Daily Prophet

There is many ways one can learn about history by word of mouth, from books or even the newspaper. The Daily Prophet is one newspaper that the magical community reads. For this assignment we’ll learn more about the Daily Prophet.

Part One: ( 30 points)

1) How is the Daily Prophet delivered? (1 points)

2) How long as they been producing papers? (2 points)

3) Where is the main Office located at? (2 points)

4) How much does the Daily Prophet cost? (2 points)

5) When the Death Eaters took over what was mostly published in the papers? (10 points)

6) What are the three editions of the paper? (6 points)

7) How does an edition change as the news changes throughout the day? (2 points)

8) What sections/ features are there in the paper? (eg. Sports column, nature column, comics?)(5 points)

Part Two: (50 points)

You were just hired to write an article for the newspaper. Below post your article but remember to include the title, Author’s name (possibly a picture/ avatar if you want), the article, and anything else you think needs to be included. The more creative the better! It can be about anything so long as it’s news that will affect the wizardry community in some way, whether it be news about a wizard’s good deeds or Death Eaters strike again it will have to have an impact on the magical folk. Be sure there is at least 300 words!

Bonus/ Part Three: (20 points)

For this part you can make a graphic of your article of how it will appear in the Daily Prophet. Will it be on the front or next to the Qudditch section? Be creative and post below!
