| I recommend you all to read "Paradise Kiss" by Yazawa Ai. I've seen the anime first, I totally loved it, and then I got the manga, too, and I loooooved it!!! *.* And good part is, it's pretty short, too - 5 books.
Oh, and Arlywyn: I didn't even know there was any manga of "Crouching tuger, hidden dragon", I just remember seeing a movie with this title. Woah, I loved that movie and I guess the manga would be even better... *lost in dreaminess* | |

| My list, prepare for a long one! xD: The Gentleman's Alliance,Anima+,Naruto, One Peice, A Thousand Years of Snow, Alice 19th, Demon Diary, anything CLAMP, Fruits Basket, FMA, Ouran High School Host Club (the anime is hilarious), Kare Kano, Bleach, Koi Soru Piano, Marmalade Boy, Mars, and... dang, if I list 'em all you'll go insane. So... all of the above is either some sort of fantasy or romance. ...When I look at all those now and add the ones I haven't posted and the animes/dramas I've watched: Jeez, I'm obsessed. >.>

| Back with some recommendations! (in no particular order) Fullmoon Wo Sagashite - cuuuuuuuuuute! Hehe, Juneybug told me about this one and I listened to her advice and got it and it's lovely! ^.^ Plus: it's drawn by Arina Tanemura! *.* Revolutionary Girl Utena - makes me go "squee". And it's got an original plot. And a strong [tomboy-ish xD] girl as the main character. Annnnd ... a pretty fairytale-ish atmosphere, with a castle hanging upside-down from the sky and a prince - but it's not all just fairytale, oh nooo! ... just try it yourselves to know what I mean :D Missile Happy! - I can't believe I haven't posted this somewhere before, it's one of my faves when I'm feeling in a girly-pink mood, it's sooo funny and romantic ^.^ Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne - a must!! It's like... a classic! Go buy it NOOOOWWWWW! Annnd it's Arina Tanemura again, which means simply beauuutiful drawings (somewhat more flowery and romantic than Fullmoon - but it's older :D) Suppli - okay, this might be more for older readers, as the main character is a woman aged 30, and everything revolves around the way she splits her work- and love life (*cough* ... she's quite a workaholic, so the love-thing is difficult for her). She's got a lot of complexes and whatnot, plus you also get to know other characters closer from time to time, which is nice... a lot of feelings involved and somewhat metaphorical texts and drawings. Apart from that, it gives you a bit of an insight into the Japanese society, especially the working world, so if you're interested in that, you might want to at least give it a try. My opinion: thumbs up! Dragon Ball - Okay, this is an absolute must, a classic, and if you've never had contact with the DB world (which I don't believe, since you're a citizen of planet Earth XD) I strongly advise you to get it as soon as possible! And if you are - like me - someone who was a DB-fanatic in the good old days, you should still get it (if you don't have it already xD) - it's soooo much fun and .... I love Akira Toriyama for creating it! <33 | |
