can we do something involving shakespeare? possibly...the scottish play....(cannot say it for she has a play comming up). only i'm in drama at school and i adore acting and anything to do with plays and such. lol

since its art and not technically "physical art" (Paintings;drawings) maybe we could do something involving Music since that is a form of art.. like break down the meaning to a song or write our own song based off of HP or the HE ( I know weve have challanges similer to that but I mean this class is for art and music is a form of art! Im being smart... you should smack me elfie)

I was thinking... maybe we could do an HP fan fiction, but with a ship we totally don't like? Kind of like an "Out of your COmfort Zone" kind of fic? It would be challenging for a lot of us, I'm sure, but if this isn't a good suggestion just ignore it :D

Hmmm with teh music thing, i was thinking maybe you would have to find a song you like and relate it to Harry Potter in no less than 200 words or something.

Since this is like an art class as well as Drama and Creatiev writting, why don't we have a video part of the class, choose one thing students have to make their video on. Forexapmle, a harry/ginny ship, a ron/hermione, Draco/hermion, a snape video etc

We have that art appreciation thing right now, so I was thinking that a similar thing with architecture would be cool.

How about we have to write a fanfic with a certain amount of words, certain characters, in a certain setting. Elfie would hold a vote and the winner would get 200 points.

Rainy July on the deck of the durmstring ship.

expressing more on the play idea why not create our own play. Listing off the charachters; a summery and a tidbit from the actual screenplay? since I know we have loads of drama kings and Queens on the site.

How about we have to pick a character from HP and write from their perspective about something exciting that happened. But it should be from a certain chapter.. I don't know if someone already said that or not.. if they did sorry!!

How about we pick something in a particular HP book (perhaps starting at the first) that we would change and then show the outcome of that change and it's effect on the rest of the book? For instance, maybe you would want to change Hermione hearing Ron dissing her, that would effect the outcome of the Troll incident in the bathroom, and Quirell might have succeeded in getting past fluffy, and so on and so on. It could be interesting, depending on how far you want to take it.

How about a Diary Entry project. Everyone will have to become a magical student from hogwarts and explain a day in there life, how they felt, what they might have learned, who they might have talked to, whos there best friend. Simply writing a Diary Entry and make it creative, you know?

... I know plenty of people that arnt happy with the ending of Harry Potter... maybe for a class we could write our own epilouge.. with requirments such as:

It must stick to the same General story line
(like no personal ships or anything)

Making sure to get the new children charachters
(Rose, Scorpius... ect.)

Or even a fun requirment like:
You must use the word tree atleast Seven times or something..

Lol.. So thats a creative writing class Idea.

This is another Creative writing type thing.. but also under the arts category.

Basically.. Its.. What you would do if you were a hogwarts painting. Paintings obviously play a good sized role in all the harry potter books.. so have us explain how a painting feels.. and other things along those lines. (like who the painter was, who the painting itself is, what the painting is really portraying.. who the painting has mingled with ect.)

Well The Halloween Season is here and since this a creative writing class I thought we could take a leave out of my Creative Writing teachers in RL's book.

In her class we had to write an Epithat(?)

Or in other words what would be on our head stones when we did, like some one has..."Well this sucks" on theirs and an athiest has "All dressed up and nowhere to go." on his. So we could make one for either ourselfs or some for the Harry potter characters.

What about disecting poems?

How about for music, if we take a traditional christmas carol and re-write it Harry Potter style?

I second the Christmas Carol Idea :] sounds fun!

How about Valentines Day Poetry. There are all these cute sayings in Valentine's Day cards so why not think up a couple of our own like Ginny did in CoS

Some suggestions:

* Local Artists - Either in real life community or HE community - look for an artist of any kind, painter, designer, musician, actor etc etc - Research their history and their art and interview them with questions that you create. Find out their inspiration, get samples of their work etc etc (this could be a coursework style class rather than a one off?)

* Computer arts/design/graphics class etc, possible ideas are creating them, researching different kinds, history of it etc etc

* Produce a gallery of one for the follwing: Earth, water, fir, light, air etc.

* Focus on differnt models in the art world, nt human models, but models such as angels, gargoyles etc

* Painting styles classes

i no most have sadi this about the fanfic but what about a songfic.we pick a song,or you give us a list of songs(love songs cause if you give me a rock song or dark i go really dark adn my story was to dark it got rejected on HPFF)and give us a chioce of ships.like Harry/Giiny or Hermione/Draco.Neville/Luna.Cedric/Cho(before he died) something like that.

possibly put up a really old poem and then get ti translated, First to PM the correct translation wins 100 points!

- Lights, Cameras, Action!;; music videos, trailers for fics or books or an rp site, video interpretation of a poem, or put together a video of pics or clips to tell a story

- You and Music;; how does music influence you? what do you listen to when you are happy, sad, angry, etc? has any piece of music effected your life and, if yes, how? stuff like that

- Song!Fic;; use one of the following songs (list songs of choice) and write a fic for it. has to be 600 words or longer (or other word count) minus lyrics

- Screenplay;; write a screenplay on one of the following topics (list topics), write a screenplay for a music video, write a screenplay adaption of a fanfic, short story, or a scene from a book

- Song Interpretation;; find a song and interpretate its meaning

- A Fic for the Enemy;; write a fic on a ship you hate that includes someone from your fav ship

- Once Upon a Time;; a collaborative story...you will sign-up and then be put into groups. you will work together to plan, organize, and write a story or fanfic. Points will be awarded based on effort.

- Gallery;; make a gallery based on one object (i.e. an element, season, place, or object)

EDIT:

- My Not-So-Happy Ending;; life doesn't end up all perfect like some stories and movies make it seem. write a story about something that didn't have a fairy tale ending.

- Sing Your Heart Out;; write a song (theme possible). extra points for recording yourself singing it and even more if you have backup music (no copyrighted music of course)

- Poetry Book;; Kind of like the Book of Shadows we can put together a book of poetry. Get ideas here.

The deatheaters have the dark mark that shows their allegiance, but there is no corresponding mark for the Order members (not that they would probably have tattooed it on themselves if there had been, but who knows). I think there should be an assignment to create one.
