| i have heard that sirius may play an important role in the last book, but does that mean he isnt really dead? jk rowling said that you cant bring people back from the dead, but no one know what exactly is behind that veil. or could it be through memory form or perhaps portraits that he helps harry? what do you think? | |

| I seriously doubt Sirius is really dead. Okay, that might just be obstination, but still, think about it.
Harry's parents are definitely dead, Voldemort killed them. Same goes for Cedric, and we saw Dumbledore dying by the hand of Snape. All of them by Avada Kedavra. All those death were clear and there is no doubt about them. But Sirius... disappeared... behind... a stupid veil! (sorry, me still hate that stupid veil, I'm going to rip it). Bellatrix did hit him with a spell, but I'm sure she didn't kill him with it. There is something about that *coughstupidcough* veil that we don't know, and Sirius will come back... he can't be dead because of a veil

| The veil is an interesting concept and I dont think we have heard the last from Sirius. I think he may be dead, though, but I think there will be a way of 'speaking' with him, though dont ask me how - my thoughts are all jumbled about any theories of the last book. there is also a thread here: http://hogwarts-experience.heavenforum.org/viewtopic.forum?t=1438dealing with the two way mirrors. | |

| well, if i hadnt heard JKR say so herself in an interview, i would believe that Siruis wasnt dead, but she said so, so i guess he really is.
As for Sirius playing a part in book 7, well, there are many ways which he could do this without actually being alive. Remember when voldielocks possed Harry in the Atrium? And Harry's emotions were too much for his oldevilone to handle? Well, maybe something very simular might come into play in 7th book, maybe Harry will draw upon his feelings for Sirius, his past emotions, and use them in some way.
And one more thing, where did u hear this?

| Sirius is dead but just cuz he is dead in body doesn't mean his soul/spirit is dead. Just some food for thought. I believe book 7 will tie up all the loose ends to the story. Jesse Horcrux Hunt Riddle #15 To turn at will, Ah, such delight, Perhaps something shrill, Or a beast of might. | |

| Yeah I think that when Harry is killing Voldy, he'll need to mean to kill him. Like Moody says. So someone *coughGinnycough* will say
"Think of your parents! Think of Cedric! Think of Sirius!" and all the other people who Voldy has hurt.
And then Harry will kill him. And Harry will survive.

| Sirius' death is an interesting one. no one really knows for certain what the veil is or what is behind it, although lupin and the others were 'certain' that sirius was dead after falling through it.
I have heard that sirius, the younger him, might come into play in the last book, which is more than likely what JK means when she says that sirius will play a vital role. She did say there is no coming back from death

| IMO what JK meant about Sirius playing a vital role in the 7th book has a connection with the two way mirror which we r supposed to c again, i think perhaps that the vital role Sirius will play is one from beyond the grave.
As i think about it, i think of the one thing which harry has and voldielocks doesnt. Love. Harry loved Sirius just as he loved Dumbledore, bbut Sirius was the rock, the missing link, his stand in father figure. After losing DD i think that Harry will move forward with great strengh of charector, he has lost so much but he can still love, and that makes him stronger. Sirius's death will play on Harry's mind more then anything, it will be the driving force behind his task, finding and destroying the last of the horcruxes beforee being killed by Voldielocks who then dies at the hand of Snape. Then again .... Snape killed Dumbledore, Snape killed Harry's parents (well he is the one who sent Volidelocks looking for the potters) Snape killed Sirius, by suggesting that he stay at HQ an wait for DD, which he didnt do, and died....me thinks HArry thinks Snape is the one to blame, me thinks Harry will do what Sirius did once ... Send Snape to his death *covers Elfies ears and eyes just in case* gosh did that make any sense?

| hmm im not sure of the 'sirius speaking through the mirrow from beyond the grave' theory. Harry tried it, remember - to make contat with sirius - and he wasnt there - he didnt answer. Also, if sirius could do that - then why cant every other person who is dead do that?
I do know that the mirror and sirius will play a big part but im still leaning towards the younger sirius opposed to a beyond the grave sirius

| i didnt say Siruis would talkk to harry via the mirror, the mirror was smashed. What i meant was Sirius would be in Harry's memory, mmaybe we'll learn more about Sirius in the 7th book, not that there is much to learn but who knows. | |

| We know Sirius fell behind the vail. We are to believe he is dead because of this. Now I know that there were voices behind the vail so that must mean they are the voices of others that have died. Maybe it is were everyone in the wizarding world goes when they die. So I was thinking that there are many witches and wizards who have died. Some of them killed by Voldemort and the deatheaters. Maybe those people will be able to communicate with Sirius and let him know how to take down Voldemort. There could be people that know about where the horcruxes are, maybe RAB. If they tell Sirius and then Sirius can somehow contact Harry and let him know what to do, then that may be why he had to die. To be the one to find out the information to help Harry and bring Voldemort down. | |

| I wish he would come back too! But i think the death was nessicairy. if she hadn't killed off Sirius and skipped right to dumbledore in book six harry wouldn't have been ready. Sirius was the closest thing he remembered to being a fatherly figure. It prepared him for his mentors death. So even if i wish he wold come back i do think the death was important in the books. | |
