Dougal landed silently on his feet. He tried to listen for any sound that would indicate if anyone else was wake. Shaking his head, he made his way into the shack. He had fallen asleep just for a moment. Master Newt would not be happy to have lost Jimmy again. The baby Occamy had slipped through unattended but Dougal would find it and bring it home. At least this time nothing else had escaped from the case. Climbing the stairs, Dougal suddenly had a flash of the future, he saw himself getting out of the case and see that he was now in the desert.

The niffler shot up from his sleep. The wondrous, captivating, glorious scent of gold perforated his nose. He carefully slinked over to where Newt was asleep, unaware of the niffler’s presence. Smiling, the niffler crept closer: there it was on the table, a great bag of gold! The niffler dragged it to his den, taking care not to wake Newt with the clinking of victory. The niffler slept soundly, surrounded by gold. The next morning, he woke, stretching to feel his gold, but felt nothing. Panicked, he heard Newt laughing above him. “I got you,” Newt laughed, “just leprechaun gold.”
