dumbledores look in his eyes after voldermort arises

I might just be reaching here but I was thinking. I havent got the book in front of me at the moment - but i remember when sirius, dumbledore and harry are in dumbledores office after they have found out about crouch jr - when harry describes the use of his blood to help voldy arise - and the blood protection that voldy wanted - it states that for a brief moment - dumbledore has a look of triumph in his eyes. Now this must mean something as jk rowling doesnt usually put significant things like that in for no reason, but i am stumped as to what it might mean. Any ideas?

I don't know, it may mean.....ummm..... that both are going to die,lol!!! i am totally crazy right now, lol and i'm going to say that they're both going to die!!!yea, that's it, lol. i mean i just i always thought that; even from what your signiture says....neither can live while the other survives.... i always thought that meant that neither can live....period! i Don't know why i always thought that, i just always did, but that's interesting, let me get back to you. i just don't know right now, kind of tired,lol!

I think it means that now Voldy has human blood, so he can die. Thus making it easier for Harry to kill him. And survive. Harry is gong to survive.

I like that theory ginny - it is true it makes him more human! mhahahaaaaa evil voldy's going to die!!

I have a theory for this.

It has to do with the Horcruxes, and I haven't posted in that thread yet, but I will do later, because this makes sense here too...

I read this in a fanfic on SIYE, so I take no credit for the idea, but Voldie has seven parts to his soul. Himself + 6 parts. On that night in Godric's Hollow, the Himself bit died/got destroyed. So that leaved 6 horcruxes.

When he died in book one because quirrel died, i think he had used one of his horcruxes to be able to posess quirrel in the first place, therefore, when quirrell died, that horcrux died with him. That leaves 5 horcruxes.

Second book: diary is destroyed, leaving 4 pieces.

Coming back to the look in Dumbledore's eyes, I think that Voldie had to use another Horcrux to that was in the cauldron to begin with (as there must be a liquid something or solid in it before Wormtail put stuff in it) .

Therefore, the triumphant look would mean that they now only have 3 pieces to hunt down and Voldemort himself to go after.

I think Dumbledore could have known this and he didn't have time to tell Harry before he died, so he was triumphant...

What do you guys think?

Hmm, yes, that is a possibility. After all, after going through all that trouble with the horcruxes he might have had to use one then...

But, then again, the spell...no, bad, no over thinking this. The spell could work around a horcrux.

Very interesting. I thought about this ages ago but then forgot about it. I thought that it is something to do with harry now having something over him - ready for when harry kills voldemort in the final book

Voldemort now has the blood of Harry's Mother now flowing through his veins. Maybe that means that now Voldemort will be capable of loving because of Lily's blood. Maybe it will make Voldemort weaker and will enable Harry to kill him more easily. I'm not to sure about this. There has to be a reason for Dumbledore's look of triumph.

Let me start at the beginning.. The only 3 horcrux buisness. I don't beleive that. And here's why. Dumbledore would not have sent Harry on this wild goose cashe after 6 if he knew there are only three. Dumbledore wouldn't do that.

But I do think that it has something to do with being human. Somewhere someone said this maybe Hagrid roughly "He doesnt have enough human left in him to die."

That would meen the blood would give him enough human to die? idk?

I agree and i have another theory*takes a deep breath* DUMBLEDORE IS EVIL!!!!!!!!!!! forgive me dumbledore's fan.but i think can be possible.as for the protection dumby has been giving harry maybe its just an act so that he dosen't fall into trouble.and horcruxes,plz remember that the horcrux dumby and harry went to get was a fake one.and maybe that ring was not at all a horcrux.plz forgive me for telling this everybody.i surely don't want this to happen and i know that mostly it won't happen.

i dont think he is evil it just doesnt seem like that could be it b/c in the 6th book dumbledor saves harry life by casting the spell and putting the cloak over him and if he was evil he would have just let harry die after he did

he knows harrys going to defeat him becuase voldemort has harrys blood in him so that means that he is slightly more human so after killing the horcruxes it could be easyer to kill him also theres that thing the brother of each others wands cant kill each other so maybe harry could kill him becuase he has harrys blood inside him


or maybe he was just proud that his school won the triwizard torniment

maybe dumblrdor knew this and was glad to hear that it has finally happened

After reading this book again i have thought of something else....... maybe dumbledor was glade to hear this because like dumbldors been saying that he wasd going to come back and now that he has came back now dumbledor knew that there was one less horux for his to find and destroy and knew that once he found them all then all he had to do then was defeat.;....... i guess

I am pretty sure JKR said something about this. He knew that Harry and VOldemort were connected but a bit of soul but were really two individuals.. or somehting like that.
