Time to Think

Larkson sat at the edge of the lake, looking down at the book in her hand. She bit slightly on her pen, thinking of what the answer could be. "Not chicken...or dog.." She mumbled, trying to think again.

Dominus was currently sitting a few yards away from her, reading a book titled Alchemy: Everything You Need to Know by Nicholas Flamel. His hair was currently a bright baby blue color and it was draped across his shoulders. He was deeply engrossed in the book, as he didn't acknowledge anything going on around him.

Larkson looked up, pulling her feet from the water. She let her eyes glance around and saw someone she didnt know. Standing up, she walked towards him, sitting down beside him. "Hello, you look smart. Do you know the answer?" She asked him, holding her book infront of him.

He blinked and looked up from his book. He raised a baby blue eyebrow at her. "That depends. What's the question?" he asked her.

Larkson smiled before looking back at her book. "What kind of animal likes veggies." She said, feeling blonde all over once more.

He thought about it for a moment. "There are quite a number of animals. Rabbits, Horses, Deers. Are you looking for a specific animal?" he asked her.

Larkson looked back down at her book. "Um...yes." She said, looking for a clue. "I hate crossword puzzles." She mumbled.

Shadow gripped Merlas' mane as the black pegasus took a dive towards the black lake.
"MERLAS!" The demoness yelled just before the girl and mount crashed into the water. Shadow opened her violet eyes, looking around in the murly water before she kicked towards the surface, gasping for air as she reached it. The black mare wasn't far behind her, shaking her long mane to get the water out.

"How many letters are there?" he asked her with a raised eyebrow. He was currently trying to figure out which animal she was looking for.

Larkson looked back up, seeing something dive to the lake. She backed up, her eyes wide with shock. "What the..." She asked. "Hey are you ok!" She shouted to the girl, letting her eyes go to the horse.

He turned his attention towards the girl in the Lake and he widened his eyes. He dived into the Lake, all the while shapeshifting into a dolphin and swam over to the girl.

Shadow swam to the side, climbing out.
"Yeah, I'm fine," She called back to the girl, wringing out her long black hair. Merlas, now towering over Shadow as she stood on the ground, shook herself, spraying water everywhere.

Larkson nodded, standing up. She closed her eyes as the horse shook, smiling at it. "That's good you are ok." She said, wanting to pet the horse.

Shadow noticed the girl's look towards the pegasus beside her.
"She's tame, you know, she doesn't normally bite. She just misjudged the dive."

Larkson nodded, letting her hand pet it's nose. "Pretty..." She said, her short attention span getting to her.

Shadow smiled.
"Her name's Merlas. I've owed her since she was a foal."

"Hello Merlas..." Larkson said softly, smiling once more. She turned away from her, looking at the girl once more.

Dominus, feeling very stupid swam over to the edge of the Lake and turned back into his human form.

Shadow looked round at the boy climbing out of the lake and bowed slightly, one hand fisted over her heart in the sign of respect among the demons.
"Dominus..." She said quietly.

Larkson looked between them before turning back to Merlas. "I'm Larkson." She said a few seconds later.

Shadow looked at Larkson.
"Shadow," She said quietly.

Larkson tested the name on her tongue, eyebrow raised. "Shaaaddddoooow....it fits." She said, nodding.

Shadow gave a half smile.
"It should." She said quietly.

Larkson nodded before sitting down. "Where did the other boy go?" She asked.

Clafin saw a rather large winged horse. Being a curious first year, she walked over to the people and introduced herself.
