The Outlander Series

I read the first book in this series (entitled Cross Stitch in the UK, Outlander in the US) over the weekend and absolutely LOVED it.

There are currently six books in the series, with a seventh due for publication next year. The author has been writing this series since 1991.

I'm now anxiously awaiting the delivery of the rest of the books in the series, I really want to know what happens next!

I thought the book was absolutely fantastic - a great mix of the supernatural, romance, history and humour. It's quite dark in some places - and violent, not a book for younger readers!

At 850 pages it's not a quick read (though I did finish it within five days hehe) - but well worth reading in my opinion.
