Wondering

Luke sighed softly, making his way towards the grounds. It wouldnt be long. The full moon would be here and he would have to ake the horrible potion, but he was going it for one person. Clafin. Without her, he may have just let himself get hurt alot, hoping to end it. 'That's stupid Luke and you know it....' he heard his wolf say to him. A small growl came from his lips and he finally sat himself down infront of a tree, the same one he met Clafin at when she had stole his spot. He laughed softly, thinking about how she defended herself and all he was doing was egging it on. He could tell he liked, no loved her before he knew it himself. Lying to himself was always a bad move.

Keeping himself isolated for years finally got to him. When she wasnt around him, he didnt like the alone feeling he had. He prayed she could tell where he was. It was getting lonely out here by himself. He looked up at the tree and almost jumped in front. "Violet!" He yelled, glaring. Violet smiled down at him, playing with her nail file. "You know, if you dont keep your mind close, I can hear everything, right?" She asked him, looking down at her nails.

"You know, Clafin may be looking for Thomas...or she could be bored with you like I am half the time." Violet told him, not really paying to much attenetion to him. "Oh, dont forget your potion tonight...I'm going to hunt later on anyways." She told him.

"Violet...is there a reason you are out and about?" Luke asked her with a glare. Violet smiled a cruel smile but didnt say anything. Of course there was a reason for all she done. And if they didnt like it, tough luck for them. "I think you need to get out of that tree and done here." Luke told her. Violet shook her head, leaning her head back on the tree. "I like it up here, dont you? Nice view." She said softly, closing her eyes.

She wished she could curl up in her bed and sleep, but knew it would be useless. Sleep was a stranger to her. She remembered a time were she could, but now she knew if she were to try, it would be like her trying to talk to a brick wall. Useless and not worth the time. Time was another stranger to her. What was time? She couldnt remember, everything went by in fast motion, enough to make her wonder when her life was over. "Years ago, Violet. You are dead..you dont have anything." Luke told her softly.

Clafin hadn't seen Luke in what felt like days, even though she knew it had been just a few hours. She couldn't help but to miss him. He'd become her everything. Though she would never tell him that, because her pride tended to overpower all other emotions. She wanted...no NEEDED to see him. She pulled back the curtains on her bed and pulled of her nightgown in a hurry. She ruffled through her the dresser and slipped on a red dress. She was out the door and running down to the common room as she tried to pull her black chucks on. She made her way outside in record time. She ran over to her favorite tree. Well, it was technically Luke's tree...No, it was their tree now. As she approached, she saw two silhouetted figures. She got closer and saw two familiar faces. "Luke!" she practically screamed his name as she ran into him and put her arms around him. She looked up at him and smiled.

Luke mumbled under his breath, looking at Violet. "So how are you? Found a victim lately?" He asked her. Violet shook her head and went to reply when she saw the warm smile on Luke's face. She turned her head in time to see someone run down the small hill and she smiled, leaning back into the tree. Luke looked down as he felt familiar arms around him and his arms went around her, pulling her close to him. "Clafin..." He mumbled into her hair, turning his head some to kiss her forhead. "How are you, love?" he asked her softly, pulling at her hair a bit to move it.

It may have only been a few hours, but he felt the need to want her more, to make her happier then anyone he ever had in his life. Violet looked down at the couple before jumping from the back of the tree and making her way towards the school. She wondered if Clafin had been right about Thomas. With a small sigh, she made her way towards the Great Hall, mumbling.

Clafin looked up into Luke's eyes. She couldn't help but to smile. He always seemed to make everything bad that was going on just disappear. She didn't know how he did it, but she was very thankful for this gift. "I'm doing a lot better." she said truthfully. She reached up onto her tip toes and kissed his cheek, and let herself fall back to the ground. Clafin turned to say hello to Violet, only to find her walking off towards the castle. She instantly felt bad for being so cuddly with Luke while she was there. Clafin turned her attention back to Luke and snuggled her head into his chest. "How about yourself?" she asked loudly.

Luke smiled at her, leaning back into the tree. "That's good." He told her, yawning. He wrapped his arms around her as she stood on her tip toes and kissed his cheek. He smiled once more as he bent down, kissing her softly on the lips before leaning his head against her hers. "I'm good...was talking to Violet...about God knows what." He said, leaning his head back on the tree. Violet kept walking, only to see a few people in the Great Hall. With a shake of her head, she made her way towards the second floor corridor, wondering if there was anyone there worth talking to. She really didnt have many friends, only Maz, Clafin, Sinster and Luke, but they seemed to all be busy.

Clafin kissed Luke back softly, before sitting on the ground in front of him. She laid her legs out in front of her and crossed them. She looked towards the castle doors, wishing that she hadn't made Violet run off. You always seem to know just what to do to make your friends mad. she thought to herself angrily. Clafin looked down at her lap. She realized what she was wearing, and the blood raised in her cheeks. She looked up at Luke. "Well then, I feel a bit over-dressed." she said through a grin. Clafin shook her head in embarrassment. "Anyways, Thomas...er...well..." she said, not knowing how to finish. "He hates me!" she blurted out loudly. She looked past Luke, who towered over her, to the Lake. There was a girl walking towards it.

Rose was out late, unable to get to sleep. The moon was bright tonight, ans she wanted to get out and stretch her legs. Her skin was crawling, and she could feel her medicine racing through her body to keep her from morphing into a werewolf.
She found herself wondering around the grounds, and she slowly began making her way to the Forbidden Forest. Her legs were taking her were they wanted to go, and she did not question them. A breeze blew over her, and the leaves and trees of the dark, mystifying forest shuddered in the pale moonlight.
She took a deep breath and headed into the darkness. Rose didn't get far before she heard some voices. "Hello?" She peered around each corner. "Who's there?"

Luke smiled down at her. "You look alright, love. I wouldnt care if you were in rags, you would still look pretty." he told her, picking her up only to sit down on the grass under the tree. He wrapped his arms loosely around her and laid his head on her shoulder, turning his head to kiss her neck as he done so. "How was your day?" he asked her softly, closing his eyes. Maybe tonight was a good night to tell her the full moon was tomorrow, that is, if she still wanted to come and see him. He was glad Violet had talked him into going to ask her if she wanted to, even if he had been rude to her the first time they had met. Violet sat down on the floor in the corridor, letting her head fall back against the wall. She really didnt have anything to do and she hoped someone would come along and take away her bordeness. She laughed softly, shrugging. It didnt matter, most were scared of her anyways.

Clafin looked at Luke in awe. She didn't know how, but he always seemed to know just what to say. "Me, pretty? Well then, I'm certain of it now. You are crazy." she said joking about the last part. She looked at him for a moment. He was absolutely beautiful with the moonlight shining down and illuminating his face, while leaving the shadows to consume the other half. "Hmm. Well, to be honest my day was awful. Thomas won't stop picking on me. It's absolutely horrible. I had no idea he could be so cruel." she said quietly as she lowered her head.


Thomas sat in the Gryffindor Common Room thinking of everyone he'd hurt recently from his drastic mood swings. He pulled out a piece if parchment and a quill and sat at a table blotting down every name he could think. The two that meant the most were at the top of the list. Violet...and Clafin. Violet he thought to himself. He pulled out yet another piece of parchment and wrote a letter to both Clafin and Violet with a descriptive apology and asking for a chance to make it up to them. He decided it would be best to hand deliver them. He walked out of the common room and down a corridor where he saw someone sitting on the ground. As he got closer, he saw a familiar face. "Violet?" he asked quietly.

Luke shook his head, laughing softly. "Me, crazy? I went there a long time ago, love." He said softly, leaning back into the tree and pulling her with him. He listened to her talk, knowing he could listen to her voice all the time. It was like wind chimes swaying in the wind, singing the song of the angels to everyone. He closed his eyes, nodding. "I think today has been boring." He mumbled. "That is, until you came here." he told her, opening his eyes. "Tomorrow night is the full moon...if you still want to come that is." he told her.

Violet opened her eyes, looking up. "Oh..um..hi?" she mumbled, moving over some. She patted the ground beside her, deciding to be nice, even if it wasnt in her nature to do so. She let her head falll back against the wall, closing her eyes as she done so. "And how are you?" She asked him, not sure of what to talk about.

Clafin giggled as Luke pulled her into him closer. Well, at least I'm not the only crazy one. she thought to herself. "Boring eh? How s-" she cut herself off and struggled to turn around in Luke's arms. "You're really going to let me come?!" she screamed in surprise. "I thought...I thought...You really wanted me to come?" she finally said. Her voice grew small. She couldn't breathe. She grabbed her locket and squeezed it tightly in her small hands. She looked up into Luke's eyes, awaiting an answer.

Thomas walked closer and took a seat next to her. "This is for you." he said as he handed her a small envelope with her name blotted down in his own messy handwriting. He looked at her for a second before letting it go.

"Yes I want you to come, but I cant force you to do anything you dont really want, now can I?" He asked her, eyebrows raised. He smiled softly at her before kissing the tip of her nose, keeping his arms around her. "I take that as a yes, I want to come?" He asked her, yawning a bit. He shook his head, trying to shake his sleep from his body, but found it hard to do so. "Oh come on...why do I have to be tired of all the times." He mumbled, pouting like a stubborn child.

Violet raised an eyebrow, taking the letter. She looked down at it before looking up at him and down at it. "You came all this way to give me a letter? Are you an owl now?" She asked him, turning towards him. "I can send my next shipment of blood threw you next time." She mumbled before opening the letter.

Clafin leaned up and kissed Luke softly while running her fingers through his hair."Thank you." she whispered softly in his, before letting herself ease back into his lap. She giggled as he shook the two of them. She knew he hadn't meant to move her, but she found it amusing that he had. "You know, you don't have to be tired" she said softly. She turned her head to look up at him as a wide grin came across her face.

Thomas looked at Violet hesitantly as she began opening the letter. He grabbed her hands in effort for her to stop. He lifted his hand and let it rest against her cheek. "I'm sorry Violet." he said quietly as he looked at her face.

Luke bit the inside of his cheek when she ran her hand threw his hair. It just felt so good. He knew that was his werewolf inside of him talking. What dog didnt love their head rubbed? He smiled at her when she giggled, tighten his grip just a bit. "Oh I dont. And what in God's name can we do that would keep me awake? Swimming? Running?" He asked her, eyebrows raised. He lifted his hand to rest against her cheek when she smiled, feeling his heart warm at her smile.

Violet sighed, looking up at him when he grabbed her hands. "What, Thomas? What are you sorry for?" She asked him, biting her lip as she let herself lean into his hand. "Why are you saying sorry?" She asked him, before moving from him some. She let her hands play with the letter still in her hand, not sure if she wanted to read it or not.

Clafin shook her head when Luke began listing of possibilities. She couldn't help but to widen her smile every time she looked at him. If she smiled any bigger, her cheeks would rip apart. "Let's go exploring!" she said as her voice escalated. She leaned in closer and kissed him before hopping up. She looked down at him. "Please?" she begged as she held out her hand as an offer to help him up.

Thomas looked down at Violet's hand that was fidgeting with the small envelope in her hand. He let his hands drop to the floor. He didn't know just how to explain. As he concentrated, his face grew dark. He looked back up at her face. "I'm sorry for not telling you sooner." he said before he reached up and kissed her softly.

*DUN DUN DUNNNN and the plot thickens XD*

Luke looked at her, deciding to tease her. "No, I dont wanna go exploring." he told her, standing up. He just shook his head, picking her up. "Ok, let's go." he told her, kissing her cheek. He sat her down on the ground, holding her hand firmly in his. "You know, we never really get to talk much...to much school going on." He told her softly, wrapping his arm around her shoulder after a few seconds.

Violet watched his hand drop, eye brows raised. "Well...I'm gonna.." She started before he started talking. "Telling me what? You are very confusing, you kn-" She started, that was, until she felt him kiss her. Her eyes widen a bit, the shock still covering her in a cold blanket before kissing him back softly.

Clafin squeezed his hand in hers. "Well then...let's not explore." she said softly. She pulled her hand out of his and hugged him tightly. She released him and took her place besides him. "Let's talk and walk." she said through a grin. "Erm...What is it exactly that you want to talk about?" she asked, unsure of where to start. Clafin looked up at him expectantly and the corners of her lips turned into a shy smile.

Thomas pulled back and smiled at Violet. "Does that help explain any?" he said through a smirk. He let his hand weave between her fingers as his eyes searched over her facial expression trying to read it.

"Call me dumb, but no, that doesnt explain anything." Violet mumbled, glaring. "Being cocky isnt nice, Thomas." She hissed softly, snatching her hand from his. "Never. Smirk. At. Me." she hissed softly in his ear, letting her teeth graze his ear softly. She pushed him back against the wall, letting her hand press hard into his chest. "I meant that Thomas. I may like you, but acting like that gets no where." She told him warningly before kissing him herself.

Luke shook his head. "No, you said explore. We are going to explore." He told her, nodding. "And if you dont, I'll just carry you over my shoulder and tickle you until you agree." he told her, a mischief look on his face. He picked her up, letting her go over his shoulder as he started towards the school. He let a small laugh escape him, walking slowly.

Thomas looked at Violet in confusion as she went from snarling at him, to kissing him in just a matter of second. He pulled himself away from her lips, even though he knew he didn't want to. He looked at her and raised an eyebrow but said nothing as he rubbed his thumb gently over hers.

Clafin yelped as Luke settled her onto his back with great ease. She started to giggle loudly. "Luke let me down!" she said through breaks of laughter. After a while, she gave up and wrapped herself around him. "Where in the castle shall we explore tonight?" she said as her laughter died down. She nuzzled her face into his neck and pressed her lips against his skin.

Luke smiled, shaking his head. "I'm not letting you down, love." he told her when she finally gave up, resting against him. He let his arms stay around her as she kissed his neck, a shiver going down his spine. "Well, we could go and see if the rumors about the thrid floor are true. Or we could go and mess up the Huffies common room...or look at some trophies. But I like number one better." he told her, nodding a bit.

Violet looked at him when he pulled away, wanting badly to hit him. It wasnt her fault she was crazy, a bit sick in the head. Or disturbed. It was her fathers fault. She always tried to keep the crazy side of her out of the way, but sometimes, it found its way back, crawling into her like a worm in an apple. "I...need to go." She mumbled, forcing herself to move her hand from his.

Clafin lifted her lips from his neck as soon as she felt him shiver. "Are you cold?" she asked in a worried tone. She smiled to herself as she listened to him talk. I don't know what I did to deserve him, but thank you so much God she repeated to herself over and over in her mind. She realized that he'd stopped talking a while ago. "Rumors? I haven't heard anything. Well, thats probably because I don't talk to a lot of people.." Clafin cut herself off. She could tell that she was about to ramble on and on.

Thomas looked at Violet as her face darkened. "Why do you need to go?" he asked softly. He didn't understand what was going on. "Oh...So, you don't errr....Well then, that's a tad embarrassing. Sorry I uh kissed you." he said through a shaky voice as he stood up to leave.

Violet looked up at him with a dazed look. Oh..no...no dont go." She said softly, grabbing his hand in hers. She bite her lip softly, trying not to let tears merge in her eyes. The words her father told her over and over repeated in her head and she shook the thoughts away, smiling weakly. "Dont be sorry..." She mumbled, standing up beside him as she gave his hand a gently squeeze.

Luke shook his head. "I'm a werewolf, love. Do you really think I'm cold?" He asked her witha teasing voice. He stopped, turning to look at her. "Why do you always stop talking when you go to tell me something? Dont you realize most girls want a guy to listen to them?" he asked her softly, kissing the side of her head softly. "I dont care if you rant on and on and on. I'm going to listen anyways." he told ehr, smiling softly.

Clafin let go of him with one arm and thumped herself on the head. "Oh yeah. Forgot about that one for a second." she said through embarrassment. She wrapped her arm around him once again and laid her head down on his shoulders. "Well, I don't finish because my mind sometimes goes faster than my mouth and my thoughts come out in jumbled words. Does that make sense, or do I just sound crazy?" she asked softly. "Either way, I know you won't care...but what if I get so used to actually talking to you that I try and talk to someone else and they think I'm wacked in the head?" she added on.

"Violet, I honestly do not understand you one bit..." he stated calmly as her turned on his heel and squeezed her hand in his softly. He looked down at her. She looked as though she were about to cry. Thomas swiftly dropped to his knees so that he was eye level with her. "What's wrong?" he asked worried.

"You arent wack in the head...you are perfect love." he told her softly, kissing her softly again. He glared when she thumped herself in the head. "hey...no doing that." he told her sternly, shaking his head. "You are really weird love, but that's why I love you. We are both weird." He told her, nodding. "But you are weirder then I am..." he told her, teasingly. He kissed the tip of her nose before walking back towards the school, trying his best not to kiss Clafin again. He knew he was getting addicted to doing that way to much.

"That's good if you dont udnerstand me...no one does." She mumbled, sighing as he turned away from her. Everyone done that. It wasnt her fault that she was confused and sometimes didnt know what to do. She couuld hear the little voice in her head telling her it was her fault and she sighed again, only to see Thomas drop to his knees infront of her. Violet just shook her head, turning her face away from him.

Clafin rolled her eyes at him. "Me, perfect? Now there's a thought not worthy of speaking!" she said in a slightly dull tone. "Weird? Now I can agree with that one." she said through a giggle. "Although, I'm not sure if you are less weird than I am." she added on softly. A shiver rolled through her entire body as a crisp breeze blew by. She pressed herself into his warmth, but was still cold. "Now, what about the third floor?" she asked truly intrigued.

"Aw come on. Don't be like that." Thomas pleaded as he cupped his hand around her jaw. He turned her head gently towards him and looked into her eyes. Tears were rising in them. Thomas couldn't handle seeing people like this. He didn't know what to do or say. He pulled her into his chest and began rocking back and forth.

Violet just shook her head agian. "It's nothing." she whispered, leaning into his touch again. When he pulled her into his chest, her arms made their way around him, letting herself cry into his chest. She knew her face would be stained with blood, like all her tears where and she didnt care anymore. She was tired of caring, tired of hearing people talk about her. She hated being a vampire and wondered why her father had made her live like this, like a living doll of what she use to be.

"Hey, I can speak that anytime I want to." Luke told her, smiling. He just laughed softly, letting his hands tighten when she shivered. He walked into the school, setting her down softly. "Now, as I was saying. There is a three headed dog on the thrid floor and I want to see if it true. Come on...it's not like I cant talk to it." he told her, smiling agian.

"Three headed dog?" Clafin gasped in amazement. She tried to think of where she had heard of such a thing before. It suddenly dawned upin her. Uncle Harry had told a fairy tale of three young magic folk that tricked a three headed dog once. "My uncle Harry uh.." she started. "Oh never mind. It couldn't possibly be true." she finished. She reached for his hand, but was put off by poor coordination. She fell to her knees and caught herself with her hands. She looked up at Luke and smiled weakly.

Thomas leaned his head down and let it rest on her shoulder. "I know it can get tough sometimes, but when you look around you...It's not as bad as it seems all the time" he whispered softly into her ear. He knew how she felt...Empty. Alone. Forgotten. Lost. He decided that it would be best to keep it short, so he said nothing more.

Luke raised his eyebrows. "There you go again, stopping your sentences." He said, watching her. When she went to grab his hand, he watched her fall and he looked down at her. "I'm worried about you Clafin." he told her, bending down to pick her up. "No more walking for you...and we are going to the common room...or one of our common rooms." He told her, leaning his head against hers.

Violet shivered a bit when she heard him whisper in her ear. "It is bad, Thomas....it's not fair." She mumbled, turning her head to look at the wall beside her. She unwrapped one of her hands that were around him and wiped at her eyes, sniffling a bit as she felt the blood from her tears stain her hand. "I just want to be normal...I dont even want to be a vampire. I didnt even ask for this." She told him, turning her head to look up at him.

Clafin let him pick her up into his arms. "I'm fine! Falling down is a daily thing for me. We are going to see that three headed dog. I'll be fine" she said looking up at Luke. She wriggled down to the ground and pointed to a small scar on her neck. "See look! I really do fal- errr get hurt a lot." she said through a smiled as she remembered the night in the forest. She started walking towards the Grand Staircase and up to the third floor.

Thomas looked down at the girl in front of him, as he thought of what to say. "Neither did I.." he started. "..but sometimes people are put through tests. In the end, they are always stronger." he said, sounding sorrowful. He couldn't help but to wrap his arms more tightly around Violet. "It just may take a while for that point to come." he finished

Luke mumbled under his breath. "I'm going to put you on a leash if you dont get back here, right now, young lady..." Luke said, following her. When he made his way towards her, he quickly wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her away from the stairs. "Now, we can do this tomorrow. You need to rest." he said to her, trying to be calm with her. He didnt want to snap and hurt her feelings like he done everyone else.

Violet just shook her head. With a small sigh, she stood up, wiping her eyes again. "Come on, Thomas." She mumbled softly, holding her hand out for him. She just wanted to walk, to do something then sit and cry. Crying was weak, childish, shameful. She could still hear her father telling her to never cry, to hurt others when you were upset. And he always proved a point with her being the punching bag. She shivered again, taking a deep calm breath.

"A leash?" Clafin asked through a giggle as she felt his arms wrap around her. She instantly felt the warmth on her stomach. "Fine, I'll 'rest' but I don't think it'll do me any good." she said through a sigh. "OH! I have an essay to write about uhhh...Well you." she said softly. She looked up at him and smiled. "Sorry if that sounds weird. I don't mean for it to. I have a project to do for DADA about Werewolves." she went on.


Thomas put his hand in hers and stood up gracefully. He sighed to himself. "Where to?" he asked quietly as her looked to the floor then back to her face. "Are you going to be okay?" he added on softly as he watched Violet shiver.

"Yes, a leash. Dont tempt me...I will do it." He teased her, smiling. When she agreed to rest, he nodded. "That's a girl. Now come on." he told her, wrapping his arm around her waist instead of holding her against him like he was a few seconds ago. He smiled when she said she had to do an essay on werewolves. "All you need to write is look in row four desk two in the seventh year classes. I bet alot more people will hate me then." he said, nodding.

Violet shrugged, squeezing his hand softly. "Just...walking." she said softly, swallowing the lump in her throat. She wasnt sure were she was going, but she started waking pulling him along with her. "Yeah..I'm ok..." She whispered softly once more, clearing her throat a bit as they turned the corner.

"Oh, be quiet! Your not that bad." she said teasingly as she nudged him with her elbow. "Besides, I'd prefer not to fail. So..." she started, "Will you help me? Your the only Werewolf I know, other than Luis..and he's not that friendly. Well, he can be, but well...He just kind of creeps me out.." she finished and took a deep breath. She turned and put her arms around his neck. She looked up at him with her perfected puppy dog face. "Pleaseeee?" she begged.


Thomas nodded, but said nothing as he walked hand in hand with Violet. He felt like he was at peace...well he would as soon as he gave the letter in his back pocket to Clafin. He squeezed her hand softly.

Luke smiled at her, but said nothing. When she asked wouuld he help, he nodded, holding her close. "Of course...ask me anything and I will tell everything that is need to know. Although, I may not answer some..." He mumbled more to himself then to her. He shrugged, walking up the stairs to the Gryffindor Common Room. "Say the password and I will answer all your questions...then its bed time for you, ok?" he asked her, nodding once before allowing her to stand on her own.

Violet sighed softly, biting her lip as she walked down the stairs. When she got to the entrance hall, she looked around before walking out, coughing a bit from the lack of blood she had been getting lately. She just shivered again, keeping ehr eyes on the ground.

Clafin shook her head as he set her down. "But I'm really not that tired." she protested. She turned and faced the common room portrait. "Dirigible Plum" she said briskly. She then waited for the portrait to swing open, but when it didn't she pouted her lip. "Why won't you open? I gave you the password, and I'm in Gryffindor. Now let me through." she said in a demanding tone. The Fat lady rolled her eyes at Clafin and stared at Luke critically, before finally swinging open. Clafin grabbed his hand and led him to a large chair near the fire.

Thomas kept his eyes on Violet the whole while they were walking together, hand in hand. Her face look flushed and she looked more thin than she normally did. "Are you alright? You look a tad...thirsty." he said calmly.

"Yeah you are, Clafin." he said sternly. When she said the password, he kept his eyes on the ground, waiting to go in but the door didnt open. He was just going to turn around when her and the picture stared fussing. The door finally opened and he followed in behind her, sighing softly. "Everything hates me huh?" He asked her, but didnt say anuthing else as he sat down in the chair.

Violet nodded, shrugging. "I'm fine...just havent been feeding recently. Nothing wrong...just...not hungry I guess." She told him, wiping at her eyes some. "Nothing new...I always do this, just to see if I can do it." She lied, hoping he wouldnt catch on.

Clafin pulled herself onto his lap. "How would you know if I'm tired or not?" she asked defiantly. She looked up at him, awaiting an answer.
