with weddings and renewed vows (all with flowers and in proper chapels), and, my friends, the rest is another story for another time.

I sat here for ages at my computer trying to think of the most awesomest gift ever to get you... but all my brain did was draw a blank... so now Im just going to give you a whole bunch of stuff and hope that you like at least one of them XD

First thing's first... I have had many of the first years spend their first year at Hogwarts building a sataue of you. Many of them complained throughout the entire process of it being made but in the end they finally finished it and I hope that you like it. SECRET SANTA STOCKING! 436937
