Hunter Lawson's Hogsmeade Home

Hunter stood up from the couch and walked into the kitchen to grab a butterbeer. He popped the cap open, took a drink, and walked back into the living room, throwing the cap in the rubbish bin on his way.

Violet sighed, looking around a bit before knocking. "Hunter, are you here?" She called out softly, knocking again.

Hunter stood up and walked to his front door, having heard someone knocking. He opened the door and saw it was Violet. "Hey, Violet," he said. "Come on in."

Violet walked in, looking distressed. "My father found out...about Hernry...and me trying to murder him. Well thats why Henry told him." She told him, swallowing back her tears.

He closed the door behind her and led her to the couch, where he sat her down and sat next to her.

"Hey," he said, "don't worry. Tell him it was my idea. That Henry was knocked out when you gave me your permission. You are an excellent liar aren't you? Convince him. Voldemort can't get within 200 feet of this house, I have too many protections on it that only I can remove."

"You dont know his power." Violet said, beginning to freak out. "And he can read my mind...with this ring. And I can never take it off." She mumled, running a hand threw her hair.

"Well, we can figure something out. I know more about Voldemort than you think, and I know enough about my wards to know he does NOT have the power to break through them. Only I do. And why would I break through my own wards?"

He put his arm around her and gave her a little hug. "Don't worry, he can't touch you while you're on this property."

Violet shook her head, wanting to cry. But being a vampire prevented her to do so. Pulling a bottle from her pocket, she drank the contents quietly, bloos leaking from the side of her mouth. She wiped it quickly, puttig the bottle up.

Hunter stood up. "Do you want a demonstration of the power my wards hold within them? Will that make you feel safer?"

Violet looked up at him, but shook her head. She fiddled with her hands for a few seconds before tracing the small cross on her wrist.

Hunter was at a loss. He wanted to reassure her that she would be fine. She must really think Voldemort was all powerful. Or more likely he made her think he was.

Hunter debated with himself. He could show her that Voldemort wasn't invincible, but that might be revealing too much about himself.

Violet winced as she pressed her nail to deep into her wrist. Bringing her wrist to her mouth, she licked the blood off and healed it. "I'm sorry for coming here." She whispered, standing up.

"Why? Why are you sorry for coming here?"

"Because...now you have to stop what you are doing becuase of my stupid father." She said, pulling out her wand.

"No, I don't. You think I'm not doing what I want to be doing?" he asked. Turning to his front door, he lifted his hand and started chanting in latin. This was the only spell he had to speak to use, all the others he did in his own special way. Through the window he watched as a giant force field made of what looked like titanium began to form around the property. "You see that," he said, "that is why you're father can't touch either of us here. The wards are so strong, not even that ring of yours works here. I promise you. And if it does, I dare you to challenge him to come here. He won't make it out alive."

Violet smiled softly, walking to the couch. She sighed, sitting on it. "You really are a good friend, you know that?" She asked him, leanin her head back on the couch. She sighed, closing her eyes.

He smiled and let the spell dissipate. "I try to be," he said, sitting down next to her and picking up his butterbeer.

Violet groaned, laying her head in his lap. "I'm tired." She mumbled.

He brought his hand to her hair and began running his fingers through it. "Then go to sleep," he said.

"I dont wanna." Violet said, pouting like a baby.

"Shhh," he said, rubbing her back with one hand and running his fingers through her hair. "I'll be right here."

Volet closed her eyes, breathing softly. She fell into a small doze before screaming.

Hunter nearly jumped out of his skin when Violet suddenly screamed. "What is it?" he asked.

Violet looked around, tears in her eyes. She shook her head before wiping her eyes.

He kept rubbing small circles on her back. Probably a nightmare. "I'm here," he said.

Violet nodded, turning on her back. She looked up at him, sighing.

He stroked her forehead and started singing lightly under his breath.

Violet smiled up at him before closing her eyes again.

Hunter kept up his singing until it looked like she fell asleep, and then he dropped his head to the back of the couch, thinking he might pick up some sleep too.

Violet moved her head closer towards him, whimpering softly as her nightmare came back/

He hugged Violets head to him, whispering words of comfort, trying to help her fight off the nightmares. Unfortunately his wards didn't prevent her mind from messing with her, just Voldemort.

Violet started crying in her sleep, trying to fight Henry and her father from her.

"Shhh," he whispered, "it's okay, I'm right here." He started singing again, hoping it would help her.

Violet stopped flinching, but it didnt stop her nightmare. She turned over on her other side, sighing in her sleep.
