Arrival of a new student

Shadow appeared with Shaeman in the outsirts of the Forbidden Forest, a small boy appearing with them, holding tightly onto Shaeman's arm. The boy had his eyes squeezed shut, but he slowly opened them to look around. Shadow looked down at him, smiling softly.
"Don't worry Cika, we'll be here, and I'm sure you'll find friends within the school." She mrmured to him reassuringly.
"But what if they find out that I only have the magic that Shaeman gave me?" He asked, worry creeping into his icy blue eyes.
"Don't worry about that."

Heath walked out of the grounds, It was late, but he was a dare devil, just like his father. He saw some people satnd at the edge of the forest he quickly ran behind a pillar to let the people past. He didn't want them to see him and go and tell his head of house.

Cika was looking around warily, and he spotted something darting behind a pillar. He stopped, looking at it. Shadow and Shaeman also turned to look, throwing questionning glances at each other before going to investigate. All three of them had their swords drawn, even though Cika looked uneasy about wielding his own blade.

Heath stood behind the pillar, not really sure what was going on
"leave me alone," he managed to squeek through his high pitched panic.

"Who are you?" Shaeman challenged, his eyes narrowed and blade at the ready. Shadow also had her two short swords poised for battle, but Cika hung back, the point of his blade lowered. He had seen the lengths his family would go to protect him and each other, but he thought that they were going a bit far now.

"heat" he squeeked "Heath Carton.." He was really scared by this point... what where those people doing in his school with blades in their hands

"Shadow, Shaeman?" Cika asked in a very small voice. The two demons turned slightly to him, realising thair actions and sheathing their blades again. They were facing a normal enough student, not a Demon Hunter or anyhting of the sort. Shaeman put a hand on Cika's shoulder, starting to continue their walk towards the castle once more.

Heath saw them walk away then ran on into the grounds to go explore

Violet let go of the animal she had, wiping the blood from her mouth. She sighed, looking around. Seconds later, her eyes snapped towards a first year, who looked a bit scared. "Hmm..." She mumbled, following him.

Cika looked around again, certain that someone was watching him. It was that prickly feeling that often had happened in the children's home, where they were just waiting for you to do something out of turn. He could smell something cloying, something dead. He tugged on Shadow's cloak again.
"I don't like it here..." He murmured. "It's like there's always someone following you..."
Shadow looed around, violet gaze searching every shadow, until she found the thing that was troubling her nephew. One corner of her mouth twisted upwards in a half smile.
"Violet. Violet Riddle..."

Violet's head turned towards where she heard a voice coming from. She looked at them for a few seconds before a smile formed on her face. "Shadow.." She whispered, running towards her.

"Hello Violet," Shadow said, smiling more. Shaeman watched them.
"Violet," He murmured, his pale face lighting up at the sight of her.

Violet hugged Shadow before turning to Shaeman. She nodded once his way before looking at Shadow again. "I didnt think you were ever going to come back." She said softly, fiddling with her cloak.

"We ran into certain... Difficulties... Back in Synairn." Shadow said with a slight grimace, "Not to mention that the famile's expanded even more." She glanced back at Cika as one example. "Not to mention that Raven's got kids now too."

Violet shook her head, smiling. "Raven..kids..." She mumbled, looking at the other person there with them. "Well I'm glad you're back." She told them, clearing her throat a bit.

"So, what's been happening here?" Shadow asked her old friend. Cika played with the pages of the book in demonic he was carrying. He didn't know this person, and it put him on edge to be in a completely new place.

"Nothing really..." Violet said, trying to think of anything. She looked at Shaeman for a few seconds before looking back at Shadow. "What's been happen you guys?" She asked her.

"This and that, running around after prophecies and quests while trying to train the next generation of part demons." Shadow said vaguely.

"That sounds...fun." Violet said, not sure if it was or not. She took a vial from her cloak pocket, taking a sip of it to calm her nerves. "Being a vampire isnt fun at all." She mumbled to herself.

"Hm, Vrael and Archangel are having difficulties with Vampirism as well." Shadow said sympathetically.

Violet nodded, putting the vial back up. "Heredity, Breson, and Stella seem to love it." She said, sighing. "Seth doesnt though..he would rather be dead I guess." She said shrugging.

"Ok, rewind a bit here. I know who Heredity and Seth are, but the other two?" Shadow asked, confused.

"Oh..Breson and Stella, my other children...alot has changed since you guys left. But thats about it....except Phoenix had two children. Otherise..nothing interesting. But Seth and Phoenix left." She said, sighing.

Shadow nodded slowly.
"Well, in my family, Jamie and I are divorced, Raven's got her twins, Twilight and Eclipse, and Shaeman's just adopted Cika. Natalie had to convert Archangel to Vampirism"

"Oh..." Violet mumbled softly. "I take it Cika is that person." She said, pointing to the child again. She smiled at Shaeman before shakign her head. "Never thought you would adopt." She said.

"Yes, Cika is 'that person'." Shadow said.
"It's a long story. I got into a fight with someone, and I lost. Cika found me in a back street and looked after me until I was strong enough to do so myself. I grew exceedingly fond of him, so when I heard that he was in a children's home, I adopted him." Shaeman said, ruffling Cika's dark brown hair. The human boy managed a half smile as he looked up at his adoptive father.

Violet nodded, sighing. "I take it there isnt going to be an adventure this time huh?" She asked, micheif in her eyes.

"Wherever we go, there's always an adventure." Shadow said, shaking her head.

"Then that will be perfect then." Violet said, looking around. There wasnt much they could do, so she started walking a bit.

The trio walked alongside Violet, each thinking about what was happening.

Violet hummed softly to herself, looking down at her feet. From the corner of her eye, she saw something shiny and lifted her head, looking confused.

Shadow and Shaeman looked in the same direction as Violet, Shadow sniffing the air and Shaeman's eyes darting around. Cika, however, looked confused, being unable to sense things like the other two.

Violet looked at the two, shrugging. "Someone lost some jewlery." She mumbled, walking towards it.

Shadow warily walked over to it, picking up the silvery chain. She hissed in pain as the silver burned her hand, dropping it. Taking more care, she used her cloak to pick it up, wiping away some of the dirt from the amulet.
"Shaeman, look at this..." She murmured. Shaeman knelt down to take a closer look.
"Isn't that..."
"Yes, it is..."

"Is it what?" Violet asked, confused. She looked at Cika to see if he knew, but culdnt tell by his expression.

(sorry..my dog took over my lap so its hard to type...)

"It's an amulet that we read about, it'll stop the prophecy from happening..." Shadow said, standing up to face Violet, the necklace still held in her cloak.

"Oh..." She said, nodding, but not understanding. "Thats nice..I guess." She said, looking at the necklace in Shadow's cloak.

"It'll certainly stop father's mental attacks on you." Shaeman said, observing the engravings on the amulet.

"Wait...Kar is dead...we killed him." Violet said, confusion sinking in.

"He came back." Shadow said moodily.

Violet's eyes harden. "Why the hell cant he just die and be happy?" Violet asked, her angry getting the best of her.

"Beats me." Shadow said, "Although he's taken a liking to trying to break my mind before coming to finish me off."
"We thin the second part is his plan, we don't really know." Shaeman added.

Violet nodded once before sighing. "At least my father isnt trying to marry you again." Violet mumbled, playing with a ring on her hand.

"Yes, that is an upside this time." Shadow said, noticing the ring on Violet's hand and raising an eyebrow questionningly.

"Something....someone gave me." She mumbled, laying her hand back down. "Long story...really dont want to talk about it around...someone." She mumbled, sighing. "So are we going to go and kill your father again or are we going to sit here?" She asked.

Shadow sighed.
"It's not as easy as last time. Last time, he made it obvious, now, he's taking a more defensive position. We've been working on this for nearly a year, and we still haven't found his physical location."

"Then I take it we are staying here." Violet said, standing back up. "What now?" She asked softly.

"Shaeman, if I let him into my mind, could you track the influence?" Shadow asked her brother thoughtfully.
"We're not even going to try is. You nearly illed one of your own daughters last time he managed to get into your mind!" Shaeman argued.

"The only people she could kill now is me, you, and Cika..but I agree...that's a bit dangerous." Violet said softly.

"Thankfully, Onyx wasn't killed, but she came very close. No, we are not going to take that risk." Shaeman explained
"It may be our only chance!" Shadow said firmly.
"And how exactly do you plan on locating him?"
Cika spoke up in a very quiet voice, his eyes showing more wisdom than a nine-year-old could have. "A door once opened can be walked through in either direction."
