Feeling Alone

Veronica Walked down the dark corridor, with her books in hand. She felt very lonely. She hadn't really been alone much lately, hanging around with Clafin and Thomas, but she hadn't seen, or heard from either of them that day. Walking around the castle without them, felt unnatural. She walked in silence, with only her own thoughts to keep her company.
Maybe someone would come along and relieve her loneliness.

Violet walked from a class, mumbling under her breath. Just as she was about to turn a corner, she head someone that was ahead of her. She looked around the corner to see who it was, but didnt know them. "Hello...?" She asked them.

Thomas walked around the corner looking up at the ceiling. He barely noticed when he walked into somebody. "Oh sorry..." he started as he looked down. "Oh...Hey Veronica." He looked over at the other girl. "Hey, Im Thomas." he introduced himself.

Veronica, looked up suddenly. "Oh, hey thomas!" She said, cheering up."I've been looking all over for-" She then noticed a girl she had never seen before. "Uh...Hello." She siad, a little awkwardness in her tone." My name is Veronica." She gave the girl a nice smile. Ever since Veronica had started hanging around with Clafin, she had began to get better with introductions and meeting new people, but she still got nervous sometimes. She stared at the girl, curiously, awaiting a reply.

Violet then saw someone else join the girl and she moved from around the corner. "I'm Violet." She told her, pushing some hair from her face. "And...you two are...?" She asked her.

"Well...I'm Veronica, and this is Thomas." She glanced at Thomas and smiled. She was so happy to see him.
She looked back at Violet, Studying her. She couldn't figure out her expression.

"Violet? Are you the one Clafins been talking to?" Thomas said softly as he looked at her.

"As in Violet Riddle....then yes...I;'m pretty sure I'm the only Violet here." She said, nodding. "And nice to meet you both..." She told them.

"Hmmm. Well then I've heard very good things about you. Thanks for watching after her. Shes been through some hard stuff." Thomas said quickly as he glanced towards Veronica/

"Nice to meet you, too." said Veronica. She looked sheepishly from Thomas to Violet. Not really sure what else to say, she took a step back and waited for someone to break the silence.

"Uh...and to think there was nothing good about me besides healing..." She said, fixing her headband before letting her mind roam the school. probing a peoples minds.

Veronica looked at violet, and then at Thomas. "I was just on my way down to dinner, if either of you would like to join me...?" She questioned.

Thomas looked at Violet calmly as she adjusted her hair. He turned to Veronica. "Yea sounds good."

Clafin skipped around the corner behind them. "Hey guys!" she said a bit too loudly.

"I dont eat." Violet told her, letting her eyes go to her.

"You...Don't...Eat?"
What in the bloody...?
Veronica stared at her blankly, waiting for an explaination...

Violet smiled when she saw Clafin. When she heard the other girl in her mind she smiled. "I"m a vampire ." She told her.

Clafin looked at Violet and smiled.

"Oh...
well. That makes sense then."
Veronica smiled back at Violet.
"i guess that makes two of you then," She added, with a side glance at thomas.

"Two of what?" Violet asked her, looking at her and the others.

Peter Sparks had been trailing behind a short girl with messy, black hair, when he noticed that she turned a sharp corner, and started greeting people. He slowed his pace and peeked around the corner. He didn't recognize anyone except for Veronica, his older cousin. He stepped out from behind the corner, and said, "Hello! Who are all you people?!"

"Tommy boy is a vampire." Clafin said. "Hes also my best friend." she said through a smile.

Thomas just nodded. He kept his eyes on Violet to see her reaction.

"Yeah...He's also my boyfriend!" She blurted out. As soon as she spoke the words, she felt the heat rising in her cheeks.
She looked around for something to distract the attention from herself, right as her younger cousin, Peter, came around the corner and greeted everyone.
Ugh...She thought.

"OH...umm...well...hello..." Violet said to Thomas. She let her eyes go over them as someone else came out.

Clafin skipped over to the boy and gave him a hug. "Im Clafin."

Thomas looked at Veronica in surprise of her outburst.

Peter looked at everyone...
He walked over to Veronica."Hey, aren't you going to introduce me to your cute friends?" he asked as he wagged his eye brows at Clafin and Violet.

Veronica stared up at him,"Wow..."She said, under her breath." Okay...everyone, this is my cousin, Peter." She watched everyone's face, and continued." Peter, this is Violet, Clafin, and Thomas.

"Hey ladies!" He said, as they were introduced.

"Just so ya know, I have a boyfriend...whos easily tempered." she warned.

Thomas laughed at Peters attempt on flirting with the two girls.

Violet shook her head, letting her mind probe at Clafin's. 'Is that boy ok...?' she asked, wondering if she was going to have to knock him out.

"I doubt it. He's got to be whacked if he's trying to flirt. Everyone knows Im with Luke...Everyone." she said mentally to Violet. She then giggled to herself aloud.

Thomas looked around at the other three and remained silent.

Violet smiled, shaking her head. "Maybe I should call Luke up here then." She told her outloud. She looked at Thomas and cleared her throat. "Do you hunt or drink human blood?" She asked her.

Peter Blushed heavily, but tried to hide it. "Um...sorry. I don't wanna go down the alley. Angry boyfriends are not my area of expertice."

"Persueing older women doesn't seem to be one of your areas either..." Veronica half laughed, as she stared in amusement as she watxched her cousin embarrass himself yet again.

"Yea! You should!" Clafin said eagerly as she ignored Peter

"Er. I hunt." Thomas said nervously. He didnt like to talk about being a vampire around others. He didnt want to scare them

Violet nodded towards Thomas before closing her eyes and letting her mind connect to Luke. 'Clafin wants to see you...' She told him. She heard Luke tell his friends he would see them later before finally arriving.

Clafin ran over to Luke, got on her tiptoes and kissed him when he turned down the corridor. "Hey." she said softly as she let her self drop back to the ground.

Thomas looked up at his friend. Since when did she get a boyfriend? he wondered to himself. He turned his attention back to Veronica and Violet.

"I'm think that i should be leaving..." Said Peter, As he edged away from the crowd.
Veronica grabbed the back of his robes. "What's the rush?" She asked, smiling in a very friendly way. she looked back and winked at the others.
Peter tried to get away from her, but he couldn't.
This is gonna suck.... Peter thought.

LUke smiled when he saw Clafin and he bent down to kiss her back. "Hey beautiful..." he whispered to her, wrapping his arm around her waist. Violet rolled her eyes, standing next to Veronica. "How old are you?" Shr asked her.

"I'm fifteen."Replied Violet, but she needed to ask Violet something...
She leaned into her ear and whispered," Is Luke gonna kill my cousin?"
She wasn't that concerned, but she didn't know what to expect.

Violet laughed, shaking her head. "No..no." She told her.

Clafin led Luke back to the group. "This is Luke." she said introducing him to Veronica, Thomas, and Peter.

Thomas smiled but said nothing

Luke nodded at them, letting his eyes narrow on Peter. Violet rolled her eyes, looking down at her nails.

"Hi, Luke." she smiled at him. "I'm Veronica."
Since she was no longer concerned about peter, she let his robes go and walked over to Thomas.
She whispered in his ear, "Are you alright?"

Peter took this moment to escape down the corridor. He was starving, anyway.
I wonder what's for dinner... He thought to himself as he practically ran to the Main hall.

Clafin squeezed Lukes hand as Peter took off.

Thomas looked down at Veronica and replied slowly "Err. Yea...Im fine. Why?"

Veronica studied his face.
"You don't seem very talkative. I just thought that maybe something was bothering you..."

Luke smiled at Clafin, not sure of what to say. Violet looked at Luke and Clafin before the other couple again before feeling the same thing she always felt.

"No ma'am" he said quickly as he turned to Luke and held out his hand. "Im Thomas."

Veronica looked down....
she couldn't help but feel something was wrong.

She decided that it was better left alone for now, and just smiled to herself. Trying to look happy.
She walked over to Violet.
"So...if you don't mind me asking, how long have you been a vampire?"

Luke looked at his hand but didnt shake it. "Luke Embers..." He said. Violet looked up at her before shrugging. "Almst 5 years.." She siad.

"Oh..." Violet said.
"That's...interesting." She instantly felt awkward again.
She decided that it might be better for her to go and study, maybe find Peter and have some dinner.
She cleared her throat and then said, "I think i'm going to go to the library. I have to.... study for a charms test."
She turned to Thomas and rubbed her neck.
"I guess i'll see you around?"

Thomas looked at Luke for a moment and finally let his hand drop. He turned to Veronica. "No, Ill go with you." he said quickly.

Clafin flicked Luke in the stomach as she looked up and smiled at him. "Can I go to?" she asked Veronica, not looking away from Luke.

"Ow.." Luke said, glaring playfully at her. Violet raised an eyebrow, before looking down.

Veronica smiled a little.
She really didn't want to be alone, again.
She looked at Clafin, and said, "Of course, i think you can probably help me a little."
She looked at Thomas, " To the Library?" She asked, and held out her hand to him.
