Apollo is retiring and their looking for another god to take his place! In order to apply for the spot, you'll need to fill out a job application with your qualifications so that Zeus can pick the very best god for the job.

Scenarios:
1. A mortal has just insulted you and everything you stand for. How do you react?

2. A dispute has arisen on Earth over the borders of two lands, both which have been faithful followers of you. They both ask for your help in aiding their fight in war; will you appease both by staying out of the affair? Demand that they stop the dispute immediatley? Or do you choose one side over the other? What else might you do?

3. You are upset at another god who has tried to take over your power by attempting to corrupt some of your most faithful followers to their cause. How do you solve the problem?

4. Your training a mortal to become the next big Hero; how do you go about training?

Of course my dad, Apollo. He's super cool!! He's very talented don't you know that.ü
Who is your favorite Hero? Why?
Athena indeed. She's so intelligent. The nerd characteristic she has will neutralize the coolness of Apollo. Don't you think?
Why do you think you deserve the job over other gods?
Of course, I am his daughter. I've inherited some of his talents especially with music.
Scenarios:
1. A mortal has just insulted you and everything you stand for. How do you react?
If I know I have a better point in the argument, I'll fight for it. But if I realized that everything that mortal told is better than mine, I'll give up. I'll be no like with those other gods who will use their power to prove themselves right.
2. A dispute has arisen on Earth over the borders of two lands, both which have been faithful followers of you. They both ask for your help in aiding their fight in war; will you appease both by staying out of the affair? Demand that they stop the dispute immediatley? Or do you choose one side over the other? What else might you do?
I'll choose no side. For if I choose the other, the other might befriend me. I would rather ask both sides to talk with one another for it will always be in a peaceful way problems could be resolved.
3. You are upset at another god who has tried to take over your power by attempting to corrupt some of your most faithful followers to their cause. How do you solve the problem?
I'll look for other gods who believes me. And when the right time comes, that corrupt god will face his/her fate. I'll prove him that whatever he did, the truth will always rule.
4. Your training a mortal to become the next big Hero; how do you go about training?
I might attend with his character first. True god must know how to decide the right thing to do in times of doubts and confusion. When I'm already satisfied, I'll attend to his physical capabilities to prepare him for big battles he might have.

I am the god of Sight and Truth.

Powers: I have an immortal sight that allows me to see into the past, present, and future. When mixed with my powers of truth, I can easily see through the lies and potrayals of mortals as well as convince them to see the real truth.

Who is the god you look up to most? Why?
Zeus, simply because he is light hearted and upredictable. He may get upset over things, but for the most part stays level headed and just. Also because he allows himself to laugh his mightiest laugh at even the smallest things.

Who is your favorite Hero? Why?
Although most don't consider her to be a "hero", in the technical sense... I've found that I prefer Pandora above the rest. She was gifted by each of the Olympians, which gives her some sort of superiority over the mortals. While she did in fact release all things horrid to earth, she also gave them their humanity.

Why do you think you deserve the job over other gods?
In order to have light, you have to in turn be able to see the truth in all things.

Scenarios:
1. A mortal has just insulted you and everything you stand for. How do you react?
I would first try to view it from a mortal viewpoint, without jumping to drastic measures. Of course, seeing as how I am the Goddess of truth, I could let the mortal see the wrong of his own actions.

2. A dispute has arisen on Earth over the borders of two lands, both which have been faithful followers of you. They both ask for your help in aiding their fight in war; will you appease both by staying out of the affair? Demand that they stop the dispute immediatley? Or do you choose one side over the other? What else might you do?
I would never favor one side over the other, especially if they are both faithful to myself. Instead I would bring together the two leaders of the bordering nations and make them work together as one. The truth is that neither of them would survive the war that would follow if they didn't. Their decisions could effect their lands for generations to come, with a negative outcome. While war is an easy way to solve things, it is not the best.

3. You are upset at another god who has tried to take over your power by attempting to corrupt some of your most faithful followers to their cause. How do you solve the problem?
Handle it in whatever means necessary. While my followers are faithful, they are also mortal... which means they may easily become corrupt. I'd first warn of the other God, and if they fail to stop their actions I would simply show them a sight of their own death. That usually does the trick (;

4. Your training a mortal to become the next big Hero; how do you go about training?
Use my abilities in sight to prepare my hero for anything possible. Of course have intense physical workout sessions, but also prepare him/her mentally.

iamapureblood - I enjoyed reading this and it was creative, but a little more detail and explanation for the open ended questions would have been beneficial to the assignment. You recieve 78 points! Acceptable

Powers: I can alter the perceptions of mankind, controlling what imput reaches their brains, subtly twisting thoughts, ideas and senses. "Perception is reality." I can invoke desires, bringing them forth and braking the chains of inhibition.

Who is the god you look up to most? Why?
Loki, Trickster god (sometimes evil portrayed) albiet he's actually part frost giant but he was adopted into the pantheon as a son of Odin. He's so clever, using his mind over his brawn, he can use the nifty items of the others, and sure he may lead to Ragnarok, but it's just a new begining after all.

Who is your favorite Hero? Why?
Doctor Victor Von Doom. But..isn't he a villian? Tell me this? Is not every man hero of his own tale? He also was the hero of the gypsies of Latervia who had been oppressed under the last rule. He is able to overcome all obsticals, reaching beyond the peaks of human yet remaining so, he has supreme will, rules his own country with diplomatic immunity, and is one of the mightiest sorcerors of his world as well as a genius scientist and inventor and he can fight. He is a good as he thinks he is. He wishes to save his Mother's soul from hell, defeat his rival and bring order and security to all the world.

Why do you think you deserve the job over other gods?
I am free currently, and am familiar to the hearts of mankind. I will do the job without compromise.

Did he? The mortal simply wishes confirmation of my power, like a child pushing a boundary. By the time he leaves, he will be spouting my glory to the rooftops.
2. A dispute has arisen on Earth over the borders of two lands, both which have been faithful followers of you. They both ask for your help in aiding their fight in war; will you appease both by staying out of the affair? Demand that they stop the dispute immediatley? Or do you choose one side over the other? What else might you do?
Please. A shared temple shall be built along this border and the borderland claimed as holy to me so that they may become one and not divided. If that doesn't work, ...I'll empower a few of them (both sides) and let them sort it out.

Oh. Right. Sorry. He's trying to take back his old followers actually..he he..but under me they have less hang overs. Chain him securely this time and siphon some power from him directly after getting him drunk. As for the followers I get some more as well.

I make him immortal and send him into the past to do 100 heroic deeds. He should learn plenty on the way, for each evil deed he does it takes away a good credit.

Gloria Malfoy - I loved that you chose to take such an interesting look at perception and kept that view throughout (like in the hero question). Very enjoyable to read and good detail.
