Head of Gryffindor and Slytherin

Who will be the new head of Gryffindor and Slytherin now that McGonagall will become headmistress and snape has fled?

maybe mcgonagall will continue to be head of gryffindor as well? as for slytherin, maybe there wont be any slytherins left!

well...i believe it was mentioned that slughorn is now head of slytherin...and it is my belief that either hagrid...oh stop laughing! or a new teacher will take over gryffindore, that is, if mcgonnagal doesn't stay as head of house. remember she is only deputy headmistriss...so maybe they will just hire a new headmaster/mistress....or maybe hogwarts won't even be open and everyone will be out of a job *shrugs*

I sus[pect hogwarts will stay open...but as I think about it they'd probably close it as it's too dangerous.

Hopefully it will stay open and I think mcgonagol would stay head of house

Has it been said for certain that mcgonagall will overtake as headmistress? I know that she is deputy head, but that doesnt always mean that deputys are certain to take over?

I think Hpgwarts will open, and McGonagall will be head.

makes sense to me. I think the deputyhead would be Flitwick or Sprout

Slughorn for Slytherin sounds well, especially because Slughorn also represented Slytherin right after Dumbledore's death.
I'm not sure about Gryffindor, though. I think it would be possible for McGonagall to remain Head of House. Hagrid is trustworthy, but... dunno. He doesn't really seem fit to be head of house, since he isn't exatly rule-obeying himself XD Or maybe I've got used to McGonagall too much XD - they're opposites, anyway!

Yeah but you're all forgetting that Slughorn didn't want to teach at Hogwarts for more than one year, and even then it took a lot from Dumbledore to convince him too. I doubt he's gonna stay there, especially in such times of danger since he cares a lot about his own safety, now that Dumbledore is dead too.

anyway, he might show a bit of solidarity, especially in the given circumstances... and after all, isn't it all the same if he's at Hogwarts or anywhere alse? Now the DEs are everywhere. And if he doesn't want to, I'll bet anything that McGonagall will try to force him.

He doesn't seem like one much for solidarity to me, unless there's something in it for him.. and I don't think McGonagall would have the same influence as Dumbledore

On second thought, it was Harry who convinced him in the first place, although rather unknowingly. What if he would do it again and tell him, for example, that he will lead a great life afterwards, with popular Harry & co., or even assure him some further contacts in the ministry - where Slughorn could actually be helpful, like help Harry, through some of his contacts, get somewhere in the ministry unnoticed. Wouldn't Sluggie be proud to do something like that? :/ And think of all the prestige he would have afterwards if it got out that he has worked with the Order.

I dont think Slughorn would be head of slytherin b/c he didnt want to teach it to begin with. i dont think hagrid would work either b/c he didnt graduate from hogwarts and his wand was snaped in two. I dont think mcgollangan will be headmisstress for long b/c of this interesting piece of information that i learned that she might be working for voldemort if this be the cause and harry doesnt got o school then mcgollagan might not be at hogwarts doing what she supose to be doing.

Okay I think she will probaly take over as headmistress and I think that slughorn will probaly stay teaching I think he liked working there more than he lets on. And I think that maybe the new DADA could take over?
