You will need to score as follows:
Skill shown Team work Manoeuvres Knowledge of the game Creativity Initiative Reliability of team
Give a score out of 50 for each of the above categories. The average score will then be taken from all the the judges once i have recieved all of the scores and will be posted.

| Another point to add: I need each judges scores by the end of the following match - at least a whole day before otherwise I will have to go with the scores I have already recieved. This saves delays and confusion with the scores. | |

| When playing your house games, please concentrate on your own moves. It is up to the other person on the oposing team to react, you can not say what they will do.
Also, keep the games real.

| Subject: WHEN PLAYING QUIDDITCH... *ALL PLAYERS PLEASE READ* Fri Dec 29 2006, 12:27 | |
| When playing Quidditch it would be beneficial not only to you but to the other members of your team and the opposing team if you have read everything that has happened in the game prior to your post. If there are too many pages to read, ensure that you have at least read a few posts back. It helps the game flow better if you follow what has happened previously. For example, the following would not make sense: - Quote :
- PLAYER ON TEAM A: ::Player A flew towards the goals and scored easily. The keeper was nowhere in sight!::
PLAYER ON TEAM B: ::Keeper B turned and prevented Player A from scoring.:: This is not possible as player A has alread scored - you cannot change something that has already happened. On occasion several players post at the same time - if you notice that this has happened and play no longer makes sense, remember that you have an edit button in all your posts. Overall, remember that Quidditch is meant to be fun! Thanks everyone

| Subject: New Quidditch Rule for All Upcoming Games Tue Dec 11 2007, 11:36 | |
| To make Quidditch games more organised, we're introducing a new rule to the games.
From now on, a referee will oversee each game. The referee will usually be myself, or if I can't make it, Elfie or another mod.
The referee's role will be to officially start the game by releasing the Quidditch balls into the air.
Quidditch games are five days long. The first day of each game can be used for players arriving onto the pitch, and the general RPG that usually precedes play. At the end of the first day, the referee will come onto the pitch and officially release the balls into the air, after which normal play can begin for the following four days.
Play cannot begin until the referee has released the balls. If you notice for any reason that by the end of the first day, the referee hasn't posted, feel free to send a nagging PM!
If you have any questions about this new rule, don't hesitate to ask!

| As of term five, commentators will now be scored out of 50 for their participation in matches. Judges - please take note of this! | |

| ADDITIONAL RULES FOR MOVES (As Edited from Streams of Silver)
1) If you NAME your loop (move) - say, you call it the Drunk Badger or the Confused Eagle, it becomes an ESTABLISHED MOVE. Official moves earn you more points than regular loops or dives. Also, it isn't enough to say that you looped around a couple times. Describe your move. For example:
Confused Eagle (for chasers): Shout 'Oh dear Merlin, what's that?!' to an opposing player. Player is distracted momentarily. Loop around them first clockwise, then counter-clockwise, as if you can't make up your mind. Keep shouting and looping. Then grab the Quaffle when the opposing player's grip slackens due to bewilderment.
Then of course, there are the oldies but goodies, like the Sloth Grip Roll, Starfish and Stick, etc. But it isn't enough just to name the maneuver. Describe it. For example, if you're going to be using the Sloth Grip Roll, describe how you're hanging upside down, blood rushing to your head and you're getting dizzy, but the bludger whistles by right where your head was, previously to the roll. You've saved yourself from the bludger, but now you need to struggle to right yourself on your broom . . .
Describing the official maneuvers you choose makes for a much more interesting game, and when it comes to judging 'Maneuvers', descriptive ones will earn you more points.
2) It would save time if when performing a maneuver, you bolded the name, so that it is easily seen by judges. To guarantee that the judges will see it, bold the name of the maneuver. It's not that hard.
