Looking at the stars.

Sinister lay down by the lake staring up at the stars. Something about them were so interesting to him, how they could just wait up there..to be love and kissed. Instead they were wished and looked upon. They were wise and silent twinkling in the night. Sinister smiled and sighed. THere were so many things beuatiful at hogwarts. Not only the stars but, everything about the castle in and out was simply amazing to him.

Clafin snuck outside the castle doors in no rush, besides not wanting to get caught. She walked over to the lake and looked out at the water reflecting the moon and stars.She knew she probably shouldn't be out here by herself, let alone at night, but she needed sometime to clear her head. She quickly stripped down to her bathing suit and jumped into the cold water. She swam as far down as she could before running out of air and pushed herself back to the surface. She heard something to the left, but figured it was nothing. Who in there right mind is going to be out here by themselves? Well, you are, but your not exactly sane at the moment. she thought to herself. She waited a moment to see if the noise would repeat.

Sinister stood up startled by someone speaking. He seen a girl stading there looking at him. "Hey...I'm Sinister." He said stanfing up before her. "And you are?" He asked the girl.


To his left he heard a splash in the water and seen a girl swimming. Confused Sinister watched her and then turned back to the girl before him. She seemed nice. Sinister liked the nicer people..even though he himself wasnt the nicest person around. Not at all really. Sinister laughed to himself thinking about it.

Sinister smiled and shook Silvia's hand. "Its nice to meet you Silvia." He said following her glance to the lake. Wow she must be freezing. He thought. "Who swims this late?" He asked Silvia questiontly. "Way to freezing at night don't you think?" Sinister smiled and looked over at the girl who was swiming, it didn't look as if she was cold but that was just him maybe. THe water was never warm at this time at night.

Clafin listened to the voices carefully. After minutes of eavesdropping, she began to feel a bit guilty. She pushed herself up and ran to where her clothes were. She hurriedly shoved them on and walked towards the two talking. She couldnt see all the well in the dark, so she pulled out her wand. "Lumos." she muttered. She was surprised to see her friend Sinister laying down with a girl standing next to him. "Oh, er hi. Am I interuppting anything?" Clafin said as the color in her cheeks rose. She shuddered from the breeze stinging her wet skin.

Sinister shook his head in suprise to see Clafin standing before him. "Um..hello Clafin." He said waving at her. "No your not interupting...we only just started talking." He smiled and stood back up. "Are you cold?" He asked seeing that she was very wet. "I can lend you my coat?" Sinister asked holding it out to her.

"Oh, errr no thank you. I'll be fine." Clafin said in a tone of surprise. She turned and walked towards the girl and gave her a hug. She looked up at her for a moment. The girl was absolutely gorgeous. "Hello there. Im Clafin Potter." she said loudly. She turned before the girl could answer and sat besides Sinister. "How are you and Max doing?" she asked curiously. She tried to lower her voice, but her excitment was overwhelming. Another cold breeze floated through the treo and Clafin pulled her robes in closer, after putting her wand away.

Clafin looked at Sinister in confusion. "What do you mean guess?" she asked not worrying about whether she sounded nosy or not. "Oh, and Im doing great. Luke and I are well, Im actually not sure. I havent seen him in a few days. I guess thats just part of being a werewolves girlfriend I suppose." Clafin said quickly. She wished she hadnt brought Luke up. That subject was sure to go under speculation by Sinister.

She turned to the girl. "Oh, my! Where are my manners today? Whats your name?" she asked quietly.

Sinister shruged. "I really don't know." He said. "Haven't talked to the guy in a while." Sinister pouted. "But, it is great the you and Lucas are doing good." Sinister watched a owl fly across the lake and grinned. "But, yes it has to be..somewhat hard dating a werewolf they have lots to do." He laughed.


Sinister looked back over at Silvia who was quite quiet.

Max was strolling the castle corridors for the night. Night made him feel at his strongest. Even though there is no real time when a witch or wizard is stronger than another. Anyways, as Max strolled out onto the grounds, he seen several people down through the star light. Smiling to himself Max pulled out his wand. Rising it above his head, he cast a quick and simple spell.

"Lumos!"

With that the tip of his wand lit up, helping him see better. Now Max could see very good in the dark, but he rather not take his chances tonight. As he descended toward the little group of people he could make out one of them as Sinister. So he quickened his pace so he could be with his boy friend.

Once there he put his wand out, "Nox!". Max went up to Sinister and gave him and kiss on the lips.

"Hey love."

Sinister smiled at Max and gave him a hug. "Hey." He said to him. "How have you been?" Sinister asked still looking up at the shining stars.


"You are very quiet Silvia." He said turning towards her. Then he looked back up at the stars they seemed to be the most silent out of all of them. Sinister knew that he could never handle being that quiet. Shivering Sinister pulled his jacket closer around himself.

Smiles at Siniter. "I'm good. Though i missed you." Hugs Sinister. Max looks him up and down and notices he is cold. Max points his wand at the ground and mutters the spell for fire.

"Incendio!"

A spark of fire lives his wand and hits the ground, growing into a fire which warms the night. Then Max draws logs on the ground and they appear. He smiles at Sinister and moves to sit on a log in front of the fire.

Sinister smiled at Max and moved over to sit beside him on the log. "THank you." He said sitting down, he watched the flames rise and warm him. "I was getting cold." Sinister said continuing to look at the fire. He turned to Max watching the flames dance around in his eyes and blushed.

Max smiles at Sinister and puts an arm around him. "So how are you tonight?" Max looks at the flames dancing, in some areas it turns blue for split seconds. Then the wind blew and stirred the fire. The idea of smores came to mind, so Max raised his wand.

"Accio Smore Materials!"

Soon there would be things to make smores flying through the air toward Max. Oh, i didn't think that through clearly. He thought to himself.

Sinister lay his head on Max's shoalder and smiled. "I am good." He said. "Missed you though." Sinister watched the flames as the crakeled against the logs and became higher and more warm. Sinister sighed as he watched the flams dance around quikley. Becoming bored of watching the flames and looked at Max.

Max looked at Sinister when he felt Sinister's head on his shoulder. Though Max quickly looked up when he heard the sound of the Smores things coming and grabbed Sinister, pushing him over with Max falling on top of him. He giggled as he lay on top of Sinister.

"Wow, Comfy."

Clafin giggled at Sinisters comment about busy werewolves and turned to Silvia. "Uh, Im not really sure. When we are together we dont really talk about other people." she admitted as she blushed. She looked down in attempt to hide the color in her face.

There was a sudden light from across the field. It grew closer to reveal Max. Clafin looked on as he greeted Sinister. They were so intimate together, even in public. She felt awkward sitting with them. She could practically feel the love in the air, and she had to look away from the coupe.

As Clafin turned back to Silvia, she nearly fell of her seat.

Sinister laughed. "Um...ouch!" He said as he stood up. Standing up he held his hand out for Max. "You alright?" He asked laughing.


Sinister looked towards Clafin who looked almost annoyed, maybe confused he wasnt sure. Sinister knew how she felt though and he walked over to her. She was sitting next to Silvia on the bench they were both very quiet. Smiling Sinister sat down next to her waving at Max to come over. "Whats up Clafin?" He asked her.


Silivia was just sitting there beside them looking off into a distance daydreaming as far as he could tell.

Clafin pulled herself up further on the bench, and looked out on the lake. The dark waters were glimmering as though they had thousands of diamonds embedded in its lengthy depths. There was a slight movement on the bench right next to her. When she looked over, she saw Sinister looking at her expectantly. Had he asked her a question? Clafin felt guilty. She'd been a bit out of it ever since her summer catastrophe, but that was no excuse to ignore people. "Errr. I...uhmm." was all she managed to choke out.

Sinister bit his lip trying not to laugh at Clafin. "I said whats up?" He asked her again following her gaze out to the lake. It shimmered from the faint light of the moon and stars. Sinister smiled at the sight of it. It was amazing to him. He thought about his parents knowing that they would never be able to see this ever again..sadly. Dead. Sinister thought shivering at the word wishing that it wasnt true, but it was and there was really nothing he could do to get them back. Not not, not ever. Sinister bit down on his lip again only this time it was to stop crying not to stop laughing. Sinister played with his lip ring with his tongue and forced a smile.

Clafin turned her attention away from the dazzling sight in front of her and towards Sinister. She still wasnt the same as she used to be, but she was trying her hardest. Clafin looked down at the black and neon green bracelt on her wrist as she thought of what to say. "Oh. Um, well I just errr. I guess I just felt like I needed a swim." she said as another breeze blew past them. "You know, to clear my head." she added, her voice sounding far off. It was almost as though she weren't even speaking the words. She felt her lips move as they flowed out, but it was like someone had filled the emptiness and replaced everything she was.

Sinister could see that something was wrong with Clafin. "Yea...I know what you mean." He replied looking back at Clafin. She was looking down at her hands looking as if she might cry or something. "Are you alright Clafin?" He asked her turning his full attention to her. "You can tell me..if you want." He said looking back out at the lake. It was very quiet the only noise was the crakeling fire and the suddle rush of the waves.

Clafin nodded her head and continued to look down at her friendship bracelet. She pulled it off and held it up to Sinister as her gaze followed the woven bracelet rushing through the air. "Do you want this? I don't really need it anymore. The person who gave it to me decided to leave me behind." she said as her sorrow seeped through her words more than she expected they would've. She waited a moment before replying to his question. "I'll be fine...if you get this away from me." Clafin said as she nodded her head to the jewelry in her hand. She couldnt handle having it with her everywhere she went. It was a reminder of her past, the only thing she felt the need to run from.

Sinister looked at the braclet in her hand that was swingging with the breeze. He nodded taking it from her. "Come here." He said grabbing her hand and leading her towards the lake. Then he stopped and gave back her bracelet. "You want it gone?" He asked. "Throw it down there and you will not have to see it anymore." He said watching the waves rush towards where they were standing.

Clafin was relieved when he took the bracelet from her. His hand was huge next to hers. She always felt pixie sized when she compared herslef to other people. She followed him to the waters edge. As he spoke to her, Clafin's relief washed away and was replaced by anguish. She looked out to the lake. It seemed so peaceful from the surface. She knew what it held within its dark waters though. At its depths jagged rocks and barbaric creatures waited silently to tear apart anything that was foolish enough to be tricked by the silky waves on the surface. Clafin turned and started to walk back with the jewelry in her hand. She had taken three step when she threw the bracelet in the waters behind her. She continued walking without a glance back at the forgotten reminder.

Sinister smiled as he watched the bracelet leave Clafin's hand. She continued to walk and did not look back. Sighing Sinister followed Clafin back up to the bench. Clafin looked releived, but still sad. "Better?" He asked her sitting down on the bench looking out into the lake. The wind blew his hair around making it impossible to keep his hair out of his eyes. Sinister plled his hood up over his head and turned back to Clafin.

Max smiled at Sinister. He grabbed the hand in which Sinister offered him to get up. Get up Max looked around hopefully had seen him getting on top of Sinister. Then with a blink of an eye Sinister just left, like that. Max watched him leave and wondered if he had did something wrong to make him leave like that. But instead, it just seemed that we was going over to Calfin. Watching the two, Sinister motioned for Max to come over so he did.

Walking over to Sinister and Calfin, Max smiled and gave Calfin a hug. "Hey girl, how you doing?" Max sat beside Sinister and put his hand on the boys leg. Max squeezed it lightly and looked up at Calfin. Just then he had remembered her friend Thomas.

"Oh Calfin, wheres Thomas? I think he would like a quite night out."

Sinister sighed and put his hood over his head as a breeze swept through making his hair blow feircley around his face. Sinister leaned back on the bench and looked aver at Max who was talking to Clafin. Not listening to what they were saying Sinister looked over past the fire and out to the lake. It seemed to glitter and shimmer against the land, the waves rushed making a loud noise. A small mist of water covered Sinister face with the wind making him shiver. With his sleve he whiped it off and continued to play with his lip ring with his tongue, bored.

Clafin looked up at Sinister, still feeling small. She looked down at her wrist which now felt a bit naked. "Yeah, much better." she said only half lying.

She was shocked when Max walked over and pulled her into a hug, but she returned the embrace. "I'm doing er...fine. I guess." she said slowly as she looked up at him. As he brought up Thomas, Clafin felt herself tense up. She tried to relax her expression, but she could tell it wasnt working. She looked down to try and hide it. "Im not sure where he is actually. I havent really...uh. Well what Im saying is...Well." Clafin tried to find the words she needed but quit.

Bella and Sarah where walking through the grounds, bella was showing Sarah around, sense not meny people know voldamorts real last name it was fine that Sarah used her full name in public, but a bit uneasy when they knew who she realy was. Bella saw clafin in the distence and ran up to her with a big grin on her face, Sarah had a sour pout on her face as usual. "Hi clafin, you havn't Ofcurse met my new best friend Sarah Merope Riddle have you. she just transfered from...Uh"Bella always forgot the name of Sarahs school she never went to. "...I used to go to Baxbauton"Sarah said giving an Obviusly fake grin and curtseing like she was a curtius human being. this ofcurse wasn't the case.

Sinister turned his head from Clafin and out to the lake seeing a girl standing there looking out. Sinister had never seen her before so decided to go introduce himself. "Be right back." He said to the other as he walked over to the lake. The girl didn't seem to notice him she looked lost in her thoughts. "Hello." He said standing next to her. "I'm Sinister." He lturned to try to see her face, but she was turned away as if she was hiding something. Sinister sighed and looked out into the lake then back to the girl who stood by his side.

"We haven't tal-" she cut herself off. She turned towards the lake, after there was a distant splash. She looked to see where it had come from, only to see Sinister walking off towards a girl. She was confused as to why he was leaving, but remained quiet. As Bella ran up to them, Clafin saw that shed grown a bit taller. "Oh, er no.I haven't met her." she said as Bella introduced the girl as Sarah. She then turned to her as her face darkened. "A Riddle?" she asked trying to ask so that the others wouldn't grow suspicious.

"Cool, I like your name Selena." Sinister responded smiling slightly. "So, you are a Black?" He asked looking out into the black misty lake sighing. "Hogwarts is pretty awesome right?" Sinister said looking towards her. She looked dazed as she looked at him. Sinister smiled at her and turned back to the lake. Very pretty. Sinister thought but, then felt a chill run down his back at the thought of someone else that he loved. No, no she is not.[i] He thought. [i]I love someones else, dont fall deeper into someone else. Sinister pulled his hood over his head and sighed.

Clafin looked at the others around her. She had no idea that coming out at night and breaking almost every school had been so popular amongst her fellow classmates. She stood listening to their conversations, but she still didn't feel...right. Somehow she knew she should be somewhere else. That was probably due to the fact that she had snuck out though, so she didn't think anything more about it. Clafin tried to be polite by nodding her head and adding "Uh huhs" and "Oh yeahs" into the conversation, but it didn't interest her at all. Eventually she stopped talking and looked out into the waters. Why did I throw it in there? she thought to herself in frustration. She'd gotten a bit warmer, so she slid her robes off and held them in her arms. She walked over to where Sinister and the girl were. Clafin, for some reason, felt that he was the only person here who really understood her. She looked up from the ground as she approached the two. "Er, hello. I'm Clafin" she introduced herself. She'd tried to sound normal, but the words came out in nothing more than a whisper.

Sinister smiled and watched as Clafin aprroched them. She, looked depressed or like something was bringing her down at a rapid pase. "You ok Clafin?" He asked turning his attention to her. She didn't look all that happy he could see it in her eyes. She looked at the lake like she was all of a sudden regreting throwing that green braclet into there. Sinister shook his head not understanding as to why she did it in the first place. But, it seemed that the bracelet made her angry, sad maybe?

Clafin knew she couldn't explain what was wrong without crying, and she wasn't about to cry in front of other people. Not in a million years. She wasn't sure what she should say instead of a lengthy explanation. Finally, she decided to just say it all. Everything that had happened. Where should I start? What if Sinister thinks badly of me after I explain everything thats happened? Was it my fault? What if it was and I haven't realized the full extent of it all? A million thoughts went flying through Clafin's mind. She put her hands on her ears and squeezed in effort to make it stop. As soon as she realized they wouldn't, she dropped her hands down to her side. She tried to speak, but nothing came out. What is wrong with you? she asked herself silently. "Er.." was all that she managed to choke out.
