Subject: The Two Way Mirrors Fri May 12 2006, 12:52

What is the use of the Mirror Sirius gave Harry in this book? It was never used for what Sirius explained it to be for in the note, so do you think that it might come into play in the final book? JK doesn't usually put random things in her books, and it just seems that as it wasnt used, there must be something that is going to bring it back into the story? Harry probably wont throw it away as it is from Sirius, it wasnt used within HBP and I think I read somewhere that Sirius will have a big part in one way or another in the final book (correct me if i am wrong)
Does this mean that harry will figure out how to contact him through the mirror? I know he tried once, but maybe...?

yes i heard that sirius will play a big part in the last book also i think that harry will find a way i mean with dumbledore gone harry could be considered as one of the most powerful wizards around.

I guess that would be true - along with Voldemort, he is probably one of the most powerful.

I think that the two way mirrors will come into play in the last book, and hopefully involve sirius.

well you have to wonder why she threw that mirror in there so 'randomly' but gave us no explaination. You can bet the 7th book will reveal the secrets and give us the answers we all want :D

Maybe it will be used as communication between the Order/DA. I mean, I know he broke it, but maybe the pieces could work between each other now?

I think you are right Snape. I think that Harry will be able to contact Sirius through the mirror. There has to be a reason it was put into the books. JKR wouldn't have put it in unless there was a reason.

I think the mirror will come into play but not with Sirius it would be so nice if he did but I really and sincerly doubt it..

i say it will play an important part i dont think she would put it in for no reason unless shes tricking us and making us think it impottant when it isnt or maybe Sirius gave him the wrong mirror and that one was used for something esle......... i doubt it though

This does come into play in book 7 which surprized me even though JKR said it would,.

I loved the idea of the two-way mirrors and was thouroughly depressed when I found out all Harry had to do to see if Sirius was home was check the mirror...and I also loved the way it became central to the last book as well.
