Qualifications and what you are studying

I thought as I am nearing the end of my GCSE's (yay! ::partyy:: ::partyy:: ::partyy:: )
that I would post a post to see what qualifications people have or what they are studying or want to study.

At the moment, I dont know what I am going to study after GCSE's, possibly going into 6th form to do A'levels - possibly psychology is one of them.

What qualifications do others have, or what do you want to study or what are you studying?

I've nearly finished my GCSEs toooooo!!!! Just had my Chemistry - which, if I do say so myself, was rather... *insert bad word here* But still, most of them went okay-ish!

I'm definitely going into 6th form after this... Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Music. An odd combination but a very 'me' one... all scientists and musicians are mad, so I'll just be an EXTREMELY mad one... eccentricness!!!!

but in all seriousness, i should be graduating from undergraduate university in december. from there...who knows. ive been toying with the idea of moving back to europe (either germany or the netherlands, methinks) but who knows where i'll end up.

I'm currently at university, just finished my first year studying French and English

I got all A's and A*s in my GCSE's, A's at AS Level, and A's and a B at A Level.

And...that's it!

I'm presently doing my last exams ever of Highschool *french today, yay no more highschool french!* and next year I'm going to College. I'm going to study in litterature, because I love reading and writing, I always do that in class (maths, english, french, economical study, name it, I read and write during those class instead of listening to the teacher lol) and I think it'll be great to actually... be allowed to do those things ^^

I got a couple of A's in my gcse's and 4 B's and the rest C's. I also got 1D, 1C and 1B in my A'levels. I am studying English at college at the moment, which is so hard.

I'm a German major. I actually started out Engineering ...lol... don't know what I was thinking.

i didnt do brilliantly in my gcse's because im dyslexic and i got no help

but im now studying for a nvq in health and social care

I've just finished my GCSE's (actually my last one's tomorrow- who was it that told me to take Statistics?!?!?! Stupid Idiot...oh wait that was me...)

I took the normal (Maths, English Lang and Lit, Separate Sciences, French, ICT, RS[in year 10]) and I took German and History as my options and Stats of course...

I also took Hinduism and Sikhism RS last year ( I got a B) and I got an A in RS short Course. Iam on Grade 2/3 (confusion with teacher) in Dance so if I get Grade 4, that is a GCSE too!

Next year, I shall be taking Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Further Maths though I'm thinking of dropping further Maths to give me time to do Millenium Volunteers and Duke of Edinburgh...

Mad aren't I?

I have a few computer qualifications of late, though mainly i teach myself what I know. Sharon is insisting I take the higest A+ qualification of computing though I dont know if I could go back and take more exams - I have never liked exams - does anyone really?

I'm taking Algerbra, English, World Studies, Enverionmental Science, Computers, Tecnology, and of coarse Choir. The requirements? You have to go to my Middle School lol

I pretty much take whatever i can fit into my schedule.
Especially if its science or preforming arts.

I've recently finished what you guys call GCSE's. We call it O-Level examinations. I did english lang. lit,french, spanish, history,computer and biology (yech! i hate biology) And I want to be a chef in the future. I know weird subjects for that profession but they didn't offer home-ec in my school.

Im studying everything becuase I have to which is annoying, but I am counting the years down

I have An A* in Drama GCSE, 4 B's and 4 C's in GCSE.
3 B's in my ALevels.
Numerous typing and IT qualifications.

And I'm currently at Uni majoring in Drama Yayness !

I'm studying English, Literature, Art, Church History, a mild form of Chemistry, and Algebra 2.

Oh yay for middle school.

My oldest sister didn't have the money to send my and my other sister to college, but we managed. I'm a secretary for a law firm downtown.

I always wanted to study psychology though.

Stephy when we go to year 10 proberly 10th grade to you we get to chose what subjects we want to take instead of keeping the ones you dont so you can have more focus on them XD.

I HAD the normal boring and completly useless subjects such as MATHS, for example, and a few subjects we could choose because we wanted to (lol) like French, German, Business, Music (song, instrumental, choir...), economics, IT, art (drawing, sculpture, drama, writing...), P.E (team sports, athlethics etc...) and more that i can't even remember xD Then we chose a certain amount of courses of those and made our timetable with the study instructor.

I had French, German, Music (instrumental + song), Art (drama + writing), IT, Economics, P.E (the whole set)

So of the theoretical subjects (French and German) i would have got "bonus points" if i had searched into a school like that, but now i got more points on the practical side so MWAHAHAAAA :D

And from August 15th, i'm studying Med/social, and i'm planning on becoming a instructor for young people, meaning.... emos :D

Of course, i could become a nurse too, but that's not fun xD

Im already going into 11th grade and i have no clue what your talking about. what our school does is give you a piece of paper, tell you what subjects you have to take, then tell you how many credits you can have and how much credit each class is.... thats all our school does for the 10-12 graders

Okay, so I just finished an eight week long practice at a hospital. Four weeks on the bedward side, or whatever you call it, and four weeks on children's ward/delivery ward.

(Yes, it was a real freak show; watching random people give birth to these ugly, covered-with-red-goo-and-other-stuff babies, pop out of nowhere - practically!)

And believe it or not, after those eight weeks, I really wanted to become a nurse :D It's not as bad as I thought it would be. I got to watch when a patology cut open a dead corpse, and then the more nasty stuff; tell people that their loved ones had died, ick.

But all in all, it was fun! On Monday it's back to school, and studying my butt off for next spring, when I'm gonna go on a five week long practice with handicapped people.

Well, I've just started my uni degree this autumn - International Business with Japanese. So far, I love it! ('cept maybe for the law lectures xD) ... yeah.. my subjects this term are Introduction to Marketing, Understanding Organizations (which basically is Organizational Behaviour), General Principles of English Law and Analytical Techniques, aka the maths-y part. And of course, 6 hours of Japanese classes per week. :D

I love it! - especially because I'm gonna get to go to Japan in my 3rd year ^.^ (Means I'll study 4 years for my Bachelor, but I don't mind XD)

I'm choosing my GCSEs (some wont have heard of them, theyre exams you take when your in your 4th year of high-school) after christmas.

We have to do maths, english and science, and then im also doing art, english literature, possibly Home economics, french (maybe), and then geography or something.

I dunno! lol

I've just found out what my timetable for next term looks like. Besides Japanese, I'll be having Introduction to Economics for Business Students, Introduction to Financial Reporting and I'll continue Analytical Techniques (this time, the Statistics part of the module) - YAAAY for lots of maths-y stuff! ^.^ ... and yes, I actually mean it! - I've discovered I prefer courses where you actually get to do something practical, like solving a problem, as opposed to just listening to stuff and writing an essay at the end and not being able to have some results and say, "Yes, I know this!".... :D

What is weird, though, is that we're only having 3 Business modules .... not that I'm complaining, but they had announced Managing Organisations as being the follow-up for Understanding Organisations .... wonder why ... :/

History, Geography, Double Award Science, English Lit and maybe music.. i'm so unorganised when It comes to picking them.. I only have two months to decide xD

I took B.S. in Architecture but dropped it on my second term while I was in second year. Now I'm paying attention on applying new schools for a NEW course. I kinda fell out of love with my first course, I actually dunno. And sorta found it with kids. XD

Yes, kids. So I think I'll be taking up Education next term for pre-schoolers. I just love kids. Haha!! XD

Stephy, just major in whatever *you* feel suits you best - because in the end, it's you who's going to be working in the field, not your parents. That's not to say that you shouldn't take into account your parents' arguments but the final decision is only yours. :D

... see, if I'd have listened to my dad, I'd be studying architecture right now. XD ... and believe me, I got quite a lot of "you're-making-a-great-mistake-it-would-be-so-much-better-if-you-studied-architecture"-bugging from my dad until almost right up before I left for uni xD

Cris you're supposed to be studying Architecture? Good heavens! Your so lucky cause you didn't and became one of us ArchiTORTURE students. XD

Well, I am good at drawing, that's why my dad suggested it - but I prefer the chaotic-type of drawing, more like, painting and general fuzzy stuff .. I don't have patience to draw details and straight lines and whatnot. And I often mess up the perspective, therefore I believe I'm not exactly what you call "good architect material", although I've got lots of friends who are studying it right now and it *does* sound like a cool thing to study, lol. xD

But I would imagine studying something like design or so at some point in the future, if I decide to go into the marketing-advertising direction (as opposed to more finance-y stuff).

Oh, me too!! The detailed drawings, measurements and whatsoevers sucks!! >.<
Though, I'm good at perspectives. But when our professors started to be TOO perfectionist I also started falling out of love from it. Urgh! There was this plate that we've done for an entrance gate of a subdivision 1/3 of our class has really done great but only two passed her taste. That witch!

Anyway, yes it was - somehow - really a cool thing to study, but seriously complicated. Though when you graduated, everything will be worth it.
(Now I think I'm losing my points. XD)

Why not try Fine Arts?Then take a major in Advertising. That would give you much things to be done in future.

Awww man, nothing's easy, I guess :/

... but yeah, Architecture is the type of thing that pays out in the end xD

And ... I did consider Fine Arts at some point, but then I figured I wasn't good enough yet to stand any chance in the entry exam <_<" ... it's quite tough hehe. And whether I'll be good enough after I graduate what I'm studying now is a question of how well I manage to keep up the drawing and improve :/

Oh well. Got another few years.
