| A bit like my Dumbledore question I guess, as it focuses upon that 'conversation' between harry and dumbledore after sirius dies.
Did you think any less of harry due to his outburst of temper?
Personally my mind is split. I actually think harry acts like a spoilt brat sometimes, though I do understand it from his point of view. He expected Dumbledore to be open with him as he has gone through more than most adult wizards, but I can also see Dumbledores point of view.
Harrys temper was through grief and in some ways you could say it showed closeness between the two of them as they say you always hurt the ones you love. Through his grief, Harry is using what Dumbledroe has, or has not done as an escape from the truth. Understandable yes, though not the nicest of things to do.
Personally i liked this scene. I think it must have been one of my favourite parts in the book

| I think that it just shows Harry's human. He's allowed to act childish and bratty and selfish and spoiled. He's allowed to let all that out.
But since he's supposed to be everyone's Hero, he is also expected not to.

| I think if I was in the same postions as Harry I would have done the same. I think it's that they are sheltering him too much. Almost treating him as if her were...well, a baby. He's fifteen. I think he could declare what he wants.
So I think it was about time that he spoke out. Maybe not too much at his friends, but to Dumbledore. I really thought Dumbledore had it coming anyway. The way he was cradling Harry too much. Harry just needed to get out his frusterations

| Dumbledore should have told Harry about everything he knew way sooner than he did. Harry had every right to be mad at him. I also think that Dumbledore should have told Harry why he trusts Snape so much. Harry is mature and would have been able to handle all of this. If he was told earlier, they might have been able to be a lot further in stopping Voldemort than they are now.
I agree with Severus_Snape (Mick) This was a great part in the book. It showed a lot of emotion and was written well.

| The whole book Harry annoyed me to be honest.. but it was a transition... he was learning to deal with big issues like being called a liar. That was hard for him becasue he is used to be treated like a hero.. but the talk at the end i really understood becasue now he's upset, and sad, and confused and he feels guilty and he wants to blame it all on somebody else | |

| i believe that harry acts a bit spoiled at some times but i think because of his grief that sirius died and the fact that he was going through puberty i'm not put out by this a lot, but i was still surprised at the way he acted! | |

| I think that Harry never had really anyone to show him how to act like a grown up. He had the Weasleys but they were more like friends and Sirius didn't know how to behave himself. As for Dumbledore, Harry didn't see him behave outside school and no one really guided him as he grew up. | |

| personally i think harry acts very mature for his age most of the time despite his lack of parents. i mean sure he had discipline but he never had any love.
which brings me to the point, since he had been to hogwarts dumbledore had always been like a father figure to him. and in his hour of need, (voldemort coming back. him scared outta his witts, he is seeing inside voldemorts mind) he is just shut out by he one person he thought cared i personnally thought he had a right to blow up.

Ummm you do make an excellent point. I just feel so bad for Harry when I read that part. That poor boy had gone through sooo much

| Harry's outburst at Dumbledore is possibly my favorite part of this book. It's so full or raw emotion and grief and his anger is completley understandable. And Harry's frusteration had just been growing all year so it was bound to explode out of him eventually. I think this scene really proved that they're both human; Harry's not always going to act the hero and Dumbledore's going to make mistakes too. But I absolutley love this scene and don't think any less of Harry for his actions. | |
